Minimum Requirements    

• Appropriate university degree and professional qualification
• Teaching experience at senior high school level In Life Science and Life Orientation;
• Current Registration with SACE
• Computer literacy and ability to integrate IT suitably in teaching/learning, however, special interest and further experience in this area will be advantageous.
• A dynamic, creative personality with strong interpersonal skills
• A commitment to full participation in the extra-mural activities of the school
• Teaching experience within the IEB system would be advantageous;.
• Experience in the demands of the GET and FET curricula;
• Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of the school

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Prepare for, teach and assess beyond the requirements of the CAP’s Document and Requirements;
• Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to healthy, connective and where possible cutting-edge teaching and learning;
• Set, mark and evaluate class work, homework, assessments, examinations and provide regular and meaningful feedback to students/staff/parents;
• Moderate formal assessments and research projects
• Monitor, encourage pastoral care;
• Engage and participate in the reflection and staff development process of the School
