    Document Controller – Infrastructure Management (Gauteng)

    Description
    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    • To oversee the efficient management of the SharePoint Operations & Maintenance (O&M) platform while supporting the Infrastructure Management team with administrative tasks. This includes ensuring the O&M library remains accurate, up to date, and well-organised with relevant technical documentation, drawings, and manuals.

     MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

    • Manage the Operations SharePoint O&M library platform ensuring that all documents are available for operations teams to access when required.
    • Creating, organising, and maintaining document libraries, ensure documents are stored in a structured way, maintain version control (in conjunction with the design team document controller), manage access permissions, and ensure the integrity and security of data. Involves using document management systems (e.g. SharePoint) to streamline document retrieval and storage.
    • Gathering, organising, and distributing knowledge across an organisation - Create and manage document libraries, facilitate information sharing, and ensure that content is easily accessible and reusable.
    • Work with document management systems to capture institutional knowledge and support decision-making processes.

    • Maintain document libraries, categorise information, and control permissions for access. This role often involves managing workflows and collaborating with teams to ensure proper content governance
    • Ensuring compliance with document control procedures, monitoring document revisions, and managing access permissions. They maintain document security, accessibility, and proper archiving
    • Analyses the received documents and interacts with the stakeholder to advise if received documents are acceptable
    • Responsible for a process of defining and collecting knowledge repository that includes but is not limited to toolkits, standards, policies, processes, and procedures.
    • Using application configurators in alignment with knowledge management standards, designs, maintains and updates the knowledge repository application to ensure easy navigation of the repository and easy access to the stored data.  Ensures that repository design allows the user community to effectively self-manage content. Develops, implements and facilitates procedures to guarantee that all collected and uploaded content is applicable and up to date to ensure efficient delivery.
    • SharePoint administration - Day-to-day setting up and configuring SharePoint sites, managing access permissions, ensuring system security, troubleshooting issues, and supporting users with system navigation. Ensure data is well-organised and searchable.
    • Post project implementation review to confirm all required operational documentation is uploaded and ready for use.

    Risk and Compliance Officer (Gauteng)

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    • Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of risk policies and procedures in the organization and maintenance of a risk management framework. This includes co-ordinating service provider compliance, engaging with various Teraco departments and directly with service providers to ensure annual reviews are conducted and action items are followed-up.

    MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

    • Reviewing service provider background screening weekly report to ensure necessary follow up in respect of expired screening as well as deactivations and blacklisting completed.

    Legal and Compliance Officer (Temp) (Gauteng)

    Description
    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    • The purpose of the Officer is to oversee and assist with legal and compliance issues,. Key objectives of this role include providing support to service provider and client contracting by owning and maintaining a database of Teraco’s contractual terms with service provider’s and clients ensuring necessary obligations are addressed.

    MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

    • Administration of documents within agreed timelines and quality;

    BMS Technician (Gauteng)

    Description

    • These business-critical systems ensure accurate reporting on agreed SLA parameters (power, environmental, non-standard MSA parameters). The BMS System Administrator (BMS Technician) ensures that all Data Centre Systems (Netbotz, DCE, EBO and PME) are set up, tested, and configured to provide valid, accurate data at all times.

    OBJECTIVES

    MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

    • Conduct and manage working methods to ensure all clients SLAs are achieved.
    • Configuration and management of Data Centre monitoring systems
    • Mapping of current transformers and other power monitoring devices to internal systems
    • Verification of data to confirm the correct values are being captured.
    • Ensure no duplication of data.
    • Set up virtual sensors on BMS Systems.
    • System enhancement and reporting automation
    • Produce PME kWh reporting
    • Produce SLA reports from EBO
    • Month end Billing – Power exceeded and Footprint billing

    Data Centre Technician — Mechanical and Refrigeration (HVAC) (Western Cape)

    Purpose of the role

    • The Data Centre technician provides a range of services which revolves around day-to-day operations, monitoring & maintenance of the Data Centre facility, including, but not limited to, equipment and processes, ensuring effective and efficient operation of the Data Centre with a more focussed view on HVAC systems.
    • You will however be the subject matter expert for all things Electrical ensuring the safe and stable operation of all systems supporting client environments.  

    OBJECTIVES

    Main function of the Job 

    • Monitoring, repair and maintenance of all critical Data Center infrastructure including but not limited to Electrical Distribution, Control, Fire, Generator, HVAC and UPS Systems. 
    • Electrical subject matter expert, supporting a larger team of technicians with varying skill and qualification levels.
    • Performing and managing planned and preventative maintenance of Data Center infrastructure either self or by OEM contractor.
    • Fault finding and identification on critical infrastructure, implementing repairs or management of OEM contractors to ensure minimal impact on the supported environments with an aim to reduce overall return to service time.
    • Continuous optimisation of all infrastructure to ensure maximum efficiency gains with a keen eye for continuous improvement.
    • Proactive working methods to ensure that all client SLA parameters are maintained.
    • Monitor critical environments to ensure maximum uptime measured against 99.999% uptime principals with swift and efficient resolution of any identified issues.
    • Switching and isolation of electrical distribution and HVAC equipment prior to maintenance or repairs.
    • Assist project and consultant teams with installation, commissioning and accepting for service of new plant and associated equipment.
    • Daily walk arounds and inspections of supporting infrastructure to minimise the risk of unplanned outages and ensuring plant under your control remains at industry leading standard.   
    • Regular inspection and potential rewiring of control systems and panels to ensure the environment remains in day 1 condition.
    • Offering technical support at our facilities by performing a supporting role with control system/network installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in order to ensure optimum performance of the data center plant.
    • Continuous monitoring of all supporting systems within data halls and processes to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of the facility.

    • Knowledge or exposure to industrial control systems i.e. Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff, etc would be advantageous.
    • A minimum of 2 years post qualification work experience.
    • Previous data centre experience would be advantageous. 
    • Knowledge of other critical environments would be advantageous.
