Job description

• Responsible for generating comprehensive sales reports, dashboards, and forecasts (using tools like Excel power query, Excel data analysis, Excel pivot table and graph) to identify trends, track KPIs, and inform strategic decision-making.
• Gather and consolidate information from different departments to support sales initiatives and projects.
• Using excel on dashboards tool to display gathered sales information for sales budgeting, forecasting and decision making immediately.
• Work with sales team in compiling sales reports and provide analytical support for smarter business decisions.
• Ensures smooth and timely resolution of sales-related issues.
• Managing Quotations in conjunction with the Sales Director
• Collaborate with cross-functional factory teams and sales teams.

Minimum requirements

• Matric or equivalent (Core Mathematics essential)
• Commercial degree a benefit
• 3 years Super Excel User experience
• Cost accounting would be an advantage 
• Knowledge of the Flexible Packaging Market or packaging sector

Introduction

• Novus Print is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Information Technology Specialist to assist with operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the technology infrastructure and systems. The position is based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. Senior IT Support Specialist responsible for providing advanced IT, network and end-user support, maintaining Microsoft server environments, LAN/WAN infrastructure, backups, security and endpoint systems.

Job description

• Provide coverage and support for Network operations and Information Technology Department as directed by supervisor.
• Provide technical support for the Business Unit.
• Monitor and maintain Business Unit services.
• Analyze log files and investigate and correct or record errors that are are discovered.
• Monitor Business Unit server and data backup processes. 
• Configure network devices as directed.
• Work with systems for endpoint device management. Includes software distribution, updates, patching virus protection, imaging and maintenance routines.
• Assist with network account creation and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain scripts and programs that automate repetitive tasks and data transfer.
• Technical specifications and infrastructure requirements for self- produced technical work and job processes.
• Ensure that Service tickets are closed or escalated promptly. 
• Ensure regularly scheduled technical tasks are accomplished on time.
• May be required to travel between Novus sites.
• Performs other related duties as assigned. 
• Support the department as a whole to achieve its mission and demonstrate its values.
• Participate in professional development and lifelong learning endeavors.

Minimum requirements
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Grade 12
• A Microsoft MCSE or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 – 8 years as a generalist in an LAN/WAN environment.
• Minimum 5 years work experience supporting end users’ network in a Microsoft Server environment.
• Sound working knowledge of current Microsoft Windows Desktop, Server Operating systems and basic web technologies such as Microsoft IIS, and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services essential.
• Experience in Exchange, O365, Azure and Threat detection advantageous.
• A working knowledge of the following: Internet protocols, VPN & Firewalls, encryption and certificates. Hyper-V, VMware or similar virtualization technology, SCVMM is preferable.
• Network troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintenance, HP Aruba LAN and Wi-Fi essential.
• HP Server and Storage hardware support preferable.
• Support of network print systems and servers, including on-prem and cloud-based document storage.
• Device management software such as SCCM and SCOM preferable.
• Server Backup software, Veeam and Microsoft DPM advantageous.
• IP Telephony, such as Teams or 3CX. Office 365 services including SharePoint.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Required to work after hours when required, i.e. maintenance, standby or projects.
• Ability to communicate clearly with individual computing users on all levels.
