    VP of Finance

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a talented finance leader to oversee the daily financial and accounting operations for our international social enterprise as well as support the company’s strategic priorities by leading financial planning, forecasting, and reporting. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of finance, accounting, cost, taxation, and cash flow management. The VP of Finance will lead the planning, budgeting, monthly financing closings, and manage the day-to-day financial leadership of the business. This includes close collaboration and consultation with senior leadership across the company, while providing financial expertise to inform strategy and business decisions. We are looking for someone who demonstrates excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to coordinate competing priorities with finesse, professionalism, and enthusiasm. The ideal candidate is comfortable reporting to stakeholders in a clear, consultative, and professional manner. We seek continuous improvement and growth, and are looking for someone energized by that prospect. This role is part of the management team, the VP of Finance is a partner in company strategic decisions along with the CEO, COO, CTO, and Managing Director.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Reporting and compliance:

    • Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports
    • Maximize tax efficiency across Vera’s five operating countries through transfer pricing, relevant tax credits and government programs, effective entity management
    • Support internal and external audits
    • Ensure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial reporting and disclosure activities

    Forecasting:

    • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date
    • Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make or oversee any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets
    • Study long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share

    Liquidity:

    • Oversee investment of funds and works with investors and bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion
    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable
    • Manage and maximize cash flow

    Strategy:

    • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the growth and sustainability of the organization
    • Provide financial guidance and insights to the management team to support decision-making across departments
    • Analyze operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination
    • Manage return on investment across Vera’s initiatives
    • Identify opportunities for expansion into new product areas or business lines
    • Support CEO with investor relations
    • Research and support continued evolution of Vera’s compensation model
    • Work closely with Vera’s Board, C Suite, and Leadership Team to drive Vera to success

    Management:

    • Oversee Finance and Accounting teams (5 people) across five operating countries
    • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and reporting requirements
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure best practices, audit compliance, and efficient operations
    • Manage relationships with external partners, including auditors, banks, and other financial service providers
    • Oversee management of external finance resources, including local accountants

    Qualifications and Experience

    Essential

    • A degree in Finance or Accounting
    • 10+ years experience in a finance management, senior finance position, or similar role
    • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP reporting standards
    • Proven ability to combine a strategic business perspective with strong project management and analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Inclusive, collaborative approach to work
    • Ability to step back, analyze the overall business impact, and effectively synthesize and rationalize the message for senior leadership and other stakeholders
    • Confidence, business maturity, and presence to work independently and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, including effectively interacting with senior management

    • Project management experience establishing timelines and leading all aspects of the project lifecycle (e.g. for budgeting process)

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to “tell the story” and communicate complex financial information to inform executive decision making

    Senior Salesforce Consultant

    Position Overview

    As a Senior Salesforce Consultant, you’ll work with a diverse global team dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that transform the ability of social sector organizations to collect, manage, and use their data.

    You’ll be a key member of our project teams, working with other consultants to design, configure and support the rollout of Salesforce systems for our clients working in the social sector. Consultants are involved throughout the entirety of a project’s life cycle — discovery and design, platform configuration (including mobile data collection tool configuration), and training/rollout. Consultants may travel to the field on short- or medium-term assignments for discovery and design workshops or conduct trainings on newly-implemented systems.

    • Deliver training sessions and seminars with clients
    • Document processes, create system documentation and user guides

    Qualifications and Experience

    Essential:

    • 6+ years professional experience, especially in  technology, the social sector or consulting
    • Experience with Salesforce or other cloud relational database systems; preferably configuration experience
    • 2 or more Salesforce certifications
    • Salesforce Platform App Builder and/or Administrator Certifications
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Previous people management experience
    • Consensus builder who is fantastic at fostering relationships, generating buy-in from multiple stakeholders for proposed solutions, and building trust
    • Curiosity and problem-solving skills
    • Strong aptitude for using technology and data

    Salesforce Solutions Architect

    Position Overview

    We are looking for a dedicated Salesforce Solutions Architect who is capable of navigating complex client requirements to design world class systems with precision, enthusiasm, and dedication to quality. The Solutions Architect (SA) is responsible for the end-to-end design and delivery of projects. This includes leading discovery and design workshops with clients, synthesizing client requirements into solutions, implementing complex solutions on the Salesforce Platform, providing technical expertise during sales, and supporting project managers to successfully deliver high-quality projects on time and budget. The SA should be energized by opportunities to connect directly with our clients, and have a track record of implementing high-stakes projects across a portfolio of challenging projects.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Driving requirements gathering sessions and mapping client business processes. The SA will lead discovery workshops with clients to ensure that a complete picture of the client needs are uncovered so that the resulting implementation meets all of the needs of a client.
    • Design solutions on the Salesforce Lightning Platform that meets all of a clients requirements in a manner that is appropriate for a client’s capacity and budget.
    • Developing Salesforce implementation roadmap for clients.
    • Lead project implementation teams to ensure high quality builds.
    • Drive quality across all of Vera’s technical implementations.

    Marketing Associate

    Position Overview

    As the Marketing Associate, you will support the Marketing team with coordinating, researching, writing, and editing content for a variety of stakeholders and mediums. You will own Vera’s presentation Digital Asset Management and be involved in Go-To-Market activities. You will be responsible for developing and executing a podcast strategy to increase brand awareness and customer engagement. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials.

    This role will allow you to gain experience in the marketing team of a growing social enterprise, working closely with staff across the company to enable it to scale sustainably. You will benefit from ongoing learning opportunities, professional development, and mentorship.

    We’re looking for someone who demonstrates excellent attention to detail, communication, time management skills, problem-solving capabilities, and eagerness to learn.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Own Vera’s presentation Digital Asset Management (DAM), maintain master templates, case studies, and testimonials
    • Create a DAM structure (in Google Drive), catalog all key assets, and maintain an edit log ensuring all change requests are captured and executed in a timely manner, including quarterly brand updates across all key presentations
    • Create new presentations as requested by Marketing and Sales, for targeted outreach in line with Vera’s Go-To-Market strategy
    • Support all departments with assistance in creating internal and external facing presentations, ensuring all brand guidelines and messaging are adhered to
    • Coordinate, research, write, and edit content for a variety of stakeholders and mediums (longform and shortform content, i.e. articles, ebooks, landing pages, case studies, and social media posts)
    • Develop a podcast strategy with the aim of increasing brand awareness and customer engagement, analysing audience and personas of key markets and reaching out to suitable influencers/interviewees
    • Build and execute a podcast series, including writing, editing, producing, hosting, and publishing using suitable software, implementing best practices
    • Collaborate with the website and social media teams to ensure regular publishing and promotion of podcast episodes
    • Define success metrics, monitor progress, create monthly reports and present status of DAM, presentations, content and podcast during regular cadence calls within the marketing team
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials

    Qualifications and Experience

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a Related Field
    • 1-3 years professional experience in a role involving Go-To-Market activities
    • A high degree of ability in creating and editing presentations in Google Slides/Microsoft Powerpoint
    • Demonstrated strong content writing capabilities across longform and shortform content
    • Excellent computer skills with experience in managing digital assets on Google Drive

    Business Development Manager

    Position Overview

    The Business Development Manager (BDM) will join the business development team to foster good relationships with strategic clients and proactively drive sales, effectively. The BDM will become an expert in Vera’s products and services, understand the market, and be able to work across functions and geographies to ensure successful business growth with new and existing customers. As a team player, the BDM will apply solution and relationship-selling skills to help grow Vera’s product and consulting business.     Primary Responsibilities

    Drive new business by:

    • Managing the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics for both Vera products and services
    • Working and collaborating with a virtual internal team to help close sales opportunities – including Consulting, Service Delivery, Architecture, Product, Executives, Partners, Solution Engineers, Marketing, etc.
    • Leveraging relationship-building skills to build meaningful business relationships with a variety of C-level stakeholders across multiple business areas as well as other key influencers in the sales process
    • Creating client demos/presentations and quotes/proposals
    • Engaging prospects in product demos, in-person meetings, and calls
    • Educating and networking with key prospects and customer contacts
    • Utilizing solution-selling techniques to guide the sales process to close effectively
    • Developing and executing lead generation strategies to attract new clients and opportunities

    Drive successful and sustainable account growth by:

    Qualifications and Experience

    Essential

    • 5+ years of professional experience, ideally in B2B SaaS sales and/or nonprofit resource mobilization 
    • 2+ years of experience positioning and selling and/or implementing complex technology and/or software solutions in a SaaS company 
    • BA/BS or other undergraduate degree 
    • A natural relationship builder who can work effectively across different subject areas, time zones, and cultures and thrives within a matrix organization
    • Proven ability to cultivate a consistent pipeline and meet quarterly quotas by managing sales opportunities that vary from basic projects to complex RFP responses 
    • Knowledge and experience with enterprise accounts
    • Passion for software-as-a-service / platform-as-a-service 
    • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
