    Section Manager Production Processing

    Job Description:

    • This role is responsible for ensuring that the plant process operates effectively to produce the quality and quantity of metals planned, with a time frame of 1-2 years accountability. Coordinates labour, equipment and services as required for the role. The role has the legal accountability with a 2.6.1 appointment in terms of the MHSA in smaller plants.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist Concentrator Manager develop annual budget for plant sections
    • Production targets focused on controllable variables not inputs
    • Ensure that plant section operates in a sustainable manner
    • Implementation of applicable Safety, Regulations, The Act, Codes of practice and standards
    • Review safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports – plan of action
    • Develop and maintain site specific standards, codes of practices, systems and procedures in accordance with guidelines and the Act.
    • Identify key performance shortfalls and gaps, and critical improvement areas.
    • Manage performance of direct production staff

    SED Specialist Comm Dev Projects

    Job Description:

    • The purpose of a SED Specialist - Community Development Projects role is to support and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards.
    • The work of the role is to apply deep technical expertise to analyse data, anticipate and diagnose problems, and provide solutions aimed at the improvement of processes, systems and work methods that meet internal and/or external customer requirements.

    The role will primarily focus on the following key priorities:

    • Oversee the planning and delivery of the project / scope of work assigned for the Community related projects in line with Venetia Mine Social and Labour plan (SLP)/ Socio Economic Development commitments.
    • Determines project goals and priorities with management program manager and/or project sponsors.
    • Assists in determining priorities among project activities.
    • Assists in the effectively coordinating the activities of the team to meet project milestones.
    • Assists in compiling a complete and accurate estimate of a project.
    • Assists in managing the financial aspects of the project: budgeting, estimate to actual variance, capital project management, etc.

    Qualifications:

    • Recognised BTech Degree or an equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification (or higher) in a relevant field, such as Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
    • A project management qualification would be advantageous.

    Technical Skills:

    • 3-5 years of practical experience in project implementation.
    • Understanding of infrastructure development (e.g., roads, buildings, water reticulation, etc.).
    • Experience with construction processes, design, and planning.
    • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
    • Knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project).
    • Valid driver's license Code 08.

    Artisan Auto Electrician

    Job Description:

    • The role of an Artisan Auto Electrician is to maintain Venetia Mine Light Delivery, Service vehicles and Plant machines, e.g. Toyota underground Landcruiser, Toyota LDV’s, Service trucks, Front end loaders, Forklifts, Service trucks, MAN and Scania Buses, Surface generators etc. and related equipment according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications.

    Knowledge & Experience required:

    • Minimum of 3 years post trade experience in a vehicle maintenance workshop or support service infrastructure
    • Experience on Land Cruisers. wiring harnesses, battery and starter maintenance will be an added advantage

    • Ensure that Earth moving equipment is maintained according to set standards
    • Identify any unexpected problems that could require higher level technical support to and advise supervisor.

    Track Dozer Operator OC

    Job Description:
    Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Build new roads as and when required according to set requirements.
    • Ensure that the loading areas are well maintained by dozing.
    • Ensure that there are no spillages in the loading area.
    • Monitor condition of loading area/ and respond appropriately to deviations.
    • Clean all spillages in area.
    • Dress the loading area with fines as required.
    • Ensure that required grade elevation is maintained.
    • Keep floors level by ripping off any high spots/protruding rocks.
    • Dress the dumping area with fines as required.
    • Ensure that the dumping areas are well maintained by dozing.
    • Ensure that there are no spillages in the dump area.
    • Ensure area is adequately lit during darkness.
    • Ensure that haul trucks are tipping according to procedure.
    • Build safety berms should be half the size of the biggest Truck Tire.
    • Build ramps to the grade required.
    • Monitor condition of dump areas and respond appropriately to deviations.
    • Conduct daily inspections of equipment prior to usage.
    • Report any defects or deviations observed/to the dispatch operators.
    • Assist in maintaining prescribed lubricant, cooling and battery water levels
    • Clean the operator cab at the end of the shift.
