    Snr Accountant Projects & Fixed Assets Management

    Purpose of Job

    • Co-ordinate financial reporting requirements in the business units for Capital projects and Fixed assets.
    • Manage and provide a comprehensive accounting services, relating to (incl.) project/lease/interest capitalisation accounting in the day-to-day execution of financial related activities.
    • Ensure that sound financial management and reporting practices are implemented and applied in the Business and maintain a sound financial reporting environment relating to capital projects and fixed assets.
    • Ensure that effective, accurate and timely reporting is done to all stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance to company projects & fixed asset policies, accounting standards and adherence to all governance requirements.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Effectively manage the required financial accounting transactions and reporting relating to: 
    • Follow up and capitalisation of capital projects, including engagement with project managers etc.
    • Assist and take part in capital governance meeting to determine the nature of the project and assist in the review of capital allocation submissions
    • Preparation the lease accounting calculations/reconciliations – including budgeting, forecasting and evaluation of potential leases for inclusion in portfolio
    • Actively manage the interest capitalisation portfolio – including budgeting, forecasting, impairment and evaluation of whether projects are qualifying assets or not and the documentation thereof.
    • Onestream uploads of Budget /Actuals and IVC
    • Service now Capital application/Transfers/disposal reviews
    • Preparation of IVC reconciliations and schedules
    • Preparation of yearly schedule for Standardised measurement for Sasmin (SMOG).
    • Preparation of bi-annual commitments pack
    • Prepare relevant and timeous financial management information – monthly reporting
    • Exercise relevant SOX controls in area of responsibility
    • Timely resolution of queries and assistance with ad hoc requests
    • Update of relevant procedures, policies and works instructions
    • Provide assistance to manager in the identification of resolution of complex accounting matters and accounting treatment
    • Fixed asset verification
    • Insurance calculations
    • Monthly/Year end and half year end deliverables.

    Formal Education

    • University Bachelor’s Degree (B Com/B Compt. Accounting)

    Working Experience

    • 6 years of relevant experience (project and fixed assets environment incl. lease accounting)

    • CA(SA) will be advantageous

    Artisan Turbine Fitter Gr2

    Purpose of Job

    • This Turbine Fitter position will form part of the Centralized Maintenance Function within Sasolburg and Natref Operations reporting to the Natref Foreman. This team is responsible for the running plant maintenance and shutdown on various types of Rotating equipment ranging from centrifugal (including multistage) &reciprocating pumps, steam turbines, fans, centrifugal & reciprocating compressors 

    Key Accountabilities
    The key responsibilities of this turbine fitter position would be to perform maintenance on all types of rotating equipment. Execution of this maintenance activities is expected to be of an exceptional high standard and due to the criticality and applicable safety requirements including but not limited to;

    • Work in accordance with quality plans and work procedures.
    • Fault finding on rotating equipment, as well as auxiliary systems (eg, controls systems of a turbine)
    • Be conversant with the technical parameters governing rotating equipment maintenance regarding, mechanical seal installation, bearing clearances, gaskets, rotors, couplings, alignment and protection devices.

    • Centrifugal compressors (barrel & spilt face type)
    • Reciprocating compressors
    • Centrifugal pumps (single and multi-stage)
    • Positive displacement pumps
    • Fans
    • Blowers
    • Gearboxes
    • Installation of mechanical seals

    Artisan Turner Gr 2

    Purpose of Job

    • This Turner position will form part of the Centralized Maintenance Function within Sasolburg and Natref Operations reporting to the Natref Rotating Workshop Manager. This team is responsible for doing all the machining requests for the day to day running plant maintenance and during shutdowns.

    Credit Controller

    Purpose of Job

    • Control debtors’ accounts as per agreements and in adherence with credit management policies and procedures to minimise bad debts.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Manage debtors book according to established Accounts Receivables policies and procedures and agreed terms 
    • Follow up on overdue accounts to reduce debtors’ DSO and achieve set targets. 
    • Prepare and submit reports on overdue and term accounts. 
    • Collect bad debts in a timely manner and within agreed payment terms. 
    • Carry out accurate reconciliation between customer and debtors accounts. 
    • Release orders for blocked accounts as per approvals and delegation of authority.

    • Comply to policies, credit legislation, International Accounting Standards (IAS), provisions of SOX control, relevant statutory requirements of IFRS, Companies Act, and NCA. 
    • Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations. 
    • Implement Sasol Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework. 
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable the achievement of effective debt collection and reduction of debtors’ DSO. 
    • Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.

    Formal Education and Working Experience

    • Minimum National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience

    Foreman Rail Signaling (Electrical & Instrumentation)

    Purpose of Job

    • Accountable for first line leadership and management of team members to enable the work of self and team members and building their expertise and skills, and deliver frontline team results such as Safety, Rail Signal Systems, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Cost and Motivation ensuring stability and availability of railway signalling systems, point set machines, diesel electric locomotives and rail car pullers.

    • Diploma or Adv Diploma in Electrical Engineering - Advantage.

    Minimum Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Electrical, Instrumentation or Telecommunications Field as a Senior or Specialist Artisan. Acting Experience as a Foreman will be an added advantage or 
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Electrical, Instrument, Telecommunications or Rail Signalling Systems Technician;
    • Identified and measured leadership competencies.

    Specific experience required

    • Must be able to work on SAP;
    • Must be able to work on MS Packages;
    • Must be able to read and understand instrumentation and electrical drawings;
    • Must have experience on PLC systems;
    • Must be able to review, update and write new work instructions.
