    Area Category Manager - Logistics - Road and Courier - EME & AF

    • The Area Category Manager - Logistics - Road and Courier - EME & AF is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies with 3rd party suppliers, carriers and courier companies for the specified region for FLSmidth. Responsible for all road and courier management design routing, supplier negotiations, contracting, and ongoing supplier management for assigned category. Champion in the function for processes and tools to ensure compliance. Coordinates with the Global Business Centers (GBC) Logistics team supporting the specified region to ensure alignment of routing guidelines are followed.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Manage forwarder and carrier relations for road and courier. In alignment with category strategy, defines processes including 3rd party logistics supplier identification, contract negotiations and supplier due diligence activities.
    • Set the standards and guidelines for Logistics routing for specified Sales Areas.
    • Collaborates with Logistics GBC team supporting the Sales Area, identify any technical training needs and ensure compliance to policies and directives.
    • Review and address any NCRs (non-conformance report) pertaining to Logistics or carriers issues.
    • Act as the escalation point for Logistics within the selected Sales Area.
    • Drive, support, and strategize with Logistics GBC to develop the most effective procedures to ensure best practices.
    • Owns supplier life-cycle management and is responsible for the supplier performance management..
    • Works with a high degree of autonomy, taking decisions within the assigned area of responsibility and acting in line with category and procurement strategy.
    • Presents results and recommendations for management decisions to relevant decision boards and stakeholders. 
    • Interacts with relevant management functions and closely collaborates with relevant stakeholders to identify short and long-term direction

    What you bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (or related experience)
    • 7+ years of experience in international Logistics or global supply chain
    • Knowledge of global trade regulations, classification procedures, customs regulations, and international trade agreements.
    • Experience with global trade management systems.

    Sales Territory Manager South Africa

    Role Purpose:

    • Focuses on retention and strengthening of client relationships. Accountable for sales to designated customer accounts, typically within a defined geographical area. As multiple accounts owner, responsible for supporting customers' productivity with the full range of life cycle offerings in the specific territory. Develops sales competence in the territory and driving Order intake growth to the strategy.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Focuses on account planning and face-to-face selling of FLS products and services
    • Supports development of medium to long-range sales plans and prepares strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of customers
    • Identifies opportunities in existing customer installations for replacement of equipment with products/equipment from the FLSmidth portfolio (increased wallet share)

    • Identifies and manages interactions with assigned group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities
    • Ensures problem resolutions and ensures customers receive high quality customer service
    • Ensures development of client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts
    • Develops Site Account Managers to enable sustainable support to Customer base and provide feedback on Market and Pricing.
    • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities

    Requirements:

    • B.S. in Engineering or Business degree
    • 7+ years of experience selling in the mining industry
    • Demonstrated ability to grow order intake
    • Success in mentoring peers

    Field Service Technician

    • To ensure equipment is operational and is installed as per design, specifications and QCP.
    • Assist with commissioning equipment to ensure operations are within design specifications and safety standards thereafter handover to client with necessary documentation and provide the necessary close out reports.

    • Performs tests of machinery, equipment, systems and processes to ensure their functionality.
    • Performs inspections/service assignments of materials/processes to assess the need for maintenance.
    • Be willing to perform work in underground conditions and extended working hours.
    • Be willing to work outside the borders of SA from time to time.

    What you bring

    • Qualified Artisan: Fitter/Millwright
    • Experience in at least one of the following product lines is essential: ABON-Sizers, Buffalo Sizers, Feeders
    • Thorough knowledge of equipment, products, site operations and maintenance.
    • 5 years’ working experience in the engineering discipline.
    • Applying expertise and technology.
    • Deciding and initiating action.
    • The ability to work in team environment.
    • Ability to cope with pressure and work to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work alone and without guidance
    • Valid Code EB Driver's License
    • Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Projects

    PCV Capital Sales Snr Manager | Director - Africa

    • A regional strategic sales role, as part of the regional management team, is key in driving new market opportunities and supporting the retention and growth of aftermarket business within the region.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for large greenfield and brownfield expansion projects.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
    • Collaborate with regional sales teams to promote pump products and services to all relevant customers, including EPCs and EPCMs.
    • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the region to drive business growth.
    • Leam the team and collaborate with product managers, proposals, and other FLS team members to develop and present competitive proposals.

    Education and Experience:

    • A 3-year full time engineering qualification, BSC/similar or B-Eng in Engineering.
    • At least 12 years’ experience within the mining & mineral processing industry, preferably focused on products Pumps, Cyclones, Valves & Gravity Concentrators.
    • At least 8 years’ experience in sales into large-scale greenfield and brownfield expansion projects, on behalf of a multinational technology supplier.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in servicing on a regional leadership team.
