    Artisan Millwright

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Interprets and coordinates pre-work with regards to repairs, planned and predictive maintenance;
    • Execute all maintenance work in a safe manner;
    • Perform lockouts and make the work area safe;
    • Test and commission equipment prior to handover;
    • Identify and record all subsequent work found during the inspection activities;
    • Reporting of events and non-conformances;
    • Ensure optimal asset life through application of good maintenance practices.

    ABOUT YOU:

    • You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
    • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a qualified Millwright;
    • In depth mechanical and electrical knowledge of Winders, shafts, compressors, conveyors, screens, crushers, hydraulic systems and pumps is essential;
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings is essential;
    • Knowledge of Soft starters, Control and Instrumentation and SAP is advantageous.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Serious contenders will have a N2 Technical Certificate (Internal Candidates) and N3 Technical Certificate (External Candidates) with a recognized Millwright trade test.
    • Valid Code B (08) Driver’s license is essential.

    Specialist Employee Relations - Hotazel Manganese Mines

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Provide ER support to the business (including disciplinary and grievance procedures, ER climate surveys, labour stakeholder relations, workplace forums and dispute resolution processes);
    • Develop and maintain constructive and cordial relationships with employee representatives, and trade union representatives and leaders;
    • Ensure proper application of the disciplinary and grievance procedures concerning fairness and consistency;
    • Ensure employee awareness of ER procedures and practices, and updates when required;
    • Provide advice on interpretation and implementation of labour legislation and in-house labour relations support;
    • Provide advice by way of drafting opinion in matters that are not sufficiently complex to warrant a referral to legal council;
    • Obtain and compile information required by Management for salary negotiations (e.g. internal statistics, external surveys etc.);
    • Attend to matters referred to the Commission for Conciliation, Medication and Arbitration, DMRE related matter as well as union officials.
    • Present relevant training on industrial relations in general and including changes in policies, procedures and systems;
    • Facilitate preparation for and of negotiations between the company and employee representative groupings and producing negotiation agreements;
    • Facilitate annual employee relations and industrial relations risk assessments and verifications of controls.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Prior relevant experience in CCMA cases, stakeholder engagement, negotiations, contractor management & strategic IR management;
    • Past experience in a unionised  ER Business environment;
    • 4 years' experience in industrial relations with a sound knowledge of industrial and employee relations theory, principles, policies and practices within a mining environment;
    • Ability to build effective working relationships with business stakeholders and to become a reliable point of contact for matters relating to Employee relations;
    • Ability to think critically, analyse business requirements and to translate these into practical solution definitions.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    •  Tertiary Qualifications Diploma or Degree  in HR, Industrial Relations/LLB;
    •  Valid code 8 driver’s license;
    •  Must be able to obtain a Certificate of Medical Fitness (Red Ticket).

    Operator Mobile Equipment - Mamatwan Mine

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Participate in investigations into workplace incidents;
    • Report any unsafe behaviour, conditions and incidents to the responsible person;
    • Conduct pre-use inspections, routine inspections and report defects;
    • Conduct risk assessment before all tasks and identify risks and hazards;
    • Operate mobile equipment based on operational requirements;
    • Keep mobile equipment clean and in a good condition all the time;
    • Will be be required to operate the different machines based on operational requirements.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in operator mobile equipment machine in a mining environment.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Grade 10 for internal employees and Grade 12 for external employees;
    • Driver's license;
    • Equipment license on either CAT Hauler 770, 777, Cat loader 992, 980 or CAT dozer D8,  D10 is essential. A minimum of 3 licenses will be required.
