As Sensor Networks scales, we require technical support staff across multiple digital channels to support customer queries.
The support staff will work with our Head of Operations in building a support network through a call centre, business what’s app and various other channels to timorously solve customer queries and technical faults.

We are a small, highly experienced team of intelligent, passionate and diverse individuals, looking to scale up the business after successfully proving the Sensor Networks concept over the last three years, with our blue-chip corporate customer base. Our core team has launched several hardware, software and IoT projects together in the past, and is now positioning the company to move from ‘start-up’ to ‘growth’ phase.
Sensor Networks has an informal company culture, with a relaxed dress code, flexible working hours and remote-work opportunities. We are based in the Gardens area of the Cape Town CBD, with a satellite office focused on hardware procurement and manufacturing in Diep River.
We are constantly pushing the boundaries of where IoT can take the insurance industry, and are passionate about refining our ability to predict and prevent insurance claims, as well as remotely solve issues that arise (without the need for costly repair teams). We want to make IoT work for companies and end users alike.
As Sensor Networks scales, we will need a strong back-end engineer to join our growing Software Development team.
The Back-End Engineer will need to work on implementing new feature requests, and refactoring and re-architecting where necessary, with a main objective of future-proofing back-end solutions.
The Back-End Engineer will also need to work on designing and implementing systems-integration APIs that our clients use in collaboration with the rest of the team, as well as be a good code reviewer, to ensure the quality of code that is pushed to our QA environment is of a high standard.

Help the back-end team decouple parts of the current application
Implement new features as required, working closely with the front-end and mobile teams
Maintain good code quality, ensure robust design as the business scales and identify opportunities for refactoring
