    Storeman

    ROLE IMPACT

    • Handles the receipt of parts, equipment and consumables, their storage and subsequent issue against appropriate requisitions. Records parts, equipment and consumable movements on a computerized system. Ensures that the stores are kept in good order and are clean and tidy.
    • All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class (manufacturing) philosophy, principles and practices.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Issue materials as per Stores Requisition Form.
    • Compare information on requisitions to material issued to verify accuracy of order.
    • Ensure that the necessary authorisations are in place prior to issuing stock.
    • Identify the need for and do partial issuing as per system requirements.
    • Capture all Stores requisitions according to requisition number on ERP system.
    • File all captured requisitions according to Requisition number.
    • Receive items returned to store and ensure adherence to return procedure as per system requirements.
    • Receive material via Direct Delivery or Stock route.
    • Bin and identify store items in correct allocated store area.
    • Inform supervisor on low stock levels or incorrect/damaged materials, equipment and supplies received.
    • Assist with stock taking by counting, re-labeling and re-allocating of stock where required

    Administrator (Training)

    ROLE IMPACT

    • To provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support for all Training and Development activities within the Technical Training Centre, ensuring the effective planning, delivery, monitoring, reporting, and compliance of learning interventions that enhance employee capability, support organisational development, and contribute to improved business performance.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Procurement Controller: Direct Materials

    ROLE IMPACT

    • The Procurement Controller: Direct Materials is responsible for the coordination and oversight of administrative, logistics, and inventory management functions essential to the efficient movement of fertiliser products. This role ensures compliance with shipping and import/export regulations, the accurate and timely management of supporting documentation and the management of inventory movement.
    • The responsible person acts as a central link between direct category management, suppliers, port operations, production and finance. The role supports the direct materials team by ensuring all activities are executed accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of logistics, warehouse and inventory management, finance processes, and compliance.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Administrative Management

    • Maintain comprehensive records of purchase transactions, shipments, and regulatory documentation.
    • Prepare and manage shipping documentation (invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.).
    • Ensure the timely and accurate filing and archiving of all direct procurement related paperwork.

    Financial Accountant

    ROLE IMPACT

    • The primary purpose of this position is to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis for the Agriculture division.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Fixed Assets

    • Record fixed assets acquisitions and disposals in the accounting system.
    • Assign asset numbers to fixed assets.
    • Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
    • Prepare all journals relating to fixed assets.
    • Prepare monthly management reports relating to fixed assets.
    • Provide quality commentary on variances to plan and comparative periods.
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations (Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger).
    • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries.
    • Assist with budgeting and reporting on fixed assets.
    • Oversee the preparation of monthly cashflow relating to capex and report thereon.
    • Explore ways to optimize the use of the accounting\BI systems in place.
    • Continuously assess operational and financial risks for all business units and ensure that mitigation controls are designed, implemented and effective.
    • Support Internal and External Audits and drive resolution of findings in their area of responsibility
    • Identify non-compliance with IFRS and drive the resolution thereof.
    • Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
    • Ensuring that all statutory requirements are met.

    Internal Controls

    • Assist in the co-ordination of internal control audits.
    • Follow up on control deficiencies identified and remediation thereof.
    • Identify areas where internal controls are required to be strengthened.
    • Assist and co-ordinate the preparation of SOPs.
    • Assist in implementing robust policies & procedures across entities to ensure a robust control environment.

    General Finance

    • Prepare journals and transactions in line with the assigned responsibilities.
    • Support in the preparation of audit packs for smaller entities.
    • Support the Finance team with Ad-hoc activities/projects etc.
    • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Qualifications

    • Qualified CA ( 2 Years Post Articles Experience) / AGA(SA)/ SAIPA /CIMA

    Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years relevant Accounting and Reporting or Financial Planning & Analysis experience.
    • Previous operational finance experience advantageous

    Key Competencies

    Knowledge

    • Up to date knowledge of IFRS standards
    • Knowledge of Tax requirements related to the agriculture division
    • Knowledge of governance requirements and processes relevant to manufacturing, supply chain and commercial operations

    Skill

    • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (EXCEL & PowerPoint)
    • Advanced ERP system (SAP/ORACLE/AX etc)
    • Microsoft AX experience is advantageous
    • Good communication and leadership skills
    • Ability to identify improvement areas in finance and operational processes and drive the implementation thereof
