    Project Finance Accountant - JHB

    Key responsibilities include:

    Project Accounting & Reporting

    • Maintain detailed project accounts, ensuring proper costing.
    • Prepare monthly project financial statements and management reports.
    • Ensure proper allocation of indirect costs and overheads.

    Budgeting & Forecasting

    • Assist in preparing annual project budgets and periodic forecasts.
    • Track project variances and provide explanations to management.

    Revenue & Cost Recognition

    • Apply correct accounting treatment for revenue.
    • Ensure costs are captured accurately in alignment with project agreements.

    Cash Flow & Funding Management

    • Monitor project cash flows, funding requirements, and capital drawdowns.
    • Liaise with treasury accountant and project managers to ensure liquidity for project execution.

    Compliance & Audit Support

    • Ensure compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
    • Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Act as a point of contact between finance, project managers, and external stakeholders.
    • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and risk mitigation.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (essential).
    • Professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or ACT treasury certification) advantageous.
    • 3–5 years of experience in project accounting or project finance, ideally within renewable energy, infrastructure, or large-scale capital projects.
    • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in complex project environments.
    • Exposure to funding agreements, donor/grant reporting, or project financing structures is a plus.

    Treasury Accountant

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's various bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
    • Perform daily, monthly, and yearly bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
    • Prepare cash flow forecasts, variance analyses, and funding requirement reports.
    • Monitor credit facilities, negotiate terms, and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
    • Execute payments, transfers, and settlements in line with internal controls.
    • Maintain treasury systems and ensure accuracy of data flows into the general ledger.
    • Monitor and report on loan facilities, interest schedules, and covenant compliance.
    • Prepare and present regular financial reports, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
    • Manage foreign exchange transactions and minimise currency-related risks.
    • Ensure adherence to treasury policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
    • Liaise with banks, auditors, and internal stakeholders regarding treasury matters.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and reduce costs.
    • Support year-end statutory reporting and internal and external audit processes

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (essential).
    • Professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, SAIPA or ACT treasury certification) advantageous.
    • 3–5 years’ experience in treasury, finance, or accounting functions.
    • Proven experience in cash flow forecasting, banking, and reconciliations.
    • Exposure to corporate treasury, project finance, or multinational environments advantageous.
    • Experience with renewable energy or similar industries is advantageous.

    Creditors Clerk

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
    • Capturing and processing approved invoices, ensuring compliance with local laws and requirements, for example VAT and WHT, for payment, generating bi-weekly payment reports
    • Capturing bank transactions and performing bank reconciliations at month end
    • Capturing of senior management’s expense claims
    • Assist with providing support during annual audits and ensuring audit folders are up to date prior to audit
    • Maintain and update contract databases
    • Reconciliation of payables and other general accounts
    • Develop and maintain filing system (invoices, expense claims, company contracts) for Seriti Green Asset Management

    Essential Skills

    Education & Experience

    • Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 2+ years of experience in a clerk role, preferably in the renewable energy sector
    • Proficiency in using accounting software such as Pastel, Sage Accounting and Oracle NetSuite for invoice processing and financial reporting
    • Understanding of South African tax regulations and their implications on accounts payable

    Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist - JHB

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to evaluate business scenarios and support decision-making.
    • Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods providing explanations for variances and recommending corrective actions.
    • Provide management reporting with clear insights and recommendations.
    • Analyse business performance trends, KPIs, and drivers of profitability.
    • Partner with business units to support strategic initiatives and resource allocation.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (essential).
    • Professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, CFA, CA(SA), SAIPA, ACCA) advantageous.
    • 5–7 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis or related roles, with experience in group-level reporting and analysis.
    • Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
    • Experience in the renewable energy sector or other capital-intensive industries.
