    Bank Reconciliation Clerk

    • A well-established London-based firm specializing in corporate finance, tax, and accounting is seeking the above to be responsible for ensuring that all bank accounts are accurately reconciled, discrepancies are identified, and the finance team is supported with cash control and reporting. The role ensures that the company’s financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with accounting standards.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a Diploma, or Degree in Accounting / Bookkeeping
    • Previous experience working within an accounting firm is desirable
    • Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in bank reconciliation or finance operations
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls is essential
    • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Sage, SAP, QuickBooks, Syspro, Xero)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Reconciling daily, weekly, and monthly bank statements against the general ledger for multiple entities.
    • Investigating and resolving discrepancies, including unidentified deposits or payments.
    • Preparing bank reconciliation reports for management review.
    • Monitoring cash movements and ensuring proper allocation in the accounting system.
    • Liaising with internal departments (AP, AR, Payroll) to clarify transactions and resolve variances.
    • Supporting month-end and year-end processes by providing reconciled bank reports and schedules.
    • Assisting with audits by providing supporting documentation for bank balances and transactions.
    • Maintaining accurate records of reconciliations and supporting documents.
    • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and assisting in implementing controls.

    Accountant

    • A well-established, leading specialty chemicals distributor is seeking the above to be responsible for providing comprehensive financial, accounting, and inventory support across the business, including ledger reconciliation, payables and receivables management, compliance, auditing, and operational stock control.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience
    • Experience in stock, inventory, warehousing or logistics management is essential
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Dynamics, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP) is essential
    • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
    • Excellent time management and communication skills
    • Strong Management and leadership skills
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
    • Advanced Excel or Dynamics proficiency is essential

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.

    Business Development Specialist - Adhesives

    • A well-established, leading specialty chemicals distributor is seeking the above to be responsible for driving the profitable growth of its adhesive portfolio (hot-melt, water-based, and specialty adhesives) within the agricultural packaging industry in the Western Cape.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • A relevant formal qualification in Sales, Marketing, Chemical Engineering, or Packaging Technology is preferred but not essential
    • Minimum 5 years’ proven field sales experience in adhesives, packaging materials, or consumables sold into the agricultural/fresh-produce packaging sector in the Western Cape
    • Existing network and relationships within the Western Cape fruit packaging industry is highly advantageous
    • Must have a technical understanding of hot-melt and water-based adhesive application systems (nozzle, wheel, extrusion, and spray)
    • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively in the Western Cape (Hex River Valley, Ceres, Grabouw, Paarl, Piketberg, etc.)
    • Fluency in Afrikaans and English (Read, Write, Speak)
    • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Achieving and exceeding annual sales and gross-profit targets for adhesives in the agricultural packaging sector.
    • Actively prospecting, developing, and maintaining a robust pipeline of new and existing customers (packaging converters, corrugated board plants, tray erectors, label printers, and fresh produce packhouses with on-site gluing equipment).
    • Conducting regular on-site technical sales calls, glue-line audits, and troubleshooting at customer plants.
    • Demonstrating adhesive performance advantages (runability, bond strength, food-contact compliance, low-temperature resistance, and high-speed machining).
    • Working closely with the company’s adhesives principals.
    • Presenting and training customer teams on correct adhesive application, storage, and equipment settings.
    • Preparing and submitting weekly call reports, monthly forecasts, and customer visit plans via CRM.
    • Attending key industry events (PMA Fresh Connections, Fruit Logistica local events, Cape Pack shows, etc.).
    • Managing pricing, rebates, credit limits, and debtor collection in line with company policy.
