    Forklift Driver (Boksburg)

    Job Description

    • A Warehouse Reach Truck Operator’s job functions are related to shifting of goods and material from one place to the other. This operator is also involved in loading and unloading processes as well as sorting and systematic handling of supplies. The Reach Truck Operator is also accountable for daily inspections on his vehicle as well as ensuring that he has a valid license..

    Responsibilities

    • Operate the forklift according to the SOP’s
    • Adhere to stacking rules and regulations
    • Work in a systematic and organised manner
    • Assisting in identifying appropriate Corrective Action where necessary
    • Report on wastage
    • Conduct necessary checks / inspections on the forklift
    • Rectify and report all deviations to Supervisor
    • Ensure that all Safety Regulations are adhered to / report any unsafe practices / hazards to Supervisor
    • Adhere to Personal + Factory Standards in respect of hygiene
    • Ensure equipment + work area is clean
    • Basic Forklift maintenance
    • Adhere to HACCP and BRC principles
    • Assisting in making up pallets of goods and materials to either dispatch or hand over to production.
    • Inspecting incoming deliveries as per the SOP, and ensure correct goods are off loaded and signed for.
    • Assist with stock counts and CHEP pallet counts.
    • Stack newly received goods as per Warehouse Controller instructions.

    Qualifications

    • Core knowledge – Health, Safety and Risk Policy & Procedures, Awareness of the safety and official procedures for handling goods and supplies, Be aware of Environmental Policy and work in accordance to the Policy.

    • Function –> 5 years experience with operational exposure / 5 years working experience on high speed packaging machines

    • FTC - Measurement & Testing Analyst

    THE JOB AT A GLANCE

    • You are responsible for the control of all incoming materials and custodian of measuring and testing equipment /methods. You handle non-conforming materials and continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Custodian of materials specifications
    • Control incoming materials (accept or reject)
    • Implement sampling plans and testing methods.
    • Manage material retention and reference samples.
    • Identify non-conforming materials (making a disposition decision)
    • Raise non-conformances, communicate to supplier and procurement.
    • Drive non-conformance closure.
    • Manage validation, calibration and verification of measurement and testing equipment.
    • Ensure that only validated methods are used.
    • Drive GLP’s
    • Participate in internal and external audits.
    • Participate in/or develop proficiency testing schemes.
    • Ensure adherence to sampling, handling and testing schedules.
    • Interpret results (accept or reject)
    • Provide professional opinion in case of non-conforming results, where required.
    • Raise non-conformance and communicate processes to manufacturing/site quality manager /lead.
    • Analyze test results of materials and trend data to identify CI opportunities.
    • Verify measurement and testing equipment data for trend to identify CI opportunities.
    • Drive quality continuous improvement programs.
    • Participate in Tiger Brands MECP activities.
