    • As a Proposal Writer you will transform complex solution inputs into clear, compelling, and compliant proposals that win new business and deepen client trust. You will partner with solution architects, pursuit leads, practice SMEs, delivery, legal, security, and pricing teams to produce high‑quality RFx responses (RFI/RFP/RFQ), statements of work (SOW) narratives, and related client‑facing materials.
    • While based in South Africa, this is a Global Role working within the NTT Global Cloud Practice, supporting large global Cloud Advisory, Modernization and Managed Services client bids and engagements in North America and Europe, as well as local bids in Middle East & Africa.

    Key responsibilities and attributes:

    • Analyse RFx packages (RFP/RFI/RFQ, addenda, Ts&Cs) to identify requirements, evaluation criteria, risks, and submission logistics; build content plans.
    • Storyboard and craft persuasive narratives tailored to buyer personas (business, technical, procurement) that articulate value, differentiation, win themes, and proof points for cloud migration, modernization, managed services, FinOps, SRE/DevOps, and security‑compliant operations.
    • Draft, edit, and integrate all proposal sections (executive summary, technical/solution, service model, methodologies, SLAs/OLAs, governance, transition/KT, staffing, past performance/case studies, risk/mitigation, assumptions/dependencies, commercial narrative) to align with RFx instructions and evaluation criteria.
    • Collaborate with SMEs and partners to gather technical content and evidence (architecture overviews, delivery methodology, certifications, security & compliance attestations such as ISO 27001/SOC 2), ensuring accuracy and regulatory/commercial compliance.
    • Maintain and curate a reusable content library (templates, boilerplates, service catalog entries, graphics/call‑outs, resumes/bios, past performance) and continuously improve content based on win/loss insights.
    • Ensure editorial excellence: enforce house style, clarity, consistency, and brand; perform line/copy‑editing and quality checks including accessibility and plain‑language readability.
    • Support post‑submission activities: Q&A, oral presentations, BAFO clarifications, and grants/reporting‑style narratives when required.
    • Partner with bid/proposal managers and commercial architects to align the written story with solution scope, assumptions, and commercial positioning.
    • Uphold data privacy and confidentiality across all client and partner artifacts.
    • Audience‑centric storytelling: Writes with empathy for executive, technical, and procurement readers; grounds claims in evidence and benefits.
    • Compliance discipline: Maps requirements to responses; closes all compliance gaps; follows submission instructions precisely.
    • Content curation & reuse: Organises reusable content, maintains freshness, and tailors intelligently—never copy‑paste.
    • Critical thinking: Distils complex inputs, identifies risks/assumptions, and proposes mitigation.
    • Quality ownership: Treats the document like a product; drives reviews and implements feedback with urgency and care.
    • Resilience & adaptability: Thrives under deadline pressure and shifting scopes.

    Academic qualifications and certifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, English, Technical Writing, Business/Marketing, Engineering/IT) or equivalent practical experience.

    Required experience:

    • 3+ years’ experience developing funded or shortlisted proposals for cloud services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), managed services/AMS, and/or application modernisation programs
    • Familiarity with global procurement frameworks (e.g., public‑sector RFx processes, FAR/DFARS for U.S., EU procurement directives) and enterprise sourcing practices.
    • Experience collaborating with partners/hyperscalers (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) and technology alliances in joint proposals.
    • Experience building graphics and data visuals (e.g., solution diagrams, process flows) with PowerPoint/Visio or equivalent.
    • Demonstrated success writing winning enterprise or public‑sector proposals in technology services—ideally cloud, managed services, or large‑scale IT transformation.
    • Exceptional writing, research, and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail and a track record of simplifying complex technical concepts for mixed audiences.
    • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to prioritise multiple, concurrent deadlines in a fast‑moving, global environment.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), collaboration platforms (SharePoint/Teams/Confluence), and proposal management tools (e.g., RFPIO, Loopio, Qvidian) or willingness to learn quickly.
