    Supervisor Maintenance Execution Central Break Down Team - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • This role is a permanent full-time position.
    • As a Supervisor Maintenance Execution, you will be responsible to lead a team of multi-skilled artisans and be responsible for the execution of Work Management and supervise work execution, inspections and observations in a safe and sustainable manner in Maintenance South

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • You will be responsible for well-designed work to ensure safe execution of all work;
    • Ensuring effective execution of all maintenance activities, including breakdowns while working on shift;
    • To co-ordinate through effective communication and prioritization plant equipment breakdown repairs to guarantee minimum downtime;
    • Ensuring quality execution and effective handover to production for all planned and breakdown maintenance activities;
    • Delivery of maintenance KPI’s for your section;
    • Manage the staffing and development of personnel & contractors within your team;
    • Be prepared to work shifts if needed and perform standby duties from time to time as required by the organisation.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum of 4 - 6 years maintenance experience of which 1 year is in a supervisory capacity;
    • Acting opportunities in a supervisor role will be advantageous.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • National Diploma in a Technical field of study OR a  T3/S4 in an Engineering field of study;
    • Valid Trade Test.

    Manager Production Reduction - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • This role is a permanent full-time position.
    • As a Manager Production Reduction, you will be responsible for providing leadership, expertise and direction to the Production Function for the safe operation and continuous improvement of production, processes and equipment in accordance with the Operation’s Business Plans.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, and South32 standards and requirements;
    • Ensure effective risk management processes are established, actioned and reviewed;
    • Deliver against People, HSEC, Volume and Cost performance targets;
    • Own the Material Risk profile for Production and verify that risk mitigations are appropriately designed, deployed and effective;
    • Verify employees and contractors adhere to work standards, are competent, and understand the purpose and functionality of critical controls relevant to their work;
    • Build and maintain a competent and motivated workforce by monitoring and evaluating team members against performance standards;
    • Accountable for functional budget and overall financial management;
    • Manage balance between business plan and resource utilization;
    • Effectively manage the function and its objectives in line with approved budgets;
    • Act as representative of the organization at stakeholder forums;
    • Manage expectations within mandate and protocol.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Aluminum Smelting particularly in the areas of production, process control and improvement and strategic planning.
    • Experience in facilitation of range analysis and opportunity/problem framing techniques is essential;
    • Experience with Risk management or in Safety or Assurance is essential;
    • Demonstrated skills in exceeding expectations whilst delivering tangible value to the asset;
    • Experience working with complex projects or studies is essential.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Degree/BTECH in Mining Engineering/ Metallurgy/ Chemical Engineering/ Chemistry/ Business
