    Field Technician

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • Maintaining the Site Maintenance on ASSIGNED sites as per the required Scope of Work as specified by the Customer. Drive planned preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance on all non-network infrastructure such as Air-Conditioning, Electrical plant and general infrastructure to give effect to the business maintenance strategy and client service standards. Providing technical support to Regional Managers, Portfolio Managers/Junior Portfolio Managers.

    MAIN OUTPUTS

    • Maintain the ASSIGNED sites according to Scope of Work and any instructions/standards provided.
    • Meet the daily/weekly/monthly Target.
    • PPM Technician must ensure Tools, Vehicles, Test Equipment, Laptops, Cellphones are looked after and checked for condition and ensure all of these are safe for use and maintained on a register.
    • PPM Technician must ensure he/she complies with and adhere to the Health and Safety requirements of
    • Bidvest FM and the client’s requirement as applicable on the site.
    • To ensure that all access procedures as well as work status updates are done in accordance with the agreed procedures and processes.
    • Restoring sites within SLA to standard.
    • Adhering to quality requirements as stipulated by scope of work.
    • Managing assistant daily to ensure optimal performance of the team, report any deviances to management.
    • Identifying where site enhancements is due and obtaining authorization to proceed.
    • Completing tasks onsite within allocated timeframes.
    • Adhering to instructions given by management.
    • Ensure that your e-mail address and company phone is always operational.
    • The PPM technician will always answer his phone when on duty and return calls as soon as possible when not on duty.
    • Report any unsafe work situations to management.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
    The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

    • National N4-Electrical Engineering Trade Theory
    • Electrician (26D), or Section 28, Electrician, Wireman’s License 
    • Refrigeration Trade Test (Advantage not needed).
    • Matric/Grade 12
    • Valid Code 10 EB Driver’s License (4*4 and advanced driving will be an advantage)
    • 3-5 Years PPM (Preventative Maintenance)/CPM (Corrective Maintenance)
    • Experience in the GSM and Core Network Telecommunications Environment.

    Project Sourcing Specialist

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • The Project Sourcing Specialist - Technical Services is responsible for executing the procurement process for technical services required by internal business units, ensuring a fair, transparent, and compliant supplier selection process. The specialist will manage the tendering process, perform commercial evaluations, and provide recommendations for contract awards, ultimately supporting the organization's operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

    This description highlights the key aspects of the role, including:

    • Executing the procurement process for technical services
    • Ensuring a fair, transparent, and compliant supplier selection process
    • Managing the tendering process
    • Performing commercial evaluations

    MAIN OUTPUTS

    Supplier Selection Process:

    • Receive requests from internal business units for technical services.
    • Manage the supplier selection process, including tendering and evaluation.

    Strategic Sourcing:

    • Conduct strategic sourcing initiatives for technical services required for OPEX and CAPEX projects.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers with a view to enhancing customer experience.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure their requirements are met.
    • Manage communication with suppliers throughout the tendering process.
    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

    Commercial Evaluations:

    • Perform commercial evaluations of tender submissions
    • Analyze pricing, terms, and conditions to ensure best value for the organization.

    Tendering and Site Meetings:

    • Send out tenders to potential suppliers.
    • Arrange and facilitate site meetings with suppliers as required.

    Project Award Recommendation:

    • Draft project award recommendations based on evaluation results.
    • Present recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

    Innovation:

    • Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide efficiencies for the organisation.

    Management support:

    • Perform procurement analyses and reporting to assist management to track, monitor and achieve departmental targets.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

    • Matric (Senior Certificate)
    • Undergraduate diploma / degree in Procurement / Commerce
    • Institute of Purchasing and Supply SA / CIPS is preferred
    • 5 years’ plus experience in Procurement & Project Management

Sourcing key information from Utility Service Providers and other key stakeholders and disseminating it to rest of the Business.

    MAIN OUTPUTS

    • Key stakeholder relations management.
    • Utility query and dispute resolutions.
    • Opening of new utility accounts.
    • Termination / closing of utility accounts.
    • Spearheading the process of payments & recovering of deposits and credits, where necessary.
    • Query resolution.
    • Assist with coordinating of meter readings.
    • Maintain progress tracker, supplier and client activity reports and other related documents.
    • Professional liaison with internal departments, clients & external bodies.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
    The Applicant must meet the following requirements:
