    Talent Specialist

    Purpose of role:

    • Forming part of the Talent team, you will be responsible for providing co-ordination and technical talent support across a wide range of talent functions with specific focus on recruitment co-ordination, employee engagement including effective on and offboarding, and ensuring accurate use of the HR systems to ensure accurate people data reporting. This role will be wide reaching as it supports both talent acquisition and talent development specialists.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Providing a wide range of talent management initiatives across the Prescient Group. Working closely with the head of talent to implement various talent automation projects to ensure efficient use of all talent and HRIS systems and reporting.
    • Providing specialist support to the Talent Development specialists who act as talent partners to the Prescient entities including: Investment Management, Fund Services and Stockbroking environments.

    Talent Acquisition Support and Co-ordination:

    • The scope of which will include, but not limited to, advertising vacancies, liaison with recruitment partners, co-ordination of interviews and candidate correspondence as well as reference checking and employee vetting.
    • Assisting in reviewing, screening, and evaluating applicants to determine potential fit, as required.
    • Efficient use of the ATS to support the development of a strong candidate pipeline.
    • Graduate Recruitment – support the Talent team with the continued development of the Prescient Graduate program. This may include attending career days and working with Talent and Marketing teams to coordinate these and other talent branding events.

    Providing specialist Talent / HR support related to employee onboarding and offboarding and assisting with all talent reporting and analytics / requirements:

    • Ensure all new starters have a positive onboarding experience, present at the monthly new starter orientation sessions and ensure all new starters are set up correctly.
    • Ensuring data recorded in the HRIS is accurate and updated timeously.
    • Supporting Head of Talent with employee reporting as required.
    • Providing guidance and support for the consistent application of policies, procedures, and practices. Handle all staff queries with professionalism and discretion.
    • Arranging exit interviews. Collation and accurate recording of all exit interview feedback.

    Assistance with the required employee vetting process and screening process, for both new and existing staff members:

    • Ensuring all vetting is completed as per company policies and frameworks. Ensure all referencing checking is completed accurately.
    • Manage the ongoing employee screening, and reporting, process.
    • Maintain the relationship with the vetting service provider, ensuring accurate invoicing and payment.

    Assist with collation and preparation of monthly and quarterly talent metrics:

    • Ensure effective use of the HRIS reporting function.
    • Working closely with Head of Talent to continually refine and develop employee metrics and reporting abilities.
    • Assisting the Head of Talent with all elements relating to employee onboarding, as well as training and development support in partnership with the Skills Development Facilitator.
    • Assisting the Talent function to embed the Prescient culture and values throughout the organisation, positively communicating the Prescient Employee Value Proposition in all instances.
    • Support the Talent function in co-ordinating and implementing wellness initiatives as aligned to the wellness strategy of the organisation.

    Required experience:

    • A minimum of 3-4years’ experience in a similar role where you have gained exposure to recruitment / talent co-ordination as well as HR / Employee specialist support and reporting.
    • Experience working with an HRIS system (Sage 300 People highly advantageous) as well as a relevant Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
    • Strong Excel skills.

    Talent Development Specialist

    Purpose of role:

    • The Talent team strives to create the best experience for all employees throughout the organisation, focusing on people and culture. The team is responsible for various talent management initiatives including but not limited to: resource planning, employee engagement and retention, embedding the Prescient EVP, talent development, career progression and wellness. Forming part of the Talent team, you will partner with Prescient entities staff and leadership to deliver on key talent initiatives for this entity primarily focused on talent management, skills development, training, career planning and driving employee engagement.

    Duties and responsibilities:
    As a Talent partner and people consultant to the Prescient businesses, your role will be varied and will require collaboration and engagement with various stakeholders.  Your key duties will include:

    • Working with Prescient entity CEO / COOs and leadership teams and working closely with the Group Head of Talent to implement talent initiatives to ensure the retention of key skills and resources, identification of top talent within the businesses - managing employee development programs and supporting the high-performance culture of the business.
    • Be an employee champion to help employees achieve their full potential, improving employee satisfaction and retention rates, and improving overall engagement and discretionary performance aligned with the business strategy.
    • Working closely with the Head of Talent and the Talent Acquisition specialists, be involved in the job description and recruitment planning process, as required.
    • Participate proactively in interviews as required.
    • Develop and drive initiatives that will create a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding processes.
    • Represent and promote the Prescient team brand, building a network to attract strong talent for the investment management business.
    • Assist in the creation and implementation of ongoing leadership development initiatives.
    • Engage and support external leadership driven initiatives and coaches, ensuring maximum value of each leadership initiative.
    • Participate and lead, as required, management / team leader training initiatives for the respective entities.
    • Ensure the leadership framework is systematised and adapted across the respective entities
    • Support the Prescient entities leadership with developing and maintaining accurate role scorecards for all roles within the entity as per the agreed talent processes.
    • Support the performance evaluation and peer review process for the entity, providing guidance and support to all queries.
    • Manages the performance calendar processes and practices as per the Prescient performance management process.
    • Regularly review and improve the performance feedback process to ensure it remains effective and aligned to organizational goals.
    • Support the Head of Talent with ongoing system reviews and digital projects to support performance evaluation at Prescient.

    Skills Development:

    • Collaborate with leadership to design individual development plans and following up to ensure the plans are realized; support employees in identifying career paths and ongoing support thereof.
    • Coordinate providing career coaching to high-potential talent and help managers utilize other development tools such as project assignments, job rotations, and mentoring.
    • Ensure all skills development initiatives are as per the Prescient processes and framework to support regulatory reporting.
    • Support the Graduate program and any associated youth development / graduate planning initiatives as required.
    • Always look for ways to improve the service delivery of Talent to the Prescient Group, ensuring SOPs are kept up to date and we are operating as efficiently as possible.

    Required experience:

    • A minimum of 4-6 years previous related experience in a Talent Development / Talent Specialist / HR Business Partner position.
    • Strong preference for experience within Financial Services.
    • Sound knowledge of EVP principles and working with EVPs to support culture development and drive engagement.
    • Competent use of Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Systems orientated and a keen interest in using digital tools to enhance Talent and HR processes.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Degree / Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources / Organisational Psych / Commerce required.

    Investment Solutions Specialist

    Purpose of role:

    • This role is designated to the technical support and servicing of Prescient’s wholesale clients, to ensure rapid and efficient communication of vital investment and fund information to this client base, which includes DFM’s, multi-managers and large IFA practises. The focus of the role will be to solidify the support and servicing to these clients, thus enhancing Prescient Investment Management’s reputation for superior service delivery in the retail investment market.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Serve as a dedicated client support for the Retail wholesale function by coordinating all servicing requests and managing operational workflows. This role will be key to building out the servicing model to retail and DFM clients.
    • Support the execution of the wholesale servicing model efficiently and professionally.
    • In support of the sales team be responsible for the creation, and ongoing maintenance of high-quality, technical marketing collateral, case studies, product comparisons, fact sheets, presentations, ensuring alignment with product features, investment strategies, and regulatory aspects of the investment industry.
    • Preparing capability documents for DFMs and making sure capability documents are updated and relevant.
    • Translate complex investment concepts and product mechanics into clear, compelling, and client-centric language tailored for various target audiences (e.g., DFMs, wealth managers, financial advisors, retail clients).

    Pricing:

    • Co-ordination of pricing committee with a focus on market insights and / or competitor analysis as well as the implementation of pricing strategy across business.

    Product development:

    • Working closely with the Head of Retail to establish the framework for deciding on what products to launch, market research and the coordination of research as required. This role is key in coordinating the product development process.
    • Participate in product development discussions, offering insights on marketability and effective communication of new strategies.
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Prescient’s full suite of investment products, including their underlying strategies, investment processes, objectives, performance drivers, risk characteristics, and competitive differentiators across various asset classes.
    • Act as a subject matter expert, serving as a critical bridge between investment teams and the sales/client-facing functions.
    • Collaborating with marketing to assist in building and supporting the DFM approach / narrative – ensure the wholesale offering is effective.
    • Collaborate with the internal teams regarding the technical review and sign-off process for all marketing content, ensuring accuracy and consistency with brand guidelines.
    • Managing a comprehensive content calendar, collaborating with the investment team and sales teams to ensure timely and relevant dissemination of technical marketing materials across multiple channels.
    • Assist in creating and refining technical marketing materials for wholesale related communications and presentations.
    • In support of the sales teams, staying informed about market trends, economic conditions, and investment opportunities in the retail / DFM investment market. 

    Required experience:

    • 3-5 years of experience in retail investments with a specific focus and understanding of wholesale / DFM clients is required.
    • Robust technical background and understanding of asset management practices, processes, and principles required.
    • Experience in technical fund marketing, including preparation of materials and client communication is required.
    • Strong Microsoft and particularly Excel skills required.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance / equivalent qualification is essential.
    • Further studies for e.g.: CFA / CFP / Similar advantageous.
