    Technical Manager : Analysis Services

    Key Responsibility Area 

    • Ensure that projects match business needs and requirements, furnish end-user requirements. 
    • Manage and provide guidance to the team on Applications services processes and procedures as to their use to ensure compliance with standards to maintain the quality of developed applications. 
    • Responsible for the delivery of new feature functionality, as well as the production support for in scope Applications and services. 
    • Serve as a communication point between Business and the customers for Applications projects and services responsible for and ensure that service level agreements and customer expectations are met. 
    • Analyse, design and manage implementation of the modernisation plan for current legacy systems responsible for. 
    • Partners with product owners, architects, and other IT leaders and staff to deliver Applications projects and services that support business initiatives and meet the clients ‘s needs.

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Minimum: 3 – 4 Year National Diploma / Degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science /Information Technology or relevant qualification equivalent to NQF Level 6. 
    • Certification: Vendor certification for applications will be an added advantage. 

    Experience: 

    • A minimum of 8 years in the ICT field, including IT Governance, IT Planning, systems development/procurement, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of integrated solutions across multiple hardware and software platforms with leadership, management, operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation including: minimum 3 years’ experience in a management/leadership level/role. Experience should include the following: application lifecycle management experience including: 
    • Experience in business analysis and design. 
    • Experience in process mapping and re-engineering. 
    • Experience in data modelling. 
    • Experience in business architecture as an added advantage. 
    • Experience in developing software and software component integration as an added advantage. 
    • Experience with large to very large enterprise environments which include multiple site locations with hands-on requirements gathering elicitation and facilitation experience. 
    • Experience in designing, developing, and writing specifications for solutions, reports and interfaces. 
    • Experience in preparing business, technical designs, training, and deployment documentation.

    Advanced: Software Developer

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Lead the development of functional requirements that articulate clear and concise project deliverables that are compatible with user expectations 
    • Deliver feasibility and cost-benefit analysis, including choice of application architecture to enhance the overall application development process 
    • Lead, and execute complex software development and customization projects spanning multiple environments to ensure that it is successfully delivered 
    • Lead and develop/ customize complex applications services solutions by studying information needs; consulting with clients, studying systems flow, data usage and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle using SITAs software development stack/ development framework. 
    • Lead and execute maintenance of integrated IT software components using SITAs software development stack/ development framework 
    • Ensure execution of and participate in comprehensive test activities to test program functionality for new and existing applications in compliance with SITA test methods and testing techniques using SITA approved testing tools 
    • Lead, manage and execute packaging and releasing of integrated IT software components in accordance with ICT standards and the enterprise architecture for Government
    • Evaluate existing applications responsible for and understand how to modernize.

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Required Qualification: Matric with more than 10 years’ experience in COBOL/IMS and Assembler programming.
    • Certification: Vendor certification for applications will be an added advantage. 
    • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in the application/systems development, implementation and maintenance/enhancements of integrated solutions across multiple hardware and software platforms with senior operational responsibility in a large corporate/public sector organisation with minimum of ten (10) years as Senior Software Developer including: Mainframe, COBOL IMS, Assembler programming and related software development. Extensive experience within Applications Technical solution design in multiple business domains. Extensive Experience in integration. Extensive experience in CA Harvest, Endevor, Dumpmaster, SmartTest. The following experience will be an added advantage: Experience in DevOps and Agile Methodologies Experience in applications modernization.

    Consultant: Functional Application Support

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Provide Business Advisory Services. Oversee and Provide Functional Application Support service. 
    • Implement functional system enhancements / changes in accordance with client request and advise client on future developments 
    • Coordinate GIS projects between client and ESRI and support the implementation of the clients GIS Strategy. 
    • Provide Integrated Management information support solutions to clients and management.

    Qualifications and Experience 

    • Minimum: 3 year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in ICT/GIS/Remote Sensing, Registered as a GISc Professional at SA Geomatics council (SAGC) 
    • Experience: 5-6 years’ experience/exposure in ICT services/industry, with at least 3 years’ experience in implementation of ArcGIS Enterprise Technology & Esri ArcGIS Enterprise (COTS) Software.

    Senior Project Manager

    Key Responsibility Area 

    • INITIATION PROJECT - Effectively applies project management principles to Initiate and Plan the project. 
    • MANAGE PRODUCT DELIVERY - Manage product delivery to ensure successful delivery of the project. 
    • PROJECT CONTROL - Monitor and Control project activities to ensure successful delivery of the project objectives within budget, scope, time and quality according to plan.

    • Experience: A minimum of 7-8 years working experience, including:
    •  At least 4 years Project management experience managing complex projects,
    • At least 4 years working experience in an IT environment and 
    • At least 4 years in public sector IT environment.

    Specialist: Legal and Regulatory Compliance

    Key Responsibility Areas 

    • Update the Compliance Universe. 
    • Develop Compliance Risk Management Plans (CRMPs) 
    • Monitor the level of compliance with legislation on an ongoing basis.
