    Senior Evaluation Technician

    Job Description:
    Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct investigations to determine cause of non-compliance or sub-optimum performance.
    • Day to day oversight of outsourced Geology analytical function including planning of submissions to outsource laboratories in accordance with group analytical requirements, transport, sample reconciliation, tracking and invoicing.  To ensure auditable, accurate and efficient service delivery.
    • Compilation and reporting of Geology QA/QC statements and analysis of 5% check assays.

    Job Description:

    • As Blasting Assistant,you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Inspect the blasting area and signal workers to clear the area to prevent injuries and damage to assets and ensure that operations occur safely within prescribed processes, procedures, and standards.

    Equipment Maintenance:

    • Conduct the necessary repairs and maintenance of automotive and drilling equipment to ensure availability.
    • Observed and monitored equipment operations during and after extraction to identify problems and initiate the necessary action to prevent equipment damage.
    • Operate auxiliary equipment to assist when required.

    Materials Transportation:

    • Arrange and prepare the materials required for blasting operations and drive, manoeuvre and navigate moving / mechanised equipment and vehicles to transport materials and parts to excavation sites.
    • Unload materials, devices and machine parts into sound holes or equipment using hand tools to assist in the necessary blasting preparations.

    Assistance:

    • Assist the supervisor and co-workers according to their level/area of competence and follow company policies when instructed or during the responsible person's absence to ensure the achievement of functional objectives.
    • This role is in the Mining (MIN) at a Band P6 level reporting to the Shift Supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    Job Description:
    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Plan activities in accordance with production schedules and allocation of resources as required.
    • Assist in ensuring that TMM auto electrical equipment and installations meet the required designs, installation, and maintenance standards.

    • Ensure that the maintenance and overhaul of TMM auto electrical equipment installed and/or operated or intended to be installed and/or operated is in accordance with relevant standards.
    • Align with planned maintenance, including the maintenance of relevant records for all auto electrical equipment and installations in the area of responsibility.
    • Adherence to policies and procedures.
    • Ensure effective communication to relevant stakeholders to minimize production delays.
    • Upholding of safety, health and environmental standards to achieve ZERO HARM.
    • Training and development of subordinates.
    • This role is in the VUP Engineering department at a CL level reporting to the Senior Engineering Foreman

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 / N3 / Equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification with pure Mathematics and Physical Science
    • Relevant Trade Certificate Auto Electrician / Electrician

    Experience Required:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician or 5 years combined experience as an Auto electrician and Electrician in an Underground Mining Environment.
    • TMM Mining equipment experience.
    • Sound knowledge in the maintenance, repairs and fault finding of the following equipment: Drill Rigs (DD320, DD321, DD321, DD420, DD421 & DD422i), Long Hole Rigs (DL421, DL422i, DL432i & Rhino Machine), Cable Bolters (DS421, DS422i & DS412i), Roof Bolters (DS411), Maclean Bolter (946), LHD (LH410, LH517i & LH621i), Dump Trucks (TH430), TH540 & TH551i), Shotcrete (Normet), Manitou and Agicars etc.
    • Sound knowledge and experience on the maintenance and repairs of PDS, PDI, Camera’s, lighting circuits of diesel machines & real time systems.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with regards to auto-electrical problems in UG TMM mining and ancillary equipment.
    • Planning and control of maintenance schedules as per SAP PM.
