THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE IS :
- To conduct rigging practices in accordance with legislative safety standards and job requirements. This includes the inspection, selection and use of slings and lifting tackle to safely lift, move Car Body Shells, load CBS Jigs and stack buffer.
- Shunting – Responsible for the safe movement of carbodies with the use of shunting machinery.
- Move material delivered to site, work in progress on the production line and material to be delivered to production
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develop lifting work instructions, checklist, tools and equipment specifications and standards.
- Identify hazards and risks and implement adequate control measures to mitigate identified risks
- Perform rigging tasks according to ALSTOM specific standard operating procedures
- Secure work area
- Assess ground conditions for before movement.
- Be able to select PPE and other safety equipment for lifting activities.
- Select and use tools, equipment and materials required for lifting activities.
- Inspect and evaluate lifting gear, ensure that they have current tag.
- Calculate/determine the load weight and ensure that the right weight is lifted with the right equipment.
- Identify and inspect slinging equipment as per log book inspection requirements
- Participate in developing lifting work instructions and lifting drawings
- Plan and prepare for slinging by barricading area of operation, organising and assembling resources for the task, evaluating environmental conditions and preparing work area.
- Identify and mitigate hazards and risks for each different lifting activity
- Sling a regular load from 5 ton and above with or without lifting lugs
- Perform all preparatory activities prior to slinging
- Organise and assemble resources for the various different lifting tasks
- Identify and inspect rigging equipment as per log book inspection requirements
- Identify and select lifting equipment in accordance with load requirements
- Ensure that the safe working load (SWL) of selected lifting equipment is adequate for the loads used.
- Check and report equipment defects include wear, corrosion, stretched links, deterioration of splices, cracks, nicks and broken strands.
- Sling regular load ensure that sling attachments are below center of gravity of load
- Plan lifting and shunting operations and align with EPU managers on priorities. Update “lifting and shunting operation dashboard”

THE PURPOSE OF THE NON-CONFORMITY CELL LOGISTIC TECHNICIAN ROLE IS TO:
- Monitor the process of non-conformities on purchased parts from ERP containment to purchase order placement and through all the reverse logistics flow.
THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITY WILL BE:
- Process the requests for non-conformities replacement parts issued by the NCR Cell analysts and convert them into transfer orders to be served by the warehouse within two hours.
- Reduce the backlog of NCR to be sent to the suppliers to the minimum
- Perform the stock movements (restrictions, transfer, scrap)
- Place and monitor NCR orders for new parts, warranty, repairs in ERP (GSI), follow up quotations and lead times
- Ensure lead times are respected for repair orders
- Manage the reverse logistics back to the supplier with the outbound shipment team
- Prioritize urgencies according to production lines needs and challenge material planners when a NC generates a missing part
- Ensure accuracy of NCR purchase orders to reduce the risk of good reception discrepancies
- Animate daily and weekly meetings with the involved stakeholders
- Ensure product integrity for transfer from production line to restricted area, during restricted area storage and until shipment to the supplier
- Reports state of blocked stock to Material Management
EHS :

- In this frame, the Site Security Manager receives delegation from the site MD to implement and oversees Alstom security policies and procedures at site level.
