    Production Manager

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    • Main responsibilities include overseeing the operations of a given manufacturing plant, scheduling employees and managing work-load and projects.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Management of and reporting of out of control situations, e.g. budget, safety, quality, manpower shortages, industrial relation etc.
    • Planning of the manufacturing operation and, manage all manufacturing operation on site.
    • Maximize productivity and quality
    • Implementation of corrective actions where non conformities were found.
    • The management of health and safety, production efficiency, quality, stock management and demand.
    • Consistently review the needs of the site introducing new technology as well as setting out the capital investment requirements in line with Group best practice policy.

    • Empower team through care and growth of people by providing people with the means the ability and accountability
    • Ensure the Plan adherence Schedules target are achieved
    • Investigate stock variances and implement countermeasures

    • Full World Class Manufacturing (WCM) function: Manage and expand WCM strategy at plant level, maintaining a consistent approach and ensuring targets including cost reduction are met.
    • Educating staff in the principles and opportunities arising form WCM.

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

    • Academic : Grade 12 / Matric ,Degree in Engineering , Oracle knowledge and experience 
    • Awareness of ISO international standards and systems.
    • Experience : 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment in a 24 /7 running plants

    Processing Reliever

    • The Processing Reliever provides operational support in beverage production by assisting with processing tasks, ensuring smooth workflow during staff absences or peak production periods. This role is critical in maintaining product quality, safety standards, and production efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate and monitor beverage processing equipment (mixers, pasteurizers, fillers, etc.) according to standard operating procedures.
    • Assist in blending, mixing, and preparing beverage formulations as per production requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (HACCP, GMP).
    • Perform routine checks on machinery and report any malfunctions or irregularities.

    Sourcing Coordinator: Paper & Board

    Job Description Summary

    • You will provide overall support to the category team whilst growing your procurement experience and technical skills for a future career in sourcing. You will support the team in administering RFX processes and system contracts, administering supply queries from sites and maintaining key category data (approved vendor listing, contracts, BEE data etc).     WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Conduct selected Tiger Brands RFQ’s under guidance from Category Manager.
    • Complete commodity ZBM’s (manual and Oracle) and update system contracts / quotations
    • Maintain key category data within Procurement databases (specifications, MOQ’s, lead times, cover positions, etc.) and category register key data on savings and contracts
    • Own the vendor listing for the commodity by maintaining the vendor portal key data: MRP supplier data, AVL (supplier classification, BEE status, contract status, supplier certifications and material pricing data
    • Liaise with manufacturing sites to collate supplier performance data and compile supplier service level reports
    • Maintain and resolve system pricing queries from sites including pricing of new items
    • Develop Supplier Service Level reports

    Shift Miller Assistant

    • To support milling operations by assisting with housekeeping, sampling, maintenance support, bin crew activities, sieve making, and general production duties to ensure safe, efficient, and hygienic plant operations.

    Sampling & Quality Control

    • Sample wheat and flour according to approved procedures
    • Label and submit samples for laboratory testing
    • Ensure traceability of samples
    • Report infestation, leakages, contamination, or abnormal smells

    Housekeeping & Cleaning

    • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
    • Perform housekeeping inspections and checklist activities

    Logistics Administrator

    • Responsible for helping the smooth running of the business by ensuring filing and documentation is kep up to date.     Assistant Operator

    • The Reliever in Beverages Packaging provides support to the packaging team by temporarily filling in for absent or unavailable staff. This role ensures smooth operations, continuity of production, and adherence to quality and safety standards during shifts where regular employees are unavailable. 

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Operate and monitor beverage packaging machinery (bottling, labeling, sealing, and palletizing). 
    • Ensure packaging materials (bottles, cans, labels, cartons) are available and properly loaded. 
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area in compliance with hygiene standards. 
    • Conduct routine checks to ensure packaging quality meets company specifications. 
    • Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

    Lead Product & Packaging Technologist-1

    • You will be responsible for the successfully development of good quality, sustainable, and cost-effective products that are informed by a clear NPD brief. You will be expected to deliver on tasks on multiple project work streams within confined timelines, taking the lead role for supplier interface within the business/category, supporting and occasionally standing in for the NPD Manager to prioritize and drive projects to completion

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Collaborate with suppliers to develop and source novel raw and packaging materials that are specifically suited for our technology
    • Play a strong role in external customer interface
    • Develop packaging specification and requirements
    • Develop formulations based on product concepts provided by Category Brand teams with claims and regulatory restrictions in mind and make a prototype of the product
    • Calculate NI’s and GDA’s and ensure back panel of packaging is correct
    • Determine plant requirements and aid with capex (capability) requirements
    • Draw up development recipes and submit to Finance for approval, after which ensure all recipe data is loaded into our R&D system
    • Conduct ambient and accelerated shelf life and travel tests
    • Send samples for micro testing and for independent lab testing to ensure claims can be met
    • Correct and timeous completion of documentation and ensure it is filed correctly (Raw Material Circulation form, Trial request, trial report etc.)
    • Conduct pre-trial meetings with the unit and thereafter conduct online trials to determine capability of the plant. Ensure that the prototype developed is able to run online.
    • HACCP studies – communicate any sensitive raw materials / changes to the plant or processes
    • Interface strongly with Supply Chain to prioritize and execute CI and process optimization projects
    • Identify opportunities for the substitution of new raw materials and packaging in current products
    • Work with outsourced manufacturers for 3rd party projects and support procurement
    • Employ sustainable design techniques in the development of new products (e.g. life cycle design, design for recycling, reduced waste, etc.)
