    Export Document Controller - 6 Months Contract

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Processing Customs and other statutory body documents required for Customer Clearance.
    • Processing of Cargo Dues.
    • Processing of all Export Commercial Invoices and documentation (Word & Excel)
    • Collation of Export information to process accurate documents.
    • Processing of NRCS online EU Traces and Manual Health Certificates.
    • Processing of SGS & Dept of Agriculture Health certificates and related documents.
    • Processing of Eur1, Certificate of Origin & IUU Catch Certificates.
    • Compiling Shipping Instructions to various Shipping lines and ensure accurate Bills of lading are finalized.
    • Arranging Telex Releases.
    • Processing and arranging of Airfreight & documentation.
    • Processing and arranging of LCL Abalone orders/shipments and documentation.
    • Compiling a full set of export documents within a specified time frame.
    • Creating bank instruments as per agreed payment terms when required.
    • Dispatch documents by courier to overseas agents and customers.
    • SAP: Updating Sales orders, creating shipment, shipment costs and billing documents.
    • Liaising with internal & external Service Providers incl. the offsite logistics team.
    • Ensure Service provider freight charges comply with contract agreed rates.
    • Other administrative duties, filing etc.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Stock control or similar environment
    • Experience in a Creditor function
    • Experience within the shipping industry would be advantageous

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12
    • Qualification in Shipping / Export or Logistics Management would be advantageous

    Maintenance Planner

    Job Specification:
    Key Performance Areas:

    Maintenance System Management

    • Review and maintain asset register including guarantees & warrantees register.
    • Keep the Critical Plant List up-to date.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance master plan for all equipment and facilities.
    • Drive outage and shutdown planning activities.

     Planning and Scheduling

    • Prioritize weekly maintenance tasks based on equipment criticality, operational needs, and resource availability.
    • Assessment of Engineering workload requirements, liaise with Engineering and Production stakeholders to ensure that maintenance plans are realistic, adequately resourced and plant downtime is appropriately and effectively planned.
    • Align weekly plans with Divisional managers.
    • Prepare for and coordinate weekly maintenance meetings.

     Work Order Management

    • Create and manage work orders for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks.
    • Ensure work orders are detailed, including necessary materials, labour, and safety requirements.
    • Track the progress of work orders and update statuses on the maintenance management system (On-Key)

     Resource Coordination

    • Collaborate with the Engineering Storeman to identify and procure necessary tools, parts, and materials for maintenance activities.
    • Manage inventory levels for spare parts and maintenance supplies.

     Stores Management

    • Manage the engineering stores and storeman function.
    • Coordinate weekly cycle counts and Bi-Annual stock takes of the engineering stores.

    Documentation and Reporting

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, service reports, and equipment history.
    • Generate and analyse reports on maintenance performance, including schedule attainment, resource utilization and downtime.

     Continuous Improvement

    • Manage preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, which will include condition monitoring and other practices.
    • Analyse machinery and component life cycles by identifying failure trends and making recommendations to improve maintenance strategies, practices, procedures, and systems.
    • Implement best practices and innovations to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Experience:                                                                   

    • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Maintenance / Maintenance Planner role

    Qualifications:

    • National Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering
    • Trade Test qualification – advantageous

    Education:

    • National Diploma or BTech in Chemical Engineering/Operations Management or equivalent.

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    Health, Safety and Environment

    • Adhere to, and ensure compliance by subordinates to the company safety policies and procedures.
    • Assist with attainment and maintenance of relevant health, safety and environmental management system standards for processing, utilities and buildings.
    • Ensure facilities and infrastructure are conducive to employee health and wellness.

    Food Safety

    • Adhere to, and ensure compliance by subordinates to FSSC 22000, AIB and ISO principles.
    • Ensure site infrastructure and equipment are installed and maintained in such a manner that Food Safety is not compromised.
    • Ensure standard of utilities and processing equipment is in line with Food Safety Standards.

    Plant Availability and reliability

    • Oversee all relevant maintenance activities for Creamer Packing lines and equipment.
    • Ensure daily plant inspections are conducted to guarantee maximum uptime and quality.
    • Communicate with the Operations team in the case of disruption due to breakdowns.
    • Conduct relevant inspections and examinations for legal compliance and safety.
    • Assist and oversee high-level breakdowns to ensure quick turnaround times.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations to reduce downtime.
    • Develop and maintain a problem-solving culture within the department (direct reports) through facilitating and sustaining root cause analysis practices.
    • Ensure that the job card processes including monitoring, allocation, close-out and backlog are up to date.
    • Assist with reviewing OEM recommended spares and identification and classification of critical spares.
    • Participate in scoping and procurement of new plant equipment to ensure adherence to site Engineering standards.
    • Workshop housekeeping, GMP and environmental compliance and related activities must adhere to relevant standards.
    • Input into development and coordination of major shutdowns and communication with all relevant stakeholders, with main focus on execution of plan.
    • Assist with planning of new installations, upgrades and modifications to the existing plant in a safe and effective manner.

    Systems and reporting

    • Assist with the Computerised Maintenance Management System, ensuring reliability and integrity of information.
    • Report on asset care schedule compliance and artisan utilisation.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures.
    • Raising and closing out of NCR’s.

    Management

    • Lead millwrights, artisans
    • Ensuring appropriate resources for departmental requirements.
    • Assist with updating and implementation of skills matrix as well as coordination of training.
    • Plan and control engineering tasks; allocate resources to activities; control labour scheduling; overtime and cost control for area of responsibility.
    • Planning, scheduling, monitoring and evaluating of artisan tasks according to the CMMS (Asset care system).
    • Ensure that labour allocation and hours of work are in accordance with the Basic Conditions of Employment and Labour Relations Act.
    • Review completed job cards and approve.
    • Hold 1 on 1 discussions and evaluate IPA’s with artisans.C

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • Minimum of 5 years’ post-trade test experience in FMCG / Manufacturing environment with a focus on packing machine maintenance.
    • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role
    • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).

    Qualifications:

    • Trade tested artisan at an accredited training facility.
    • Millwright, National diploma, N6 or equivalent qualification highly advantageous.
    • Continual professional development in maintenance management and engineering standards.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Knowledge and experience on Computerised Maintenance Management System (i.e. SAP, Shopware or similar).
    • Experience in a powder packing machinery.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience of packing equipment relative to packaging machinery is required.
    • Sound knowledge and understanding of OHS Act legal compliance and statutory inspections.
    • Ability to lead and supervisor contractors and suppliers.
    • Must be prepared to work overtime, be on call outs and on stand-by duty.
    • Must have your own reliable transport.
