    Job Description

    Provide quality claims negotiating outcomes for the Claims function through effective and efficient claims negotiations and finalisation of claims

    • End-to-end negotiation and settlement of personal claims
    • Process personal claims - Cost-control – Efficiency -Productivity
    • Customer Service
    • Register personal claims in adherence with SLA.
    • Arrange assessment in adherence with SLA.
    • Review merit of claim.
    • Complete Risk assessment/checklist and additional support request analysis.
    • Clarify and amend information where required
    • Appoint the support service required.
    • Review Support Function Report.
    • Calculate and Analyse technical computations.
    • Capture decision in system.
    • Diarise Awaiting Info Documentation.
    • Prepare Rejection Letter, where required.
    • Perform Write-Off Procedures, where required.
    • Authorise repair by Service Provider, if applicable.
    • Authorise replacement, if applicable.
    • Prepare Payment with communication details.
    • Await additional information on multiple payments, if required.
    • Continuously improve claims service, manage claims spend and contain the increase in average cost of claims.
    • Reduce/ maintain Personal Claims service effectively.
    • Reduce/ maintain turnaround time of Personal Claims.
    • Ensure effective implementation and compliance of claims/ operational systems or procedures.
    • Ensure diary is maintained.
    • Ensure estimates are raised accurately and timeously in accordance with best practice as and when new claims and new documents are actioned, as well as when claims are worked on.

    Job Requirements

    • Matric or Equivalent
    • Must be able to register claims (End to End Process)
    • 2 - 3 years relevant Short Term Insurance Claims experience
    • Appropriate Insurance Qualifications
    • Working knowledge, understanding, comprehension and communication  skills
    • Underwriting knowledge
    • EXCEL knowledge

    OMF Leasing Manager

    Job Description

    • This role will act as a Principal Estate Agent (as a directors of a subsidiary company of Old Mutual Finance) and mentor to various Property Shop Intern Estate Agents. The role will also be individually accountable for identifying and closing/concluding transactions for profitable OMF branches, and value adding leasing transactions for new retail branches and commercial offices, relocations, enlargements, reductions, closures and renewals of the aforesaid, through others over periods of up to 5 year.
    • This role fits within the Properties Team that sits inside Old Mutual Finance, the unsecured lending arm of Old Mutual.
    • We manage 360+ Retail stores for Old Mutual Finance across the country, where we sit in Large Regional malls Mayor Metro’s or in the high street in a town like Lusikisiki. We don’t own any buildings but are on the tenant side of the properties world - sizes ranging from 50m² to 450m²
    • We also manage 200+ private clients commercial offices across the county also in Mayor metro’s or Rural towns. From High end Wealth clients to lower scale standard commercial offices - sizes range from 50m² to 2000m². We again here sit on the tenant side and do not own or manage buildings.

    As a Properties team, we provide a full turnkey solution to the above Old Mutual Finance and some external Old Mutual Group business units (referred to as private clients).

    We provide the following full turn-key solutions

    • Leasing
    • Properties Legal
    • Properties Procurement with our own OMF procurement policies and group of Properties vendors
    • Projects (Construct of new premises, Relocations, Closures, Upgrades, ATM installations, UPS installations, Water tank installations and Marketing or signage façade upgrades to name a few)
    • Repairs and maintenance of managed premises via call center agents and Maintenance officer teams
    • Design team managing all NBR requirements and managing of client specific corporate images
    • Projects Co-Ordination managing all spends related to projects and some Adhoc FM services. Tracking of Budgets and managing of Ledgers to name a few of the services.
    • Candidate will be required to attend to the following duties:
    • Act and mentor as Principle Estate Agent (as a directors of a subsidiary company of Old Mutual Finance) to various Property Shop Intern Estate Agents re: Continuous and compulsory 12 months internship period from the date of the first issue of an intern fidelity fund certificate.
    • Provide assistance and guidance to complete a logbook, containing all the estate agent activities attended to over the 12 month period (“Logbook”), supported by a Portfolio of Evidence. The Logbook is to be signed by the Principal and handed in to the PPRA when the Intern applies for full status.
    • Identifies and concludes profitable OMF branches, and value adding leasing transactions for new retail branches and commercial offices, relocations, enlargements, reductions, closures and renewals of the aforesaid, over lease periods of up to 5 years.
    • Concludes above leasing transactions on terms and conditions in accordance with client mandates.
    • Identifies property trends for opportunities.
    • Identifies and resolves problematic vacancies for portfolio clients.
    • Develops and maintains customer / industry networks to maximize lead identification.

    Minimum requirements:

    • Qualified Principle Estate Agent with successful completion of (or exemption from) the National Certificate: Real Estate (NQF 5);
    • Successful completion of the Professional Designation Examination (PDE 4);
    • Valid Principal Fidelity Fund Certificate (minimum 3 years);
    • 5 – 10 years property broker experience in commercial / retail letting;
    • Own transport and a valid driver’s license
