    Rigger - Mining Maintenance – Underground Maintenance Surface

     Key responsibilities will include:

    • Carrying out maintenance work, fault finding on the Shafts, Winder ropes, external parts and all legal requirements.
    • Housekeeping in area of responsible section.
    • Responsible for personal safety, fellow workers and for reporting any safety incidents or accidents.
    • Training and coaching new Artisans and Apprentices.
    • Effectively completing administration duties e.g., work orders, spares requests, RCA (root cause analysis), etc.

    • Educating and familiarising oneself with the related drawings and functional and operational philosophies.
    • Doing proper daily routines and ensuring that the equipment and systems are operating to the highest level.
    • Responsible for first line calls (standby duties) on all mechanical failures related to specific fixed plant equipment.
    • Maintenance of all rigging and lifting facilities and equipment.
    • Operation and maintenance of Clamp Lifting Device (CLD).
    • Maintenance of shaft conveyances, attachments, elevators, and overhead cranes.

    Section Engineer - Mining Maintenance - Underground Maintenance Surface

     Key responsibilities will include:   

    • Maintaining shafts, plant and equipment within set parameters of the Mine Health and Safety Act, maintenance plans and schedules.
    • Implementation and continuous improvement of Reliability Centred Maintenance.

     Key responsibilities will include:            

    • Providing Tier 2 support for PMC SAP HCM, PY, T&D and OM modules and implementing system changes.

    Electrical Technician - Mining Maintenance - Instrumentation & Underground Electrical

     Key responsibilities will include: 

    • Maintenance and programming of soft starters 3RW44 series, Simocode Pro V and Simocode DP
    • Fault finding using SCADA.
    • Maintenance, programming and fault finding on Siemens VSD’s
    • Maintenance of AC/DC motors and AC/DC drives.
    • Maintenance of substations and mini substations, LT and HT switchgear up to 11kV.

    • Doing basic maintenance and fault finding on PLC's and ET200's up to card level.
    • Maintenance on OTN, Leaky-feeder, Cats System, Fibre network as well as CCTV and Access control system. All fire systems on surface (i.e. testing and maintaining Co sensors, fire valves and on all plants.
    • Maintaining fault finding and repairs on systems from 24V to 11KV. Navigation of Win CC systems.
    • Managing stock levels of spares in his area.
    • Planning and managing own work.

    Intrinsic Qualities:

    • Sound knowledge of the relevant legislation with regards to Winders, elevators, cranes, crushers & conveyors.
    • Sound knowledge of the relevant safety standards.
