    Tax and Accounting Manager

    • We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Tax and Accounting Manager position in the Finance Department. The position will report to the Finance Manager and is based in Dunnottar, Nigel.
    • The primary focus of this position is to lead and manage the tax and accounting functions by ensuring accurate financial reporting, ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, while maintaining strong relations with SARS to resolve tax-related matters.
    • Provide guidance on tax and accounting issues, focusing on internal controls and processes to ensure alignment with legislative requirements and accounting standards, strategic planning that supports the business on tax and accounting matters.

    Key Performance Area / Main Output

    Detailed Description / Inputs

    Accounting:

    • Oversee the recording, tracking and reporting of financial information.
    • Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end accounting processes to ensure accurate and on time reporting.
    • Assist with the review of reconciliations and journals.
    • Monitor and analyse accounting records and prepare annual financial statements including tax computations.
    • Collaborate with external auditors, provide information required and respond to queries raised. Follow up on audit findings to ensure compliance.
    • Assist with the development of cash forecasting methods and reports to business and other stakeholders.
    • Develop, implement and enforce controls, policies and procedures to ensure accurate records and efficiency within department.
    • Implement latest developments in accounting standards IFRS requirements.

    Tax:

    • Review tax returns and relevant inputs and ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns to SARS.
    • Ensure tax compliance, liaise with SARS on any tax noncompliance and manage the resolution of such compliance issues. Resolve queries raised by SARS either through SARS e-filing or other correspondence.
    • Ensure the accurate and timeous resolution of any tax audits and collaborate with business partners to ensure conclusion of audits. 
    • Manage all tax records, SARS correspondence, and resolutions on the shared drive in compliance with legal and internal document management control requirements.
    • Oversee and review the correct application of the VAT Act across relevant functions, addressing any inconsistencies with the appropriate stakeholders.
    • Timeously forecast and report cash tax to the project and central tax teams.
    • Ensure the timeous payment for all tax due by the business.
    • Advise the business of SARS and corporate tax.
    • Support the business on indirect tax (PAYE, Customs) matters.  
    • Maintain the tax asset register and manage tax allowances and collaborate with external consultants to identify additional allowances applicable to the business.
    • Liaise with tax consultants on all tax related matters.
    • Evaluate and report on transfer pricing and permanent establishment (PE) risks to the tax team and the business.
    • Maintain positive relations with tax consultants, SARS and any other stakeholders.

    Cross Functional Support:

    • Provide accounting and tax insights to support informed business decisions.
    • Guide accounts receivables, treasury and accounts payable, project controlling and business controlling teams on accounting and tax related matters.

    Internal Financial Controls and Efficiencies:

    • Serve as the gatekeeper for financial controls and structures to ensure compliance and enhance efficiency.
    • Ensure that standardised processes are documented and adhered to.

    People Management:

    • Prioritise resources, facilitate alignment of the team, and set and cascade KPA’s.

    Repair Operator

    • We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for Repair Operator position under Services department. The position will report the Team Leader Repairs and is based in Midrand.

    Job Purpose

    • Diagnose and troubleshoot fault finding on components and perform repair operations in the Repair Centre in accordance with work instructions. Perform bench testing, update the SES system and draft detailed repairs reports.

    Repairs Operation

    • Test components to accurately identify faults and diagnose required actions.
    • Dissemble components and assess parts to be removed, replaced, or repaired.
    • Assemble components and inspect product to ensure high quality.
    • Retest components after replacement or repair to confirm proper functionality.
    • Operate, stop, and clean machines and equipment in accordance with company specifications and requirements.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate (NCS).
    • Diploma in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or equivalent. (advantageous)
    • 2 – 3 Years Warehousing experience including the receiving and dispatching of material and use of Warehouse Management Systems.
    • Forklift or equivalent equipment license.
    • SAPICS certification. (advantageous)
    • 2 – 3 Years SAP ERP System knowledge. (advantageous)

    Project Supply Chain Lead

    Electronics Test Technician

    • We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for Electronics Technician position under Services department. The position will report to the Repairs Team Leader and is based in Midrand.

    Job Purpose

    • To conduct precise testing and repairs on electronic equipment, including diagnostics at the printed circuit board (PCB) and component level, ensuring accurate fault detection and corrective actions.
    • Adhere to turnaround times for returned products from PRASA to minimise train downtime, document and report repair outcomes to clients, and provide insights to Method Engineers for design enhancements to mitigate future faults. Perform preventative maintenance on automated test benches to support operational reliability and efficiency.

    Testing and Electronic Repairs

    • Conduct functional test on returned products.
    • Diagnose issues using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and perform troubleshooting processes for each product and subsystem.
    • Define and implement repair processes for returned items from trains, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, safety, health and environment (SHE), quality, cost and delivery (QCD) and requirements.
    • Perform level 1 maintenance on test benches to ensure ongoing functionality.
    • Develop trouble shooting trees for each product and sub-system to streamline fault-finding processes.
    • Share return of experience (REX) on fault finding and repairs with the design authorities to improve product reliability.
    • Maintain and repair electronic equipment (replacement of modules).

    Repair electronic boards and adhere to QCD and EHS requirements such as:

    • Coating of boards
    • Removal and replacement of components
    • Use of electronic measuring equipment
    • Perform serigraphy, CMS components cabling and soldering as required. 
    • Track and document assemblies for testing and repair e.g check history of repairs by capturing all relevant repair information on SAP / SES.
    • Clean assemblies before testing and repairs to perform accurate visual inspections.
    • Execute repair tasks for subsystem products and validate compliance with specifications and engineering standards.
    • Check that tools and equipment are in good working order and ensure compliance with calibration requirements.

    • Complete documentation and technical reports detailing root causes and repair solutions.
    • Recommend the scrapping of irreparable products or suggest the outsourcing of repairs when necessary.

    Head of Project Controlling

    • We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Head of Project Controlling position in the Finance Department. The position will report to the Chief Financial Oficer and is based in Dunnottar, Nigel.
    • The primary focus of this position is to manage the implementation of project financial controls and oversee project reviews from initiation to contract completion to confirm margins.

    Capex:
