    Junior Video Editor: Creative Services

    Specific Tasks and Outcomes

    Production

    • Conceptualising creative, innovative on-air and digital platform promos across channels and multi channels.
    • Communicating with the Creative Director to establish promo needs and create promos to match briefs.
    • Guiding and directing content promos that are aligned to key Marketing and business objectives.
    • Supplying audio, sound effects and grading of edits to create unification with pictures.
    • Logging material to select shots needed to make promotions.
    • Editing and cutting numerous promo ideas that can live across key Marketing platforms in line with brand requirements and specified templates.
    • Supervising and promoting the pre and post production audio and graphic sessions.
    • Providing written scripts in conjunction with the copywriter.
    • Creating graphic titles to visually emphasise or bolster the promo.
    • Working on ad hoc projects as and when required.

    Quality Assurance

    • Obtaining information, checking for accuracy and capturing data.
    • Ensuring the quality assurance standards and industry best practices are consistently applied to ensure all creative work is of the highest quality.
    • Maintaining the standards of all work undertaken, and the editing of video based promotional material.

    Social Media Administrator

    Description

    Reporting & Analytics

    • Bachelors Degree - Communication/ Marketing/ Journalism/ PR/ Media - Recommended

    Crane Technician

    Specific Tasks and Outcomes

    Repair and Servicing

    • Performing equipment repairs and maintenance utilising the Workshop Module and Job Cards on all gear in line with the manufacturer’s specifications.
    • Servicing of every crane, remote heads and Techno Dolly once they return from a commercial or feature film.
    • Reporting and documenting fault finding to Supervisor: Store and Engineering. Engaging with foreign manufacturer to repair
    • Completing damage reports and initiating the hospitalisation of assets on the booking system. Once the asset is repaired, ensuring that the asset is available for rental.
    • Assisting the Rental Liaisons and clients with crane, remote heads and Techno Dolly equipment queries

    Quality Control

    • Ensuring all gear complies to the manufacturer’s safety specifications.
    • Creating job cards for all items in hospital.
    • Ensuring regular service and maintenance of the long-term rental gear.
    • Knowing, understanding and operating all cranes, Techno Dolly and remote heads

    On-Set

    • Working as a Crane Operator when required. This would include, but not be limited to delivering, setting up, operating and wrapping up the crane daily or as required
    • Engage with the client (be it production, DOP or the Key Grip), assist with and offer technical support on technical recce’s as well as shoot days
    • Abide by productions onset rules and regulations, the safety officer’s requirements and always be the company ambassador on set
    • Be available for onset emergency callouts applicable to crane, Techno Dolly or remote head issues.

    Key Performance Indicators

    Performance Criteria

    Key Performance Indicator 1

    • Stripping and repairing failed crane, 3-Axis Heads and Techno Dolly equipment and accessories within 3 working days.

    Key Performance Indicator 2

    • Communicating technical issues with international suppliers when gear arrives, during the shoot and upon return to ensure there is no unnecessary cost incurred.

    Key Performance Indicator 3

    • Monitoring the number of and the turnaround time of Jobs / Repairs allocated and completed via the Workshop Job Sheet Module.

    Key Performance Indicator 4

    • Ensuring that all gear complies with the manufacturers service and safety specifications.

    Key Performance Indicator 5

    • Offering technical support during shoots to prevent down time and loss for production.

    Key Performance Indicator 6

    • Booking crane, 3-Axis Heads and Techno Dolly equipment in for repairs and ensuring that the grips item is rendered unavailable for booking on the asset management system within 48 hours. Ensuring that the equipment is available for rental within 48 hours.

    Requirements

    • A National Senior Certificate
    • A minimum of 2 years' experience within a similar role
    • A relevant Code EC1: Articulated heavy vehicle licence
