    Indirect Tax Specialist

    • Qualification level required for the position : Level 7 = Master’s or equivalent level
    • Technical skills required for the position : Customs and Excise regulations, Oil and Industry experience Behavioral competencies required for the position : Management skills, communication skills, negotiation skills, Language skills required for the position : English - Fluent (Speaking and Writing)
    • Certification required for the position : Registered Tax professional;
    • Specific knowledge required for the position : SAP, Accounting,
    • Level of experience required for the position : A minimum of 6 - 8 years’ experience in VAT and Customs and Excise environment, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector

    Candidate Profile
    The Indirect Tax Specialist position is responsible for :

    • Know, respect and ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct.
    • Conduct indirect tax compliance reviews (namely VAT, PAYE and sales levies) and ensure adherence to regional regulations.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with customs and excise tax regulations within the regional scope.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize tax processes and minimize liabilities.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address tax-related inquiries and issues.
    • Manage and review timeous and accurate preparation of Levies payments, Carbon tax account and Customs deferment payments.
    • Manage and review all indirect tax returns and payments accurately  and timeous for submissions/payments to tax authorities.
    • Ensure that all facilities storing fuel levy products comply with Customs and Excise Act.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure accurate tax reporting and documentation.
    • Advise the company on all Customs and Excise Act, Value Added Tax, Payroll taxes and sales levies (IP Tracer, SACAA and Rose Foundation).
    • Manage ad-hoc projects with the Tax Manager
    • Provide training and guidance to team members on VAT, PAYE, Expatriates and customs & excise tax matters.
    • Analyze and interpret changes in tax legislation and their impact on the organization.
    • Prepare and submit required tax filings and documentation in a timely manner.
    • Liaise with government authorities and agencies regarding tax compliance and audits.
    • Manage internal audits and external audits, ensure all queries are addressed and findings resolved.
    • Preparation of policies and processes relating to VAT, Levies, PAYE, customs and excise, 
    • Represents the companies in South African Petroleum Industry Association (SAPIA) SARS stakeholder committees, other government bodies e.g. CEF, NERSA, DEFF etc ensuring best interest of all companies.
    • Coach, lead, and transfer skills to staff members and business at large.
    • Liaise with company clearing agents on all customs and excise matters of clearing, ITAC import and export permit applications.
    • Apply for Customs and Excise licenses, deferment etc. Duly completion, renewals of all Customs and Excise licenses, registrations as prescribed in the Customs and Excise Act and Petroleum Products Act.
    • Manage and support indirect tax accountants (for Customs & Excise and VAT) assigned to indirect tax

    Assistant Country Security Manager

    Activities
    The Assistant Country Security Manager position is responsible for:

    • Conduct security risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities.
    • Collaborate with local authorities and security forces to enhance security measures.
    • Implement and monitor security protocols and procedures.
    • Coordinate security training sessions for staff and contractors.
    • Assist in the development and execution of security and emergency response plans.
    • Maintain and update security documentation and reports.
    • Develop effective KPIs for monthly management reporting (including trend analysis and action plan tracking) to ensure improvement of security within the country/area of responsibility

    Candidate Profile
    To qualify for this role, you would possess the following: 

    • Qualification level required for the position : Level 6 = Bachelor’s or equivalent level
    • Technical skills required for the position : Minimum of Diploma in Risk management or related field A minimum of ten years'
    • experience in the Corporate Security industry, operations management or related field. An experience in military, police, or protection services. 
    • Knowledge and understanding of Security legislation, governance frameworks and applicable charters (internal and external)
    • Behavioral competencies required for the position : MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint Good communication and analytical skills,
    • Language skills required for the position : English at a professional level
    • Certification required for the position : Diploma in Risk Management
    • Specific knowledge required for the position : Knowledge and understanding of Security legislation, governance frameworks and applicable charters (internal and external).

    Card Sales Representative

    Activities
    The Card Sales Rep KZN position is responsible for:

    • Know, respect and ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct. Sales Development:
    • Maintain and grow sales volumes at profitable margins for On-road solutions across TotalEnergies Retail, Commercial, and Truckstop sites.
    • Proactively sell new products and options to customers, including direct selling and cold calling, to enhance portfolio profitability. Participate in business-building campaigns, expos, forums, and activations to promote offerings and generate leads.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Manage and nurture relationships with customers including Government and Provincial customers, including ownership of tender responses and requests
    • Ensure governance of customer contracts in line with company requirements and procedures. Register all customer activities, communications, and incidents in the CRM system( Salsa ) Manage customer claims whilst maintaining a 48 hour service level agreement.
    • Manage basic customer requests and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Portfolio Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze the customer portfolio to identify opportunities for increased profitability.
    • Report monthly to management on key portfolio data, including visits, sales, guarantees, and credit matters. Extract and present business review reports to customers during visits (plan of contact).

    Risk and Credit Management:

    • Execute action plans for customers on risk management, including guarantees and overdue invoicing, in line with risk committee recommendations.
    • Maintain Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) as per objectives (target: 31 days).
    • Effectively manage marketing fee claims for the area and ensure timely resolution.

    Training and Support:

    • Ensure all customers are trained on the extranet website.
    • Train and support sales staff, merchants, and customers in understanding On-road EFT solutions.

    Marketing and Strategic Planning:

    • Participate in and continually revise the marketing plan for the sales area, with a focus on fleet activities , based on thorough market research.

    HSEQ:

    • To effectively manage and minimize HSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring
    • Compliance with all HSE Policies, rules, guideline, and legal requirements
    • Promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies
    • That HSE competency requirements are identified & enforced within area of responsibility

    Candidate Profile

    • Qualification level required for the position : Level 6 = Bachelor’s or equivalent level
