    Reverse Logistics and Inventory Manager

    • A rewarding opportunity awaits a skilled Reverse Logistics and Inventory Manager. The successful incumbent will be required to lead and optimize all inventory and reverse logistics operations at Isando DC by ensuring end-to-end stock accuracy, governance compliance and financial integrity. The role is accountable for managing debriefing and returns processes, safeguarding inventory controls, minimizing losses and risk exposure, and driving operational excellence through effective team leadership, SAP governance and cross-functional alignment to protect business profitability and service levels.

    Reporting Structure:

    • Reports to: Senior DC Manager
    • Direct Reports: + 25

    Key Areas of Impact:

    People Management

    • Select, assign, lead and manage people
    • Train, mentor and coach subordinates
    • Manage employee performance
    • Maintain employee relations

    Reporting

    • Completion of daily stock returns reports
    • Reconciliation of third-party accounts and queries
    • Review of weekly returns reports for shorts/overs
    • Monthly review report for Reverse Logistics department
    • Daily ERP system health checks to be done and corrective action taken where necessary
    • Age reports compiled and issued weekly for all divisions
    • Daily, weekly and monthly Inventory Management reports

    Cost control

    • Departmental costs managed daily
    • AR queries resolved timeously
    • Manage departmental overtime
    • Trending of stock adjustments and damages

    Process control

    • Monitor all debrief activities
    • Ensure operation aligned to approved SOP’s
    • Mitigate risk associated from Department to the business.
    • Cycle counts done daily and full system pick face count Sundays
    • Stock count monthly or as per agreed schedule
    • Manage and reconcile stock disposal process
    • Manage and review of Inventory & Reverse Logistics departmental approved SOP’s annually or as and when changes required.
    • Schedule pick face relays quarterly.
    • Schedule quarterly mock stock recalls

    What It Takes to Succeed:

    Experience that set you up for success:                       

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar reverse logistics, debriefing or stock control role.
    • Minimum 5 years’ SAP experience (SAP R/3, WM, IM)
    • Knowledge of financial processes
    • Vehicle monitoring applications (Mix Telematics, DRM etc.)
    • Computer literacy - MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

     Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:

    • Grade 12 (Matric) essential
    • Degree / Diploma in Logistics Management is advantageous
    • Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:
    • Overtime work might be required from time to time
    • Stock count attendance is not negotiable
    • Extensive knowledge of SAP WM and IM

    • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak trading hours

    Qualifications:

    • Completed Grade 12 (Matric) is essential
    • A completed tertiary qualification (Business/Sales/Marketing/Retail) is advantageous

    Experience Required:

    • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a sales consultant role with a proven track record
    • Food Service Trade knowledge an advantage
    • Knowledge of SAP
    • Knowledge of the Sales process
    • Customer relationship management
    • Admin procedures and systems
    • Knowledge of calculating markup, margin, VAT etc.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel)
    • Valid Driver’s License required
