    Striker | Durban CBD & Surrounds

    • Negotiating the elements of Red Bull Perfect Store within a set of Retail and Impulse accounts in a given geographical area – this includes availability, visibility, communication and additional placements of Red Bull to enable maximum sales of all Red Bull products.

    TERRITORY COVERAGE

    • Effective coverage of all agreed outlets at optimum frequencies in a cost effective manner
    • Administration and development of designated area
    • Completion of all calls allocated to individual territories

    PERFECT STORE

    • Maintenance and growth of Perfect Stores databases which focus on availability and distribution, pricing, visibility, placements and messaging

    STOCK MANAGEMENT

    • Managing orders to ensure Red Bull's stock keeping units (SKUs) are in stock and on display at all times
    • Ensuring that stock levels necessary to secure continuous availability of Red Bull products to the consumer in all covered outlets are maintained at all times

    POS MANAGEMENT

    • Securing (and where possible, improving) the agreed in-store presence of the Red Bull brand
    • Placement of POS – ensuring POS is correctly sited and up to date in all outlets
    • Promotional Compliance – ensuring agreed promotions are in place and running from the first day

    ADMINISTRATION AND REPORTING

    • Completing all necessary administrative tasks accurately and on time
    • Implementation of Head Office agreements and ensuring their execution based on merchandising standards

    EXPERIENCE

    • Proven sales track record
    • FMCG experience (branded or retail experience)
    • Valid drivers license

    ACCOUNTING & TAXES

    • Ensures full compliance with all applicable local laws and internal group policies, including statutory accounting standards, tax law, and civil law.
    • Maintains accurate, transparent, and complete accounting records, ensuring financial statements faithfully represent the company’s financial position, performance, and cash flows.
    • Submits precise and timely financial information to all stakeholders.
    • Efficiently manages the year-end audit process to achieve clean audit outcomes and avoid any “Emphasis of Matter” or “Qualified Opinion.”
    • Continuously improves efficiency and quality by streamlining processes and leveraging available tools and collaborates on effective tax management to anticipate and address legislative changes and tax risks cost-effectively.

    CASH MANAGEMENT & TREASURY

    • Adheres to all HQ Treasury guidelines and aligns all financing, leasing, and bank decisions with the central Treasury department.
    • Implements robust credit risk management by regularly assessing customer creditworthiness, setting appropriate credit limits and security requirements, and collaborating with sales for effective collection processes to avoid bad debts.
    • Establishes efficient cash management practices by minimising working capital needs and proactively transferring surplus funds to the parent company.
    • Delivers accurate and timely liquidity forecasts to HQ, supporting effective treasury operations.
    • Conducts return on investment calculations for proposed investments according to company guidelines and manages all local insurance matters, including vehicles and claims, in line with established procedures.

    LEGAL AND INTERNAL CONTROLS

    • Ensures compliance with all relevant headquarters guidelines and standards.
    • Develops local policies to establish behavioural principles, provide clear written guidelines, and ensure fair treatment throughout the organisation.
    • Implements and regularly reviews an effective Internal Control System to minimise risks of errors, misconduct, or fraud, through process design that upholds the four-eyes principle, adequate segregation of duties, and heightened fraud awareness.
    • Fosters a culture of honesty, trust, and loyalty by leading by example and encouraging confidential reporting of any misconduct.
    • Ensures proper commitment policies and approval levels as well as that contracts are in place for all key service partners across all areas of the business.

    FP&A (FINANCIAL CONTROLLING)

    • Strictly adheres to Group Controlling guidelines and aligns system setup with organizational responsibilities.
    • Delivers timely and transparent financial reports and insights to all budget holders through regular distribution, system access, and meetings.
    • Improves Controlling efficiency by reducing report generation time and focusing on analysis, commentary, and sharing insights.
    • Implements a comprehensive bottom-up planning process, with a local planning calendar that allows adequate time for review and feedback, ensuring realistic and balanced forecasts.
    • Supports and challenges budget holders during planning, measures cost/benefit ratios, and maintains a monthly reporting calendar to monitor deviations and agree on corrective actions.

    PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

    • Builds and maintains a highly engaged and motivated team by ensuring clear roles and responsibilities. Builds future benches.
    • Regularly updates job descriptions and verifies that all roles are filled by suitably qualified individuals.

    EXPERIENCE

    • University degree in Business Administration/Finance/CA
    • Minimum 15 years of relevant Finance experience in the FMCG industry and a considerable exposure to Commercial Finance. University degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance.
    • Accounting, Audit or Tax qualification is preferred.
    • Areas of required expertise: Controlling & Financial Management; Accounting (HGB, IFRS); Taxes (incl. International and TP); Commercial & Business Partnership; Treasury; Digitalization; IT Process Management; General Legal; Profitability Management
    • Strong accounting (Local Accounting Standards & IFRS) and taxation knowledge. Proven track record in securing compliance.

    Distribution Partner Manager | Non Liquor - Free State & Northern Cape

    • To ensure Red Bull’s sales growth and perfect store execution is achieved in the Independent Rural and Urban Trade. Goal is to increase and deepen Red Bulls footprint in this channel. Main focus is to develop a profound and proven concept for Red Bull to become the leader in Energy within Independent Rural and Urban market space. Once developed, the role is to manage its execution daily and turning strategy into action.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Analyze Data

    • Analyze geographic areas to understand outlet and sales opportunity within identified areas through trade visits
    • Use depletion data to identify opportunities in market and drive sales team to close the gaps

    Business Planning

    • Develop annual Regional Business Plan in close coordination with Head of Direct Distribution for winning in the Independent trade.
    • Target to increase and deepen Red Bulls footprint in Independent Urban & Rural channels.
    • Co-Develop Business Plans by DP to deliver on all relevant RBZA strategic initiatives including; Volume, Horizontal & Vertical Distribution, Execution and Information exchange (Depletion Data). Ensure the plan is aligned to overall RBZA plan.
    • Manage and secure sufficient POS stock and handling as well as ROI calculations on any initiatives implemented into trade.

    Sales and 3rd party Distribution Management

    • Define routines and call cycles for managing the operations in a professional / sustainable way, in line with routines matrix set out by HOD: Direct.
    • Do monthly business reviews with DP in line with business plan & Commercial Annex.
    • Define and track the DP KPIs (broken down from overall sales targets):
    • Volume Sales, Distribution Numeric & Weighted and Price Compliance, Perfect Store Execution, Promotional Execution.

    Support DP in achieving set targets through:

    • Training the DP sales force on Red Bull perfect store standards and execution of those
    • Leading DP sales force by personal example and hand-on approach
    • Quantification of opportunity identified in data analyzing to conceptually sell new concepts to partners.
    • Undertake systematic and regular trade visits to identify gaps and opportunities or to prove any findings from data supplied by Trade Marketing. The latter being a critical part of the role.
    • Prepare and lead monthly reviews with the DP regional team
    • Generate best practices and multiply throughout covered channels.
    • Fuel DP sales force passion for Red Bull through recognition and reward programs.

    Trade Visits

    • Undertake systematic and regular trade visits to identify gaps and opportunities or to prove any findings from data supplied by Trade Marketing. The latter being a critical part of the role.
    • Conceptual selling of the quantified opportunity in a mature and professional manner to ensure buy-in (convinced) and motivated Partners
    • Track execution via our Partners field force

    Budget Management

    • Manage the budget that is allocated to commercial initiatives, sales force initiatives, and below-the-line marketing initiatives linked to the DP and Red Bull Partnership.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Valid driving license
    • Proven Track Record of 3rd party management in FMCG sector
    • >5 years sales experience in FMCG sector.
    • Sales Team Leadership Experience
    • Successful track record in managing sales force (distribution partner preferred) within all Trade channels
    • Business Experience in Regional Accounts - Independent trade
    • Key Account experience (an Advantage)
    • Leadership, Motivation and Team Skills.
    • Clear understanding of market, sales & distribution within South Africa
    • Clear understanding of market structure and common practice / ways of how business is done
    • Excellent negotiator and influencer (strong interpersonal skill)

    • 80% of time in field and 20% of time spent on analysing, planning, building case studies and conceptual selling decks and reporting.
