    Data Science and Analytics Manager

    • MTS's client is seeking a Data Science and Analytics Manager for a client in the Healthcare industry to lead the clients' data team in driving insights and decision-making through advanced analytics and machine learning techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python or R, along with expertise in analytics/ML libraries, data processing, and cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing data projects, implementing machine learning models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize data-driven strategies.

    Inherent Requirements

    • At least 10 years of hands-on involvement in data science projects, including managing large-scale initiatives and leading multidisciplinary teams.
    • Degree (Honours, Masters or PHD) in quantitative fields such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and/or combination of these.
    • Proven expertise in data science technologies such as Python, PowerBI, Microsoft Azure, Spark, big data ecosystems, machine learning frameworks, and cloud infrastructure.
    • Deep knowledge of Python or R and common analytics/ML libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, SciPy), as well as a proven track record using Jupyter notebooks. Strong SQL skills and experience with large, complex datasets are essential.
    • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical machine learning techniques to predictive modeling, delivering measurable value.
    • A history of successfully bringing data science solutions into high-scale production environments, ensuring long-term reliability and business impact.

    Senior Network Engineer (ISP Core)

    • eNetworks a division of Datacentrix is looking for a Senior Network Engineer with 5+ years experience in ISP industry to be based at the Cape Town offices. The candidate will be required to monitor, maintain, secure and develop local and national core network as well as access/client networks. Mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize the network for our customers. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. The Senior Network Engineer goal will be to establish networks that cater for high uptime customer needs.

    Qualifications:

    • Matric qualification
    • Tertiary qualification (Computer Science or IT related)
    • Certifications CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA
    • Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle

    Experience:

    • Must have professional OME certification, working knowledge and experience of 5+ years
    • Solid background in network administration and architecture
    • In-depth understanding of TCPIP and the network stack: IPv6, IPv4, routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF), Q-in-Q
    • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (NMS)
    • Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS, Mikrotik)
    • Must be able to communicate at a business level with IT Directors, IT staff and general users from our client base
    • Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer
    • Have working practical knowledge of Data Centre Environments
    • Have ISP industry working experience for 5+ years
    • Be able to communicate and understand client requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Proactively monitor network performance and integrity
    • Improve network performance, capacity and scalability
    • Final escalation tier for network engineers
    • Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
    • Design and deploy functional networks through Pre and After Sales Support
    • Product research and development
    • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
    • Maintain complete technical documentation
    • Mentor team members on technical issues
    • Liaise with various 3rd parties to ensure call resolution
    • Liaise with project management and support teams
    • Will be part of an after-hours standby rotation cycle
