What You Will Do

We are looking for a data scientist that will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining and machine learning principles and techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products.

Good communication skills and solid technology knowledge are required to ensure all rules are appropriate and to ensure secure and efficient payment processing and data management can be achieved in the ecosystem. Excellent people management capabilities are also needed in this role. Your ability to ask questions, connect the dots and to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way is what we are looking for.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Interact with Technology and Product teams to understand sources of data, challenges around interpretation of data and provide guidance around the data we should log in our systems to maximise correlation and value
• Collaboration with product management and business leaders to understand current challenges and needs
• Collect data from external sources to enhance our understanding of the changes in our data trends
• Ensure data integrity
• Perform quantitative analysis on Product data for monthly product reporting
• Create data mining and analysis approaches, coding standards, statistical reporting
• Providing direction to scientists around data needs, prioritising sources and defining schema and performance requirements
• Investigate tools for transformation of data into usable formats depending on the use case, paying special attention to real-time vs batch data
• Research and Development of new data analysis technologies and validating their value within the environment
• Provisioning of Data Visualisations tools to clearly communicate findings and enable some self-service functionality where suited
• Provide easy to consume endpoints to enable other technology teams to consume data findings and utilise them in other systems
• Predictive and classification models using supervised and unsupervised learning

Qualifications / Knowledge

• Degree in a quantitative field (Physics, Maths, Statistics, Finance, Economics,
• Computer Science, etc.
• Relevant data science certifications such as Python, Microsoft, AWS, Hadoop, big data, machine learning, cloud infrastructure
• In-depth understanding of SQL and working with large-scale data sets
• Competent in Machine Learning principles and techniques

Experience

• 5+ Years’ experience as a Data Scientist
• Demonstrable history of devising and overseeing data-centered projects
• Probability and Statistics
• Prescriptive Modelling

PURPOSE

As a Finance Business Partner you will be required to develop a framework that will provide financial analysis, support and guidance to Shared Services BU and to improve the accuracy of financial data and systems, and also support and monitor cost, support the management of key contracts, generate in-depth analysis, insight and challenge to support the business planning.

Your key responsibilities include:

•  Develop operational initiatives to achieve financial goals.
• Monitor and manage expenses within the established budget.
•  Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for operational efficiency.
•  Keep abreast of trends, legislation and best practices within the financial management field and industry in which the company operates in order to optimise service offering and delivery
•  Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
• Understand the profitability and growth drivers for the business and ensure that the key insights are well understood as far as it relates to the shared services area
• Support and contribute company scenario planning and long-term strategy planning as far as it relates to shared services planned spend and investment

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

EXPERIENCE

•  Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in Finance and Commercial functions
•  Experience working in a medium to large organization
