    Lead: Consumer & Retail Transport

    Role Outline

    • To assist the BU Director in managing the national transshipment (TSP) network and associated service providers in such a way that DOT and DOD service levels of customers will be maintained. To monitor the flow of documentation, ensuring POD processes are completed correctly. Discrepancies reported timeously by TSPs and resolved. Monitoring the on-time arrival of inbound arrival of loads from MW to TSP depots. Monitoring returns from the depots back to MW. General relationships management between TSP service providers and DHL. Responsible for all secondary transport and cross docks under C&R as well as the Control Tower Operations for C&R customers.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Interface to planning, warehousing, customer services, GRA, Stock control, transport and accounts internally
    • Engaging with customer related issues regarding the TSP depots.
    • Ensure that the daily communication from the TSP meets the requirements of DHL clients
    • Ensure compliance to standard operating procedures (SOP's) and company policies
    • Responsible for stock related issues and stock losses - reporting of 999s Account weekly to TSP depots and resolution of issues
    • Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
    • Management of POD and transfers of the TSP depots
    • Operational continuous improvement
    • Budget/Cost Management
    • Preparation of KPI's
    • Management of third party staff for TSP where applicable
    • Overall control function of the TSP Function
    • Liaises closely with the planners and systems managers regarding DOT and DOD deliveries

    Skills/Competencies

    • Good written and communication skills and understand basic arithmetical principles
    • Person should have a sound knowledge and understanding of a PC and the inherent controls. Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word and Power Point.
    • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
    • Ability to co-ordinate all staff and assets in warehouse department
    • Person should know what products are handled by the Company
    • Person needs good understanding of distribution and transport methods
    • Person should be able to enforce health and safety procedures and identify hazards

    Regional Ocean Freight Operations Risk Management & Compliance Manager

    • As Regional Ocean Freight Operations Risk Management & Compliance Manager, you are responsible for executing, enforcing, and governing maritime regulatory compliance across all countries in the Region.     Dangerous Goods & Safety Compliance

    • Enforce Dangerous Goods compliance under the IMDG Code and IMO / SOLAS
    • Ensure DG declarations, documentation and processes are correct, complete, and auditable.
    • Coordinate DG audits and corrective actions.

    Security Filings & Trade Compliance Oversight

    • Ensure compliance with applicable security filing regimes, including ISF, AMS, ENS and ICS2
    • Enforce timeliness, accuracy and evidence retention

    FMC / OSRA Governance and Enforcement

    Act as the regional enforcement authority for FMC / OSRA compliance covering:

    • OTI / NVOCC / Freight Forwarder roles
    • NRA / NSA discipline and acceptance
    • Tariff and rate governance
    • OSRA‑compliant billing and D&D transparency
    • Ensure that non‑compliant activity is prevented upstream, not corrected after the fact.
    • Maintain the Regional Delegation of Authority (DoA) Matrix for all FMC‑relevant activities
    • Ensure the DoA is explicit, role‑based and enforced operationally and systemically
    • Resolve conflicts where commercial pressure conflicts with regulatory compliance obligations.

    FMC / OSRA Control Effectiveness

    Ensure preventive and detective controls are operating effectively across the Region, including:

    • Rate‑source lock
    • NRA acceptance capture
    • D&D invoice compliance checks
    • Evidence integrity and retention
    • Drive remediation where controls are bypassed, inconsistently applied, or ineffective.
    • Ensure regional execution complements global control design and testing

    Audit Readiness & Evidence Pack Management

    • Own regional audit readiness for internal mock audits, global assurance testing, FTA’s and external audits from regulators including but not limited to BEIC / FMC audits
    • Coordinate compilation of complete, indexed evidence packs across all countries in-region.
    • Ensure evidence packs meet regulatory requirements, retention timelines and global controls & assurance standards

    Monitoring, Testing & Coordination

    • Coordinate regional execution of monitoring and testing activities led by Global Controls & Assurance.
    • Support shipment‑level audits and deep dives by ensuring availability of files and data, providing regional context and driving immediate containment actions where required

    Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) Governance

    • Ensure all MAJOR and CRITICAL findings in the Region have documented root cause analysis, assigned accountable owners and evidence‑based closure
    • Track recurrence and drive preventive actions.
    • Escalate systemic or repeated failures promptly.

    Training, Awareness and Capability Building

    • Enforce mandatory training and certification for all in‑scope roles.
    • Ensure 100% FMC certification before access to U.S.‑trade execution (training-based system access gating).
    • Ensure 100% DG certification before access DG shipment execution (training-based system access gating).
    • Ensure training content reflect real audit findings, regional risk patterns and enforcement exposure
    • Maintain LMS completion data for gating and audit evidence.

    Agent & Third‑Party Compliance

    • Enforce agent compliance standards, including FMC registration / eligibility verification, periodic attestations and risk‑based sampling of agent‑handled files
    • Suspend or restrict agent activity where compliance risk exists

    Operating Model & Cadence

    • Daily “red queue” review (blocked bookings/invoices, missing NRA acceptance, missing D&D fields, etc)
    • Weekly regional compliance audits/sampling, capturing of top exceptions (Pareto), identification of repeat causes and assignment of CAPA owners and due dates
    • Monthly Regional Assurance Review and reporting including sampling results, CAPA status and compliance training completions status
    • Monthly consolidated regional reporting inputs to global Board pack

    Now, here is what we need from you!

    • Deep hands‑on knowledge of FMC / OSRA and maritime compliance
    • Strong operational enforcement capability
    • Audit readiness and evidence discipline
    • High credibility with senior operational leadership
    • Degree in Compliance, Law, Supply Chain, or Business preferred
    • 8–15+ years in ocean freight operations, compliance, or audit roles
    • Demonstrated experience handling FMC / OSRA compliance in practice
    • Strong leadership in a matrix environment
    • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
    • Willing and able to travel approximately 15%.

    Insurance Manager, Middle East & Sub-Saharan Africa

    Job Purpose:

    • Lead the Insurance Job Family covering non-life insurance operations for all business units in the Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa. (40+ Countries)
    • Act as a trusted advisor on Insurance matters to local business units within the territory including senior leadership.
    • Oversee effective and efficient provision of insurance management to DHL Group trading entities in the assigned territory.
    • Lead Insurance management activity and align services with the global Insurance Job Family, external insurance providers and insurance brokers.

    Your tasks:

    • Establishes an excellent working knowledge of the IRM service portfolio, strategy and value proposition, knowledge of Divisional strategies, organisational structures and IRM interfaces including undertaking Business
    • Review Meetings (“BRM’s”) with country, territory and regional management.
    • Delivers training and education to Business Unit insureds to promote awareness of the scope/limitations of cover and of the insureds’ obligations to ensure that coverage applies/responds.

    • Maintains awareness of external insurance market conditions and articulates the value proposition of IRM Insurance strategy to local decision makers.
    • Drives continuous improvements, using FIRST CHOICE practices, in process and service delivery to reinforce Provider of Choice status.
    • Liaise with other IRM functions (contract risk management, claims. Health & wellbeing) in the assigned territory and elsewhere to promote cross functional alignment and optimize IRM offerings and Business Unit satisfaction levels.
    • Align and collaborate with other GBS Service Lines (Real Estate, Legal & HR etc.) and Business Unit stakeholders whilst directing the review of insurance clauses/requirements in lease/sub-lease and vendor contracts, purchase orders and RFP’s/RFQ’s.
    • Provide input and content into sub-regional BRM’s.
    • Produce monthly management reports as agreed with line management.

    Your profile:

    • University degree and / or holding a professional qualification in insurance e.g. ACII, FCII, CPCU, CEBS, IEBA or other business management qualification.
    • 8 to 10 years’ experience of Insurance within a global multinational insurance company, broker or in-house risk function.
    • Proven track record in developing, coaching, and leading team of direct and non-direct reports in a multinational environment.
    • Exceptional data and analytics, project management and skills with excellent time and workload management ability.
    • Excellent written and oral communication and able to articulate technical content to a non-technical audience.
    • Full Professional Proficiency in written and oral English with proficiency in Arabic and/or French is a plus.
    • Extensive knowledge of PowerPoint, Word & Excel.
