    Loco Driver Electrical

    The Loco-Driver is accountable for the safe operation of assigned rail-bound equipment which includes team conveyances, material cars and ore transportation.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Be in possession of a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
    • Be in possession of Loco Driver’s Certificate/license
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a loco driver (Battery Operated)
    • Appropriate Dover Assessment – B Level
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment.

    Spares Planning Assistant - Modderfontein

    The Spares Planning Assistant is accountable for proving effective daily Planned Maintenance functional support through the timely and accurate processing of operational works orders and for the ordering, processing and delivery of spares, components and materials required for scheduled and ad hoc equipment, plant and infrastructure maintenance work.  The incumbent is also required to actively partner with operational and supply chain teams to ensure the maintenance of pre-defined spares inventory levels and, for maintaining accurate condition records of exchanged components.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
    • Accredited Trade Certificate or, a recognised Supply Chain or Planned Maintenance Diploma
    • Minimum of 3 years’ maintenance experience within a trackless environment or, proven track record in Materials Management within a mechanised trackless mining environment
    • Proficient in the use of SAP, specifically in the ordering and purchasing system modules
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment.

    • Proactively ensure the availability of the right equipment at the right time to avoid machine downtime
    • Conduct and record pre- and post-assessments on old components according to standard operating procedures
    • Collaborate with planned maintenance, engineering foremen and supply chain teams to plan and manage the timely, accurate and effective ordering, logistics and delivery of parts, components and materials escalating any aspects that could impact service delivery
    • Engage with operational and planned maintenance teams to ensure the timely, accurate and effective planning, capturing, and processing of works orders

    • Ensure unused spares are returned to stores and credited to relevant engineering budgets

    The Maintenance Utility Vehicle Operator is accountable for refuelling TM3 machines, stationary impact breakers in the underground environment

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Performs end of shift procedures according to standards and procedures e.g., parks the Maintenance Utility Vehicle at the designated area, cleans equipment and reports to supervisor
    • Performs any other activities necessary for the effective completion of his/her work
    • Filling up of maintenance vehicle with oil, diesel and hydraulic oil. Driving to the section and filling up TM3 machines with diesel, hydraulic oil and engine oil including all stationary impact breakers

    The Planned Maintenance Reporting Analyst is accountable for ensuring data integrity and, developing and generating planning, control systems and maintenance information and reports to enable Engineering Asset Management trend analysis and decision support.

    Trackless Supervisor Operations - Modderfontein

    The Trackless Supervisor Operations is accountable for operationalising and executing the safe and efficient delivery of the delegated short and medium-term production plan.  The role is primarily accountable for the application and continuous enhancement of safety standards and optimising sectional operational planning, scheduling and execution.  The incumbent will be required to investigate and analyse operational deficiencies with a view to co-designing and developing collaborative and innovative solutions to optimise the interfaces between operational teams, processes and systems.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, environmental, regulatory and related standards, regulations, and instructions, relevant Codes of Practice and the escalation process where deviations and non-compliance are observed
    • Ensure the establishment of safe, efficient and proper operation/use of all machinery, equipment and infrastructure identifying areas of remedial intervention as required
    • Actively provide and demonstrate Visible Felt Leadership in line with safety, health and environmental standards
