- Our team of experts is looking for a Warehouse Inventory Clerk to join the Absolute Pets Warehouse Team at our Cape Town Warehouse in Marconi Beam.
Responsibilities and Primary Functions:
- Assist inventory controller through accurate and efficient execution of daily stock counts and investigations and submit a detailed report to management
- Execute weekly counts accurately and investigate variances and submit a detailed report to management
- Ensure that damages are processed and taken out of the system as required
- Minimize stock losses by packing and preparing the damages aisle and ensure that stock is moving out of the warehouse to the intended destination – Work with stock controller
- Investigate no stock picks and inform controller of discrepancies that need to be adjusted
- Investigate stock with negative balances or items requiring overrides and inform stock controller of discrepancies that need to be adjusted
- Investigate stock in the sin bin and inform controller of discrepancies that need to be adjusted
- Ensure that replenishment is happening efficiently to avoid no stock picks by investigating no stock picks
- Execute expiry checks as agreed with management and identify items that are short dated that need to be pushed to stores
- Ensure reporting deadlines are met daily – Daily department handovers and regular updates as agreed with the inventory controller
- Conduct root cause analysis on variances – Provide clear and concise reports to validate variances
- Investigate stock variances flagged for validation in WMS
- Ensure receiving locations are cleared daily
- Ensure a bin accuracy of 95%
Responsibilities and Secondary Functions:
- Spot checks on inbound stock to identify any discrepancies

- The E-commerce Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the picking and packing of online order and assisting with the following up with all online customer queries. They will be responsible for all orders processed through our shop on demand functionality, GoFetch. Roles & Responsibilities
- Will manage all incoming IBT’s from stores – Driver debrief ensuring all relevant documents are correct and all stock returned is assigned to a person with a reason
- Must monitor all outgoing IBT’s to stores and alert management when there are IBT’s older than the agreed ageing
- Ensure all IBT’s are kept current. (None older than 48 hours)
- Immediately investigate any short delivery/over delivery – This must be done as the drivers report on the group daily
- Utilize Fleetcam to check for any delivery inconsistencies and for IBT discrepancy investigations
- Flag issues relating to system, store non-compliance and warehouse issues that contribute to the increase in IBTs
- Record damages coming from trucks
- Prepare reports for management
