    Executive Assistant - Mid Level

    About the Role

    • We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Executive Assistant to provide expert-level administrative support to Senior Executives, Investment Professionals, and their teams. This is a 6-month contract opportunity based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, ideal for an organised, proactive, and tech-savvy individual who thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless operations and exceptional support to senior stakeholders. Core duties include:

    • Managing complex schedules, appointments, and calendars for senior executives and teams.
    • Coordinating client, deal, expert, and portfolio calls, including preparation of all supporting documentation.
    • Handling all meeting logistics — setting up video conferences, booking meeting rooms, and managing related arrangements.
    • Organising comprehensive travel arrangements (flights, accommodations, transfers, visas) in line with company policies, and liaising with travel partners and other EAs as needed.
    • Preparing and submitting expense reimbursements and tracking authorised costs.
    • Providing out-of-hours support for travelling team members across multiple time zones.
    • Supporting and covering other EAs across the firm as required.
    • Maintaining and updating CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and document repositories (e.g., Egnyte).
    • Assisting with team events, webinars, and client functions, including venue sourcing and bookings.

    Job Requirements
    Qualifications & Experience

    • Grade 12
    • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
    • 4–7 years of proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or similar administrative role supporting senior executives or leadership teams.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Strong working knowledge of virtual collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.).
    • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce or equivalent) and document management tools (e.g., Egnyte) preferred.
    • Industry Exposure: Experience within financial services, investment, or professional services environments will be advantageous.

    Key Attributes:

    • Language & Communication Excellence: Native or near-native English proficiency; capable of drafting and delivering C-suite level correspondence with clarity and sensitivity.

    Finance Manager

    Job purpose:

    • To manage the full financial function of the abattoir operations, including financial planning, budgeting, reporting, cost control, and compliance. The role involves strategic financial management, implementation of risk mitigation measures, and ensuring financial sustainability, compliance, and operational efficiency in a high-volume, regulated environment.

    Principle Accountabilities:

    Financial Management & Reporting

    • Oversee the full financial function including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end processes.
    • Compile, analyse and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with operational departments.
    • Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis and commentary.
    • Assist senior management in making informed business decisions through accurate financial data and insights.

    Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure compliance with relevant financial, statutory and tax regulations (including SARS, SARB, and DOL requirements).
    • Co-ordinate internal and external audit processes and ensure resolution of audit findings.
    • Manage all aspects of statutory reporting and tax compliance.
    • Identify and implement financial risk mitigation strategies.

    Strategic Financial Leadership

    • Apply commercial and financial expertise to support profitability, growth, and operational expansion.
    • Develop and implement cost control measures, including Capex and Opex oversight.
    • Investigate opportunities to improve profitability through financial modelling, margin analysis, and operational efficiencies.

    Credit Control & Treasury

    • Oversee the credit control function including new account approval and credit risk evaluation.
    • Manage foreign exchange exposure and cash flow planning.
    • Support export administration with SARS and SARB compliance.

    • Responsible for and accountable for the Finance Team

    Job requirements

    • Matric
    • Degree in Financial Management/Accounting or equivalent qualification
    • CA (SA) Qualification
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role within a manufacturing, agricultural, or FMCG environment.
    • Prior exposure to abattoir, agri-processing, or food manufacturing sectors is highly advantageous.
    • Strong understanding of IFRS and tax legislation.
    • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAGE, XERO).
    • Advanced MS Excel and reporting tools.
