    Production Line Manager

    • Our client is urgently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with production experience.
    • This role will supervise production operations to ensure products are manufactured safely, on time, to specification, and within cost targets, while driving productivity, reducing waste, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Qualified Tool Maker (essential)
    • Mechanical Engineering qualification (advantageous)
    • Minimum 5 years' production management experience
    • At least 3 years' people management experience
    • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation
    • Fluent in English

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead daily production activities to achieve production, quality, safety, and cost targets.
    • Monitor production output, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
    • Ensure production plans, staffing, shift coverage, and workflow are effectively managed.
    • Control production costs, scrap, consumables, and overall departmental performance.
    • Ensure compliance with quality standards, legal requirements, first-off approvals, heat treatment processes, and product traceability.
    • Drive prompt resolution of quality issues and reduce scrap through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
    • Oversee machine reliability by ensuring preventative maintenance, TPM activities, and timely escalation of equipment issues.
    • Lead, coach, develop, and discipline employees while managing attendance, performance, training, and skills development.
    • Maintain accurate ERP transactions, works orders, production records, and stock control processes.
    • Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with PPE, safe work practices, incident reporting, and safety inspections.
    • Complete accurate production reporting, scrap analysis, and comprehensive shift handovers.
    • Take ownership of operational performance, make sound decisions within authority, collaborate across departments, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

    Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (EPC Mining Process Plants – PrEng/Pr.Tech) - Sandton

    • The incumbent will be responsible for E&I and control systems project engineering, design, product development, procurement, installation and commissioning of projects; locally and abroad.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering,
    • Pr.Eng/Pr.Tech. registered
    • Relevant post graduate qualifications albeit technical, management or business related could be advantageous.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 6 years’ experience within the field of E&I and control systems engineering and construction.
    • At least 4 years plant commissioning experience.

    Knowledge required:

    • E&I (HV, MV & LV) and control systems design, deliverables, construction and application in large industrial plants.
    • Industry codes/standards and inter departmental practices and procedures.
    • In depth understanding of drawings, specifications, networks and communication.
    • Pricing, tendering and budgeting principles, tools and control.
    • Computer spread sheets and other MS office applications.
    • Safety consciousness and application of good practice health and safety.

    Skills:

    • Self-starter, ability to work under pressure, results and delivery orientated.
    • Organisational skills like planning, project management and prioritising ability.
    • Commercial awareness and sound written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to interpreted written computer software and be able to design/develop from concept new control systems.

    Senior Setter - Manufacturing

    • We are seeking an experienced Red Seal Toolmaker / Senior Setter to join a high-volume precision engineering environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting specialised gear cutting machinery and production tooling while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are achieved.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 and Red Seal Toolmaker qualification.
    • 20+ years' experience in toolmaking or precision machining.
    • Strong experience with gear cutting machinery, milling machines, presses, pneumatic and hydraulic tooling.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot, perform machine setups, and work independently.
    • Programming knowledge and machine setting experience advantageous.
    • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
