    Specialist: PFMA Assurance - Durban

    Position Purpose:

    • Support the Specialist: PFMA Assurance to implement PFMA improvement initiatives to address noncompliance sustainably.
    • Ensure compliance and understanding to the requirements of the Public Finance Management Act through training and awareness to all employees within TPT

    • Assist the Specialist: PFMA assurance implement PFMA initiatives to proactively identify.
    • PFMA reportable matters across TPT.
    • Proactively share PFMA reportable matters as lessons learnt across TPT and various functional areas to ensure awareness is created to prevent re-occurrence
    • Proactively roll out PFMA training across TPT employees to ensure requirements to report and identify PFMA reportable matters well understood and complied with.
    • Conduct determination tests to ensure identification and root causes of PFMA violations reported.
    • Develop action plans to address root causes of PFMA violations and workshop with management to prevent re-occurrences.
    • Proactively follow up on PFMA reportable matters to identify root causes and internal controls deficiencies and recommend corrective action to prevent re-occurrence across TPT.
    • Conduct adhoc PFMA compliance reviews based on requests from the business as well as red flags within TPT.
    • Provide guidance and support to business on decision making to ensure regulations of PFMA are complied with at all times.
    • Share PFMA lessons learnt across TPT and governance forums to create awareness to prevent re-occurrences requirements across TPT.
    • Develop training material to successfully train end users and process owners on the requirements of PFMA compliance.
    • Proactively engage with TPT management to identify any PFMA challenges and ensure controls are in place to reduce PFMA violations across TPT.
    • Engage Group Loss Control + Group PFMA to obtain lessons learnt on PFMA compliance across Group to prevent re-occurrences at TPT. Identify, analyse and address data analytics and CCM dashboards to proactively identify
    • PFMA violations and ensure timeous reporting thereof.
    • Updating Control Frameworks and Control Self-Assessment to ensure controls are in place to address PFMA risks and legislative requirements across TPT.
    • Analyse SAP data to identify focus areas and red flags to assess transactional data to test for compliance to PFMA.
    • Co-ordinate reviews with stakeholders across TPT to ensure collaboration for ease of execution and successful completion of PFMA reviews and audits.
    • Design audit programmes, work papers and audit reports to test for compliance to PFMA.
    • Facilitate discussion of PFMA compliance audits/ reviews reports and conduct close out meeting with Senior and Executive
    • Management to agree on findings, recommendations and action plans that will improve the PFMA control environment.
    • Facilitate on behalf of the Specialist: PFMA the PFMA reports arising from the PFMA reviews and audits to support PFMA violations reported.

    Qualifications & Experience:
    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Auditing/Accounting is required
    • At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in an assurance or related working environment and working knowledge of PFMA related matters (or a similar environment) is required. (PFMA experience essential.)
    • Financial Management risk experience
    • Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19
    • Public Sector External Audit experience will be an added advantage

    Manager: SAP Application - Durban

    Position Purpose:

    • Leading a team of resources that provide and support IT Applications/Solutions to TPT. The IT solutions include SAP and non-SAP solutions, and are provided to all business functions such as Operations, Finance, Procurement, Plant Maintenance etc. The resources managed include (but not limited to) Line Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, Software Developers, Database Engineers/Administrators, and System Testers.

    Facilities Machinery Operator X 2 - Koedoespoort

    Position Purpose:

    • Operate driven machinery, mainly for mowing grass, road and yard cleaning as well as machinery for tree felling and vegetation control.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of the plant premises and ensure all external areas are sound, safe, and tidy aesthetically pleasing and they present a safe environment.
    • Ensure that grass is properly cut to the facilities’ soft services specification and vegetation and trees are trimmed to an acceptable standard as per specific requirements.
    • To ensure that all required machinery to perform these tasks is in a safe and reliable condition and first line maintenance including checking of oil and fuel is adequately carried out.

    Position outputs:
    OUTPUTS

    • Operate all machinery for Road and Yard Cleaning, grass cutting and vegetation control within TE.
    • Ensure that the Service Specification requirements are met when performing the duties of cutting grass, trimming the hedges and vegetation control.
    • Follow the roster provided by the Facilities Supervisor to rotate efficiently between the assigned areas that have to be cut.
    • Avoid wastage of fuel and consumables. Come up with some savings initiatives to control costs within your area of responsibility.
    • Do first line maintenance on the machines which includes checking of oil, fuel and cleaning the machines after use.
    • Work together in cooperation with the gardeners who have to collect after you and also clean some corners where the machine doesn’t reach.
    • Conduct all duties in a safe manner and contribute to safety talks and help promote a safety culture within the team.
    • Come up with some innovations and cost saving initiatives, e.g., on water usage for irrigation and fuel saving for the machines.
    • Always wear the correct protective clothing when performing your duties.
    • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the Facilities Supervisors and gardeners and communicate well to understand any challenges related to your expected deliverables.
    • Promptly report any breakdown in the machines or any suspicion of a breakdown and not wait until the machine has damaged other components.
    • Do not abuse leave days and always arrange your leave with your Supervisor prior to taking it.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • No qualification required.
    • Drivers’ License (Code 08)
    • One year Previous Operator Experience or Driving Experience
    • Basic literacy to read & write

    • Experience in a construction or facilities environment.
