    Business Development Executive

    About the Role

    • The Business Development Executive will acquire new customers as we continue to grow rapidly grow an international business. You'll be responsible for prospecting and growing revenue within a defined geographic market. The role will require close collaboration with the regional sales team to maximise revenue opportunities. Some travel may be required to support customers and attend industry events.

    Responsibilities

    • Prospecting and selling of solutions to new customers
    • Following up on regional leads, outbound calling and social selling using LinkedIn and other applications.
    • Conducting appropriate consultative selling processes including product demonstrations, presentations and tender responses
    • Learning the value proposition and use cases for the assigned portfolio and territory
    • Owning contract negotiation, preparation and closing of sale.
    • Keeping up to date with market and developments, such as major regulatory changes and new product offerings
    • Preparing and maintaining an effective sales territory plan
    • Keeping an accurate record of all client activity, pipeline and forecasts within Salesforce CRM

    Requirements

    • Be able to effectively communicate and build relationships with clients.
    • Be results-driven with a dedicated work ethic.
    • Be able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
    • Be proficient in using technology, including CRM software, ideally SalesForce, and Microsoft Office
    • Have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
    • Ability to work in an team environment and receive inputs from aligned regional sales team

    Business Development Director

    About the Role

    • We are recruiting for a Business Development Director to develop and strengthen relationships with key clients across Southern & East Africa. You will be responsible for growing revenue from existing accounts while identifying and securing upsell and cross sell opportunities. This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual who enjoys building long-term partnerships and driving client success in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a strategic plan for your portfolio, understanding customer needs, challenges, and growth opportunities.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Demonstrated success in account management and upselling/cross selling to existing client base, preferably in Financial Services, SaaS, or data-driven industries.
    • Experience with value-based or consultative selling approaches.
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce.
    • Ability to work under pressure and deliver against performance targets
    • Strong organizational, time management and forecasting skills
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including experience presenting or networking at client or industry events.
    • Experience of a proven sales methodology (e.g. SPIN, Insight Selling, MEDDICC) is also a plus

    About the role

    • As a Commissioning Editor, you will support the acquisition, commissioning, and development of legal research content in print and digital formats for Lexis+ in line with Legal Markets strategy. You will also assist in identifying opportunities for new titles and editions while supporting commissioning activities to ensure content meets quality and delivery standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Operating with AI as a standard part of the workflow, use LLMs and AI-enabled tools daily, documenting and iterating prompts, and applying editorial judgment to verify and improve AI outputs before publication or stakeholder use.

    Requirements:

    • Have proven experience in commissioning, publishing, or content development (preferably in legal or professional sectors).
    • Have solid project management skills, with ability to deliver high-quality content on time and within budget.
    • Have commercial awareness and ability to align publishing initiatives with revenue and market needs.
    • Be analytical with experience gathering and applying customer, market, and competitor insights.
    • Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills with authors, reviewers, and stakeholders.
    • Be able to negotiate and manage contracts under guidance.
    • Have experience using Generative  AI including proactive use of technology and digital tools to enhance productivity and workflows.
    • Be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently while escalating key issues as needed.

    • The Account Executive plays a key role in supporting growth and client retention across our existing Middle East portfolio. You will build strong, long‑term relationships with stakeholders in law firms, corporate legal teams, and government organisations. The role focuses on maximising customer value, supporting solution adoption, and identifying opportunities to expand engagement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and grow a portfolio of Middle East accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
    • Develop and execute account plans to support renewals, expansion, and solution uptake.
    • Build collaborative, consultative relationships with decision‑makers and key stakeholders.
    • Conduct regular client meetings, virtual reviews, and product demonstrations to highlight value and encourage deeper adoption.
    • Work closely with Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to deliver a consistent and positive client experience.
    • Monitor account health, usage insights, and feedback to address risks and identify growth opportunities.
    • Manage renewal cycles and maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Contribute market insights and identify opportunities that support regional growth initiatives.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience welcomed.
    • Fluent in English; Arabic skills are an advantage but not required.
    • Experience in account management, renewals, and revenue growth within a SaaS or related environment (e.g., legal, compliance, or professional services).
    • Proven success in meeting or exceeding retention and account growth objectives.
    • Comfortable using CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Gong, Sales Navigator).
    • Self‑driven, organised, and able to manage a remote regional portfolio effectively.
