    Recruitment Officer - Sandton

    Main Purpose: 

    • To facilitate and document the entire recruitment process from developing the advert to the appointment of the successful candidate.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Draft internal and external advertisements and send to Line Managers for approval.
    • Load approved adverts on internal and external job boards.
    • Process job applications from shortlisting to regretting unsuccessful candidates.
    • Schedule pen and paper assessments at the applicable venues.
    • Arrange and facilitate competency based interviews.
    • Travel to different sites to perform duties.
    • Collate relevant candidate documentation and do the necessary compliance checks prior to appointment.
    • Continuous liaising with Line Management and candidates.
    • Coordinate with Talent and Training department to support project and internal programme requirements.
    • Any other job related duties as requested from time to time.

    Junior Project Planner Bethal

    Main Purpose: To obtain skills, knowledge and ability through the Planner Competency Process to eventually develop into a competent Planner.

    Key Performance Areas:

    Develop a network diagram to determine the logical sequences of events and to calculate the Critical Path of a project.

    • Develop standard detail project plan which includes network diagram with critical path, schedule and labour histogram: Compile work packages for project scope including method statements and risk assessments, bill of materials, bill of equipment.
    • Monitor changes to critical path and identify deviation.
    • Advise management on potential deviations with regards to scheduled activities and resources.
    • Maintain plan according to project requirements.
    • Identify opportunities to improve future planning of projects.
    • Facilitate review meetings in accordance with Planning standards.
    • Establish and maintain visual factory in accordance with Planning standards.
    • Act as planner in the absence of the Project Planner.
    • Monitor progress during execution by liaising with all interested parties to obtain accurate information/status.

    • Basic understanding of project planning processes (work breakdown structures, Gantt charts, project scheduling, project controls, etc.).
    • Knowledge of work - and planning standards.
    • Knowledge of boiler maintenance, construction and engineering would be advantageous.
    • Ability to draw up a network diagram which is reflective of the actual execution of work packages.
    • Possess the necessary expertise in navigating project planning software.
    • Computer literate (MS Office and current planning software packages).

    Driver Code 14 (PDP) - Pretoria

    Main Purpose: 

    • To transport goods and equipment to and from sites in a safe and efficient manner.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Transport Employees to and from different work locations as and when required.
    • Comply with the Road Traffic Act including regulations, OHS Act, Company Procedures and Instructions.
    • Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any defects to ensure vehicle reliability and compliance with the Road Traffic Act and Regulations.
    • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of vehicles at all times.
    • Willing to work overtime, weekends and public holidays if and when required.

    Diesel Mechanic 5

    Main Purpose: To ensure that all vehicles, cranes, construction plan and lifting equipment are maintained and in a safe working condition with valid certification where applicable as per Occupational Health and Safety Act

    Key Performance Areas:

    Planned maintenance

    • Assist in developing a maintenance plan including check lists for each vehicle/crane type in the fleet including other construction plant and equipment.
    • Assist in developing preventative maintenance schedule for all fleet vehicles, cranes and construction plant and equipment.
    • Prioritise maintenance activities.
    • Ensure that vehicles and cranes are serviced and maintained according to the schedule and inspection check lists.

    Emergency repairs on vehicles/equipment

    • Assess and prioritise emergency breakdowns.
    • Consult with management, site managers and external clients regarding availability and replacement of cranes.

    Compliance and control

    • Controls the quality of repair and maintenance activities to ensure that client expectations are met.
    • Conduct regular checks on vehicles/cranes to improve reliability of fleet.
    • Conduct inspections on completion of repair work.
    • Ensure compliance with the Company QMS.

    Administration and cost control

    • Assist Manager with technical assistance and advice.
    • Seek most cost effective maintenance strategy for all vehicle types in fleet.
    • Manage maintenance cost, maintain service and repair records.
    • Do expediting on orders and spares required.

    Safety management

    • Weekly and monthly inspections as required.
    • Attend and contribute to daily toolbox talks.
    • Assist with compiling task risk assessments relevant to the tasks in progress.
    • Assist with written Safe Work Procedures relevant to the occupation and critical tasks under direct control.
    • Reporting and investigation of incidents, unsafe conditions and acts within area of responsibility.
    • Ensure all tasks are carried out according to the Safe Work Procedures and Risk assessments and that actions are compliant to the OHS Act, relevant Regulations and Company procedures.

    • Knowledge of OHS Act, relevant Regulations and Safety Standards. (Risk assessments, Safe work Procedures, sound housekeeping practices, SANS standards and certification.
    • Computer literate (MS Office).
    • Valid driver’s licence.
