    Case Officer - Mthatha

    Purpose of the position:

    • Responsible for implementing and monitoring the Case Management Model (CMM) through adherence support for ART patients until they are eligible for decanting to any of the differentiated models of care.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 certificate
    • Enrolled nurse qualification will be an added advantage 
    • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in counselling and testing
    • Adherence counselling
    • Basic HIV testing and counselling
    • Index case trailing
    • Able to communicate in English and isiXhosa is an advantage
    • Criminal Clear

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Capture details of clients on ART for less than one year and newly initiated patients on ART on the CMM excel spreadsheet, and plot all due appointments
    • Capture clients with high viral loads, pediatric clients, pre-ART clients and pregnant women
    • Phone clients and conducts daily linkage to a CHW or any appropriate community person for those who missed their appointment; pay a visit to clients who missed their appointments, patients who are not virally suppressed, and patients needing additional care
    • Issue routine reminders according to the schedule of appointments by sending SMS reminders
    • Responding to messages from clients and crafting an appropriate and professional response
    • Refer patients for enrolment in support groups according to the patient’s preference

    Nurse Clinician - OR Tambo (Mthatha)

    Purpose of the position:

    • To provide a comprehensive community health service that includes HIV testing and counselling services linked to screening and diagnosing clients for TB/STIs as well as TB contact tracing.The provision of treatment, clinical care and case management for HIV clients, ensuring successful same-day ART initiation with an emphasis on adherence and retention in care. The role includes screening for TB, identifying asymptomatic and symptomatic clients, same-day initiation of TB Preventive Therapy (TPT), adherence and completion of treatment. For TB clients, TB treatment is started on diagnosed DS-TB results, with adherence and completion of treatment.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Bachelor's degree (B Cur Nursing) from four-year college or university
    • Experience in HIV counselling and testing in public health services
    • 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • SANC registered
    • NIMAART trained
    • Valid code 08 driver’s licence
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package

    Finance Manager Global Fund (Fixed Term Contract in line with Funding )

    Purpose of the position:

    • The Finance Manager will be responsible for overall financial management, audit and compliance, reporting, stakeholder management and staff management. This role focuses primarily on Western Cape Government and other small projects within the organisation.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • CA (SA) and at least 3 years’ experience in finance, accounting, budgeting and management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Knowledge of financial accounting systems

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Financial management and accounting

    • Supervise and manage project bookkeeping including cashbook processing and journals
    • Ensure the preparation of bank reconciliations and reviews
    • Supervise the reconciliation of all project and statutory accounts and correct incorrect entries
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all project revenue and expenses
    • Provide oversight and compliance on project debit cards, staff debtors and expense claims
    • Ensures the capturing of petty-cash transactions to ledger and reviews data for accuracy and completeness
    • Ensures that loan accounts are reconciled
    • Ensures suspense accounts are reviewed and cleared

    • Overall responsibility for the preparation and execution of all fund related audits (internal and external)
    • Assists with preparation and execution of statutory audits
    • Assist the statutory finance team as when necessary

    Cash flow management

    • Ensure adequate cash-flow management
    • Ensure loan account and inter account transfers are done

    Reporting and budgeting

    • Ensure all monthly expense claims and financial reporting are prepared and submitted to funders on time
    • Provide insight to senior management, board and external parties through review of financial reporting for projects
    • Ensure that all reports are reconciled to the underlying financial system
    •  Reviews and interprets monthly management accounts, as allocated
    •  Prepare and review budgets and forecasts for specific funders or for the organisation

    Administration
