    DTP & Large Format Print Operator

    • A well-established print production environment is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented DTP / Print Operator to support day-to-day print and production requirements. The role focuses on preparing artwork for print, operating large-format printing equipment, ensuring high-quality output, and supporting production deadlines. This position is based in Boksburg and works closely with a small, fast-paced team in a practical, production-driven setting where accuracy and reliability are key

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Some experience in a DTP, print, or signage environment
    • Working knowledge of design software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
    • Experience operating large-format printers
    • Strong attention to detail and quality control
    • Ability to manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines
    • Experience with RIP software
    • Knowledge of different print materials and finishing processes
    • Background in signage or wide-format print production

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and check artwork for print, including DTP and prepress setup
    • Operate large-format printers for vinyl, banners, posters, signage, and related products
    • Make basic design and layout adjustments when required

    Technical Supervisor (Manufacturing)

    • A manufacturing and engineering business is seeking a senior, trade-qualified Technical Supervisor / Technical Advisor to provide technical oversight, quality control, and coordination between workshop, engineering, and management teams.
    • This is a technically focused supervisory role (not a full Workshop Manager position), suited to an experienced fitter with strong mechanical judgement, leadership ability, and a high standard of quality awareness.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Qualified Fitter (Red Seal)
    • Additional technical certifications will be advantageous
    • Minimum 10 years post-trade experience (non-negotiable)

    Proven experience in:

    • Manufacturing and workshop environments
    • Machining and fitting operations
    • Mechanical equipment assembly
    • Exposure to inspection, rework, and quality-controlled environments is essential
    • Computer literate (email, Microsoft Word & Excel)
    • Comfortable working with digital drawings and inspection records
    • Strong technical judgement and problem-solving ability
    • Quality-focused with strong attention to tolerances and measurement
    • Team leadership and mentoring capability
    • Calm, methodical, reliable working style
    • Able to operate across workshop floor, office, and site environments

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Technical & Quality Oversight:

    • Provide technical support to workshop and site teams
    • Review drawings, specifications, and work scopes
    • Oversee quality control and inspection activities
    • Ensure dimensional checks, tolerances, and inspection records are correctly completed
    • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions when issues arise

    Planning & Coordination:

    • Assist with task planning and work sequencing
    • Monitor progress against schedules
    • Identify and escalate technical or quality risks early
    • Liaise between workshop, engineering, and management

    Team Supervision & Guidance:

    • Provide day-to-day technical guidance to artisans and technicians
    • Support and mentor workshop personnel
    • Enforce safe working practices and quality standards
    • Maintain discipline, order, and professionalism within the team

    Site Support & Client Representation:

    • Provide technical and quality support on site when required
    • Assist with inspections, commissioning, fault finding, and problem resolution
    • Represent the business professionally with clients and partners

    Work Environment & Travel:

    • Primarily office-based with regular workshop interaction
    • Site travel required (local and international as needed)
