    Payroll Clerk - Westville

    Job Advert Summary    

    The purpose of the role to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments of the branches & casual staff. This role is critical in maintaining employee satisfaction, meeting legal and regulatory requirements, and supporting overall financial management within a company. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Manage branch and casual payroll information, including capturing details of new employee engagements, terminations, transfers, maternity covers, relocations, medical aids, overtime, and staff accounts 
    • Execute month-end procedures, such as 3rd party payments & reconciliations 
    • Handle contracts of employment & contract renewals 
    • Ensure compliance with leave policies & procedures 
    • Demonstrate proficiency in SAP payroll, utilizing the system effectively to process payroll accurately 
    • Stay updated on the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), tax rules and regulations, and any changes that may impact processes 

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Minimum educational requirement: Matric (Grade 12) 
    • Solid understanding & hands-on experince with SAP payroll 
    • Thorough knowledge of leave policies & procedures 
    • Familiarity with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) & tax rules & regulations 
    • Proficient in excel reporting & data analysis 
    • Exceptional attention to detail & accuracy 
    • Strong organizational & time management skills 
    • Ability to handle sensitive & confidential information with discretion

    Inbound Planner

        
    Role Overview:

    As our Inbound Planner, you'll take the lead in orchestrating supplier delivery schedules to meet strict deadlines. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing and maintaining booking schedules, liaising with stakeholders, and optimizing the inbound supply chain process.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related logistics or supply chain role.
    • Proficiency in Bomm system operations.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prepare and Maintain Inbound Booking Schedules:

    • Update daily schedules by meticulously comparing data from the Bomm System to the existing schedule.
    • Monitor orders placed on the Bomm System to track deliveries and identify any gaps (NO GRV).
    • Analyze receiving invoices and promptly detect instances where no invoice exists, indicating undelivered stock.
    • Collaborate with the Demand Planner and Demand Planning Manager to escalate issues and, if necessary, involve the Buyer.
    • Initiate follow-ups with suppliers, ensuring accurate stock deliveries.
    • If needed, rebook stock deliveries to ensure seamless supply.

    Coordinate Supplier Deliveries for Operational Efficiency:

    • Monitor emails containing orders from demand planners, providing valuable insight into supply requirements.
    • Strategically plan deliveries considering promotional demands, store and RDC stock levels.
    • Collaborate with the Demand Planning team for scheduling discussions and alignment.
    • Validate product details such as quantity, size, packaging, and palletisation.
    • Confirm delivery dates with suppliers and share precise delivery times.
    • Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding delivery schedule changes.
    • When required, reschedule deliveries to accommodate evolving needs.

    Manage Returns and Communication:

    • Receive information from the Outbound Manager about supplier returns.
    • Ensure clear communication with the supplier or third-party Transport Company about returns.
    • Effectively coordinate returns, especially when suppliers deliver additional orders to the DC.

    Inform Suppliers of DC Rules and Regulations:

    • Effectively communicate DC Rules & Regulations to suppliers.
    • Provide guidance on driver and crew attire.
    • Specify the type and size of palettes required at the DC.
    • Clarify delivery time frames and requirements, including staff and palletisation.
