Role Description

• Selling to and networking within a specific Investec target market to grow the client base and generate new business through a strong acquisitions focus. 
• Sourcing new business through specific networking & building key relationships 
• Sourcing new business through cold calling, extracting value from an existing client base, networking, and referrals.
• Meeting specified budget and targets per activity
• Presentation of products and services to clients
• Providing financial advice to clients on:
• Lending products: including Residential, Commercial Property, Secured loans
• Local and international banking requirements
• Treasury and forex
• Being a connector and an “enabler” for the clients' needs into the other divisions of the Investec Group, eg. Investec Capital Markets, Investec Wealth & Investment, where and when appropriate.
• Identifying business opportunities and successfully introducing leads to other areas of the business ie. IWI, IFB etc.

Description

• We are looking for a highly skilled accountant to take full ownership of all financial aspects of our TPS business, including performing financial analysis, providing financial insights, identifying risks, ensuring controls are in place to mitigate risks and ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily/weekly cash reconciliations
• Preparation and processing of the general ledger monthly journals
• Prepare, review and present annual budgets, forecasts and monthly management reports
• Monthly balance sheet substantiation
• Pro-active analysis of financial information, including margin analysis
• Identification of trends inherent in financial information
• Strategic recommendations based on analysis of financial and business information
• Challenge and influence business strategy and key decisions
• Work with finance community to ensure that all risks have been identified, documented and mitigated with the relevant controls
• Take responsibility for maintaining documented policies and process documents
• Deal with a variety of internal and external audit queries
• Preparation of presentations

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• CA (SA) or B Comm with Accounting
• 3+ years' experience in a Financial Accountant/Management Accountant role preferably within a banking environment

Key Responsibilities

• You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle from conception to deployment of each new product. 
• As a Full Stack Developer, you need to be comfortable around both the front and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. 
• Develop and maintaining web applications.

We're seeking an individual with at least 5 years of experience, who thrives in a collaborative environment and can play a key role in supporting and modernizing our application ecosystem.
• This is a dynamic, cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with system engineers, database administrators, network specialists, application support, and software developers. The successful candidate will help maintain and evolve both legacy and modern systems, contributing to key initiatives across application support, performance monitoring, automation, and platform reliability.
• Provide end-to-end application support across the full technology stack, including networking, operating systems, databases, and applications.
• Support modernization efforts across legacy and new platforms by contributing to system design, observability, performance, and quality.
• Implement and maintain effective monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Dynatrace and Azure Application Insights.
• Participate in release and configuration management, system administration in production environments, and incident response.
• Support and optimize application delivery pipelines, working with tools like Azure DevOps and GitLab, enabling CI/CD best practices.

Experience, skill and capability

• 5 Years experience in a similar role.
• Proven application support experience and the ability to troubleshoot issues across the stack (network, OS, database, application layers).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, including experience in integrating and managing Azure services.
• Hands-on experience with software development and scripting (e.g., Java, C#, PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Solid background in system administration, particularly in production-grade environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), and orchestrated deployments, with practical knowledge of management and registry tools such as Rancher, Helm, and Azure Container Registry. 
• Familiarity with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep templates).
• Experience of using and managing Git source control systems. 
• Experience of supporting application delivery pipelines (Azure DevOps, Gitlab) and associated tools.
• Experience of working directly with Development or Product teams.
• Experience working with relational databases and understanding SQL query languages
• Experience with implementing monitoring and observability on software systems using tools like Dynatrace or Azure Application Insights
