PURPOSE:
- Represents Quality in the project team, driving for customer satisfaction through the project’s Safety, Quality assurance by coordinating all quality and safety activities starting at tender stage and throughout the project until contract closure (SQCDP)
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- CUSTOMER QUALITY
- Be the independent voice of the customer in the project organization.
- Act as interface with the Customer quality and safety teams
- Attends to CSS interview (Customer Satisfaction Surveys) with Customer Director and PM , supports & monitors action plan
- PROJECT QUALITY
- Establish, document, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) and ensure its proper application during contract execution in accordance with contract requirements, and Alstom processes.
- Contribute with structured techniques (e.g., FMEA) to the criticality assessment of Alstom’s solutions (system and sub-systems) and services to ensure the right level of safety and quality assurance as well as inspection activities for all identified CTQ (Critical to Quality).
- Guide project teams in understanding Quality contributions to the project.
- Be the interface in the Project Team for all Project Quality aspects (Engineering (EQ), Industrial (IQ) and Supplier (SQ))
- Manage, coordinate, and synchronize the community of all quality métiers supporting the project execution (system and sub-systems, PUs)
- Ensure project core team awareness of project quality plan and its deliverables, regularly reporting on progress and support achieving the required level on quality competencies.
- Support project audits, reviews and approval of supplier quality systems and audits compliance (upon customer request)
- PROJECT EXECUTION CONTROLS
- Support the project team and the PM to prepare DFQ gate reviews & follow up related action plans.
- Report quality and safety alerts and manage Non-conformities and Safety issues.
- Ensure quality of the technical modifications (Change Requests CR) made during the project ensuring compliance to the design change process and quality of implementation of the technical modifications and analyze financial implications (Cost of Non-Quality CoNQ)
- Ensure that safety assessment is correctly implemented (i.e.: safety review) and prepare safety authorization.
- Control project processes and deliverables compliance through inspection and audits - to authorize presentation/ delivery to customer.
- Ensure that Return of Experience (REX) of all functions has been considered in the risks & opportunities and closely monitor to prevent occurrence.
- Owning the Supplier Part List (SPL), and ensure the list is properly created for the full scope of the project across all contributing sites.
- Ensure with SQ Team and/or Procurement a good synchronization and follow-up of GO Production and FAI (First Article Inspection) activities, relative to the SPL, with special attention in case of supplier change/localization initiatives.
- Collaborate with IQ, Industrial, SQ, EQ and Engineering to ensure a customer inspection acceptance criteria booklet is established and agreed with the customer.
- Support customer inspections at Alstom, supplier, and customer sites (upon request)
- Ensure the train/ product history book is prepared, updated, and handed over to the customer for each train/ product.
- Support the Project Manager / Director (PM/PD) & Customer Director (CD) with the customer satisfaction survey, its analysis and associated action plan.
- Ensure and improve the tender quality if assigned to support tender phase.
- In the case of Transfer of Technology (ToT), act as a sparring partner to the PrTTM and, organize and prepare all quality activities/documentation needed in the frame of the transfer.
- MEASURE AND IMPROVE PROJECT QUALITY PERFORMANCE.
- Facilitate problem solving during project execution phase to ensure timely management and reduce the costs of non-quality (8D, QRQC, REX)
- Ensure that the relevant stakeholders are included in Customer issues solving process (if needed).

- Provide support for periodic progress reporting through quality indicators and identify improvement opportunities.
- Depending on local organization, PrQSM could also oversee Industrial Quality, QMS and SQ activities.

Job Purpose
- The purpose of the job is the execution of material handling and processing activities including related documentation and safe storage Receiving and delivery of goods to the appropriate storage location/plant and general housekeeping of all logistics operational areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the respect of the Control Plan and Quality/Supply Chain processes.
- Create Non-Conformity Report in the GSI system and ensure the curative actions are defined.
- Analyze and find the root cause of repetitive non compliancy / reworks.
- Update the list of defects still open – validate and close the reworks done.
- Supply all the necessary information for NC analysis
- Ensure quality is built into the processes.
- Inspect suspect products before release for delivery.
- Properly characterize non-conformities.
- Attend the daily meeting in the workshop.
- With manufacturing, ensure speedy line containment.
- Suggest actions to improve the quality of the final product seen by the customer, especially the repetitive defects.
- Support manufacturing and industrial teams to apply improvement actions.
- Train other people (NCR colleagues / Warehouse) to the quality métier.
- Respect EHS rules and any work-related processes.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Supply Chain /Logistics, Industrial Engineering
- IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Data analyst ( Power BI)
- English fluency.
- SAP experience
- Technical knowledge with 2 to 5 years’ experiences preferably in the railway industry, in quality and supply chain, ideally in an international organization.
- Experience in Supply Chain and Quality
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
- General knowledge of train materials

THE PURPOSE OF THE PRODUCT INTRODUCTION ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN ROLE IS TO:
- Troubleshooting of Alstom products at customer site in order to ensure their availability. Provide technical expertise to subcontractors, warranty support team, project team members and less experienced personnel.
THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE:
Effective performance of Troubleshooting, repairs, Field modifications and testing activities
- Gather Industrial requirements Engineering has to comply with, during product specification and design. Explain them to Engineering.
- Carry out Troubleshooting during PI period as well as Pre-warranty & Commissioning (and Validation & Certification if applicable), including investigation and repair
- Carry out Fleet check activities through TCMS data analysis and physical inspections
- Reports & register any deviation (failure/event) in Failure Management data base including configuration data
- Support operation helpdesk
- Execute test & troubleshooting procedures to evaluate system performance and performs failure analysis on parts to be returned for repair
- Adhere to all Fleet Maintenance and Product Introduction processes, procedures and relevant SOP’s during the performance of work activity and presence on work sites.
- Support / execute Implementation of Field Modifications and repairs as needed
- Support specific technical investigations by Engineering or internal/external Suppliers to improve reliability, availability and general performance of the 23E locomotive fleet
- Identify and recommends preventative and corrective actions
- Advises PI management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements
- Ensure good information flow about interventions & operations within Troubleshooting team to support shift transition, if needed
- Lead Troubleshooter team, if needed
- Instructs and directs contractors in facilitating repairs if needed
- Conducts peer reviews of PI activities and provide technical leadership if requested
- Perform fleet check to ensure quality when required
- Contribute to Return of Experience
Compliance and adherence to Environment, Health, Safety and Quality rules, procedures and policies at all times.
- Complete industrial documentation: industrial data sheets, IMFU (Industrial Maturity Follow-Up)
- Ensure that all quality standards are always met
- Follow depot/site procedures and instructions, both from the Company and from the customer

- Implement 8D Practices and PPS Practices as and when required
- Ensure Zero outstanding NCR’s
- Locomotive Configuration – Ensure serialized numbers are logged in MAXIMO / GSI
- I-Forms – Attend to I-Forms; Raise product related Issues; Report Incidents and Complete Actions
- Comply with all safety related training and ensure up to date certifications as required i.e. working at heights
- Report any and all safety concerns as per Company procedure
- Collaborate with EHS and Quality teams to ensure we put safety first and maintain first class quality
Accurate and up to date Reporting and Data management
- Initiate work through Maximo, update, and close work orders on Maximo /GSI
- Ensure that test documentation are filled out and placed in data file
- Ensure that accurate reporting of work performed are done on MAXIMO / GSI.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting after testing activities
- Ensure that routine testing and type testing documents are completed
- Ensure comprehensive and accurate failure reporting are done
- Ensure proper record keeping
- Support the Commissioning Engineer with reporting where required

THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
- B.Tech Engineer (Electrical / Electromechanical)
- Minimum 10 years working experience (at this level) in a electrical/electronic/pneumatic testing environment
- Environment, Health and Safety knowledge/exposure
- Hands on Test & Commissioning, fault finding & repair experience
- Working experience in Mechanical and Electrical Fault-finding
- Experience in analytical fault reporting and report writing
- Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
- Experience in Industrial activities related to Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation
- Railway industry knowledge will be an advantage

Job Purpose
- Conducts spot welding robot programming and PLC programming on various systems to ensure optimal production output.
- Conduct preventative maintenance in line with established preventative maintenance plan
Key Responsibilities
- Make adjustments on existing robot weld programs
- Review and improve robotic process and sequence to improve cycle times
- Provide daily production support for robotic weld cells
- Perform robot manual welding when required
- Conducts troubleshooting and repairs on PLC controlled systems and programs
- Check completed parts to ensure compliance with required weld quality acceptance criteria
- Modify existing robot programs to improve robot reliability, maintainability, or performance
- Conduct root cause analysis for all robot downtimes
- Work with equipment OEM to improve robotic cells and address operational issues
- Identify and implement opportunities for predictive maintenance on installed robots
- Maintain robot welding guns by completing scheduled planned maintenance
- Continuous improvement of robotic stations efficiencies
- Establish preventative maintenance routines for robots
- Regular execution of planned and proactive maintenance on equipment to deter failures
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Trade Tested Electrician or Millwright
- N. Diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics would be advantageous.
- Yaskawa Motorman training is essential
- Minimum 5 years’ experience on robotic operation, programming, trouble shooting and maintenance
- Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Yaskawa Motorman robots
- Minimum 5 years’ experience programming Yaskawa controllers
- Minimum 5 year working experience on Yaskawa DX200 controllers
- Knowledge of IGM robots, K6 UI and Micro step will be advantageous
- General understanding of welding timers and guns is desirable.
- Familiarity with basics of global Industrial Robot standards and specifications
