    Graphic Designer & Webmaster

    A state owned entity based in JHB CBD is looking for a Graphic Designer & Webmaster to join their marketing team

    Purpose of the role

    To create and develop engaging graphics for a variety of media and to assist with Website Content Administration and Management for the company.

     MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Relevant IT/Technical diploma (NQF6) and/ or degree (NQF7)
    • National Diploma in Graphic Art/Design or any related creative field (NQF6)
    • Graphic Design Tools and Applications training
    • 3 years’ experience in relevant field, 4 years’ experience would be an added advantage

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    Management of Designs and Artwork

    • Development of the company Brand Strategy and Corporate Identity Manual
    • Conceptualise and Design Artworks for the company
    • To drive consistent standards and approaches throughout all design aspects
    • Planning, designing, and developing the company marketing material.
    • Updating all platforms that require design and layout of content including mobile app and website

    Innovation, Research and Development

    • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into design and layout of all  content
    • Gather and refine specifications and requirements per design project
    • Stay up to date with new technology trends within the graphic design space
    • To keep up to date with the latest web design technologies and techniques in order to discuss them for inclusion within our website creations designs

    Management and Maintenance of Web Platforms

    • Optimizing the web architectures platforms for navigability and accessibility
    • Ensuring the website and databases are being backed up content is backed up
    • Assisting in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates
    • Maintaining all communications platforms including Website, Intranet and Mobile application
    • Play a leading role in design discussions with internal staff and external consultants as appropriate to help shape and implement design ideas
    • Responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling web platforms through design and layout
    • Create standard and aligned web content as well as material for the company web platforms

    Provision of  Projects and Events Support  Services

    • Provide Artwork support services to the company Events and Projects
    • Collaborate with the relevant managers to ensure a successful, high-quality design and layout of materials and great user experience
    • Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders in support of projects and events
    • Manage website content and ensure regular update of the Internet and various web platforms in support of projects and events
    • Plan for future changes to the website platforms and communicate the changes with stakeholders

    Website Development and Administration

    • Upload information for placement on the company website
    • Develop web content and ensure that all archive material and publications of the company is accessible on the website
    • Ensure accessibility of the website to all internet users
    • Ensure accessibility of the internet to the public domain

    Buyers Assistant - Medirite Divisional Office

    Introduction

    A well known strategic facilities management solutions company is looking for a Buyer to join their dynamic team to be based in Centurion 

    Purpose of the Role:

    This role is responsible for operational buying and support to the Supply Chain Department in general administrative duties, including placing of orders, data analysis and information gathering. Expediting, ad hoc Procurement Officer duties and Master Data Administration duties also forms part of this role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Purchase materials, equipment and related services, and general office supplies.
    • Order Management:  - Management of P-2-P transactions;  - Exception management;  - Non-catalogue order execution (free text);  - ID of late orders, price & quantity variances
    • Ensure overall management of Request For Quote process (e.g. Obtain quotes, Evaluate & Award)
    • Manage Purchase Requests - Train on purchasing procedures and assist end users in initiating requisitions.  Resolve all purchasing issues between requester and vendors.
    • Identification of potential "new" items for coding - Registration of new items on system aligned to contracts
    • Identification of commodities and services that should be migrated to contracts
    • Managing queries with Accounts Payable - Investigate and resolve supplier payment queries and problems
    • Gather data and documents to assist the Master Data Administrator. e.g. B-BBEE certificates

    Minimum experience & qualifications required

    • Grade 12
    • National Diploma Supply Chain/Logistics/Purchasing
    • 2-3 Years purchasing experience with an excellent understanding of products/services and the costing thereof
    • Driver’s License
    • CIPS and others would be an advantage

    Software Developer (Java / C#)

    Introduction

    An insurance services company in Sandton is seeking for a Software Developer with C# or Java skills. 

    Purpose of the Role

    This role will be engaged in all phases of the software development lifecycle which include:
    analyzing user/business system requirements, responding to outages and creating application system models. Participate in design meetings and consult with clients to refine, test and debug programs to meet business needs. Interact with direct third-party partners in the achievement of business and technology initiatives

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Development and design
      1. Develop, test and implement new software programs.
      2. Design and update software application. This includes, but is not limited to:
      3. Database input, Data Communication Processes and User Interfaces
      4. Unit testing, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
      5. Independently install, customize and integrate commercial software packages.
      6. Create root cause analysis report for system issues.
      7. Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
      8. Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.
      9. Resolve technical design issues or any application issue.
      10. Input into the development of technical specifications and plans.
      11. Review and Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to design documents.
      12. Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports as requested.
    2. System integration
      1. Design the overall integration architecture in conjunction with experts on the target systems.
      2. Design and code integration components including plug-ins, messaging (and supporting business rules).
      3. Estimate effort required for each integration point enhancement.
      4. Perform unit testing for integration point enhanced and resolve defects.
      5. Create additional data model elements and extend the existing application data model with new properties as needed for integration components
    3. Applications configuration
      1. Manage application configuration and perform minor/major software upgrades.
      2. Configure screen layouts and create new screens in Guidewire Studio as and when required.
      3. Configure business rules and other business logic in Guidewire's scripting language.
      4. Create forms and letter templates and their supporting XML descriptor files.
      5. Create and modify existing type lists.
      6. Configure operational parameters for roles, permissions, user attributes, regions, etc.
      7. Create and extend data model elements with new properties for the existing application.
    4. Stakeholder engagements
      1. Regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
      2. Provide solutions to business challenges and input into technical decisions.
      3. Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues.
      4. Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
    5. Ad-hoc
      1. Perform ad hoc task when required by line manager.

    Minimum experience & qualifications required

    1. Matric & Tertiary qualification (degree/diploma) in Computer Science or Information Systems
    2. Developers may work with multiple programming languages and operating systems and knowledge of coding languages will be advantageous (e.g. Java, C#, C, or C++, API, Web API).
    3. 5+ years proven knowledge and experience in development and testing using Object Oriented Languages (Preferable Java 8+ or C#).
    4. Operating at the level of a professionally qualified, experienced specialists and mid-management.
    5. Working on Microsoft environments (Support and configuration).
    6. Implementing and deploying web services/applications (SOAP/REST).
    7. Responding to second/third line support
    8. Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, MVC, Jutro(Guidewire)
    9. Tooling: IntelliJ IDE, VS Code, Github, JIRA, Confluence and Jenkins Application Servers (Tomcat, Apache HTTP, IIS)
    10. Coding languages that will be advantageous Guidewire (Gosu)
    11. Net and Azure development also advantageous
