    Information Officer: Operations Room

    Requirements

    • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Conservation/Policing/Information Management or equivalent thereof.
    • A minimum of 3 years relevant working experience.
    • Knowledge of the relevant legislation, NEM: Protected Areas Act, National Heritage Resources Act, NEM: Biodiversity Act, Criminal Procedure Act, Integrated Coastal Management Act, Marine Living Resources Act and the regulations promulgated there under.
    • Advanced computer literacy – Microsoft Office packages, database management, (working knowledge of REST API, JSON is an added advantage)
    • Working knowledge of ArcGIS or QGIS software (Working Knowledge of Analyst Notebook is an added advantage).
    • Valid code 8/10 driver’s license
    • Excellent verbal/written (including presentation skills and public speaking abilities) communication skills are a prerequisite.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the data capturing from various sources onto Cmore and other software platforms.
    • Assist with the maintenance of the information databases.
    • Clean, analyse, interpret and package information to support effective decision making in line with Area Integrity Management principles.
    • Perform the analysis of data to guide, reactive and proactive law enforcement interventions.
    • Ensure efficient and accurate information management.
    • Create and maintain information dashboards for dissemination to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Oversee the management of technology feeds in the Operations Room.
    • Support and ensure efficient operational control measures are in place, aligned to safety & security and the relevant operational plans.
    • Collate information for weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual reports.
    • Field reports and information received in the Operations Room.
    • Provide relevant information for Area Integrity Management reporting.
    • Assist with operational deployments by the SEAM Team when necessary.
    • Support internal and external stakeholder liaison, attend relevant meetings and contribute toward the broader landscape information consolidation.
    • Provide administration, procurement support and assist with internal training when required.

    Receptionist: Fixed Term Contract

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Std 10)
    • National Diploma/ N Diploma in Office Management and Technology/ Office.
    • Administration/ Secretarial Studies/Tourism/Hotel Management/Hospitality.
    • 1- 2 years’ work experience in administrative work or office assistant.
    • 1 – 2 years’ experience as a receptionist/switchboard operator in a tourism or hospitality environment would be desirable.

    Gate Official X1

    Requirements

    • National Diploma or National N Diploma in Tourism Management NQF 6 is essential.
    • Certificate in Security Services will serve as an added advantage.
    • Two (2) Years Front Office experience is essential.

    Responsibilities

    • To resolve minor conflicts that may arise at the entrance gate.
    • To provide detailed information to guests about the park.

    • To guard entrance gate at the park.
    • To open the gate to allow employees, truckers, and authorized guests to enter the park.
    • To check the credentials before allowing anyone to enter the park.
    • To control traffic to and from the park’s buildings and grounds.
    • To direct guests and truckers to various parts of the park.
    • To perform maintenance duties such as mowing lawns and sweeping gate areas; etc.
    • To record arrival and departure of both employees and guests.
    • Perform general administration duties and handling of payments.
    • Issuing and receiving of accommodation unit keys to guest arriving or departing before and after reception operating hours.

    Handyman

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric)/NCV level 4 or equivalent.
    • Electrical, Aircon, Refrigerator, Plumbing, Carpentry or related Trade Certificate will be an added advantage.
    • Valid drivers license is essential and PDP will be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of three (3) years practical experience in a technical / maintenance field.
    • Communication skills both Written and Verbal (English).

    Responsibilities

    • Physically carrying out relevant maintenance semi-skilled tasks such as repairs, plumbing, welding, maintenance of air conditioners and refrigerators, electrical works, civil works in accordance with predetermined quality and productivity standards.
    • Routine maintenance of tourist buildings, terrain, staff accommodation, ablution blocks, administration and other infrastructures services e.g. electricity, boreholes pumps, sewer systems, buildings and equipment, as well as assisting with inspection of maintenance contractors’ work.
    • Daily recording of maintenance works performed and maintenance needs.
    • Transporting equipment, materials and staff and conducting vehicle inspections.
    • Assisting with the planning, scheduling and execution of technical tasks.
    • Ordering of stock and assisting with supply chain processes.
    • Basic housekeeping and other adhoc task identified by supervisor.
    • Assisting with general administrative tasks such as the recording of stock and inventory (equipment & tools), completion of time sheets, log sheets, leave forms and other month end reporting.

    Process Operator

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12 (Matric Certificate) with Mathematics and Science.
    • Valid Driver’s License (Code B or higher)
    • Minimum of 2 years practical experience in water purification or wastewater treatment operations.
    • National Certificate: Water and Wastewater Process Operations NQF Level 2 (or equivalent SETA-accredited qualification).
    • Proficiency in at least two official South African languages, including English (verbal and written communication).

    Additional Competencies:

    Responsibilities

    • Checking and cleaning of bio-filters to ensure effective operation.
    • Check, Inspect and Clean all sewer pumps and stations for sustainable operation and set standards.
    • Visual inspection of sewer pipelines daily and reporting of any leaks.
    • Preparation of chemical mixtures.
    • Sufficient chemical dosing: Check and ensure that Flocculent drums are kept full.
    • Clean sand filters and setting ponds.
    • Water purification by checking and testing water.
    • Visiting all reservoirs daily to check the water level.
    • Inspect main water pumps and pump lines daily to ensure sustainable water supply.
    • Record water meter readings and chemicals used.
    • Complete control sheets for water used during the day.
    • Swimming Pool maintenance e.g. sweeping and scrubbing pool floor as required.
    • Clean filter rooms, filters and pumps.
    • Standby duties when required.
    • Must be able to work independently and in a Team.

    Senior Manager: Intergrated Land Use Management

    Requirements

    • An MSc qualification in Environmental Management, Development Studies, Biodiversity Conservation, or a related field. (NQF 9 Essential).
    • A PhD in a related field (NQF level 10), (an added advantage).
    • Professional Registration with the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or EAPASA or SACNASP.
    • 5–10 years of experience in areas such as environmental management, land use planning, protected area stewardship, biodiversity economy, socio-economic development, and project management; essential skills include leadership, spatial and GIS planning, database management, stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and a strong understanding of SANParks policies, corporate governance, spatial planning instruments, data monitoring systems, and the legislative and policy frameworks governing biodiversity, conservation, and rural development.

    • Conflict management and problem-solving skills.

    • To provide strategic oversight for the KNP Regional Integration and Great Limpopo Transfrontier conservation Area programmes in the KNP Management Plan.
