    Key Responsibilities:

    • We are looking to hire an energetic picker to assist us in our Warehouse in Pinetown.
    • The picker will utilize requisitions and order sheets to pick a wide variety of items, place and arrange items in bins following specific instructions.
    • The picker will check stock received for damage, and confirm correct items and quantities are selected. You will perform duties in accordance with standard operating instructions and ensure inbound and outbound orders are correct and defect-free.
    • To ensure success in this position you will need to perform to a high level of accuracy.
    • Top candidates will be upstanding, organized and able to perform under pressure.

    Key responsibilities

    • Ensuring work areas are kept clean, neat and well-organized.
    • Packing incoming stock away, taking inventory and reporting shortages.
    • Keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments.

    Key Performance Areas

    • This role is critical to ensuring the seamless flow of electrical products—from receiving and inventory control to dispatch—while managing a large team under pressure.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receiving & Inbound Logistics
    • Supervise the receipt and inspection of incoming goods, including cables, fittings, lighting, and appliances

    • Coordinate with suppliers and transporters to manage delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies

    Courier Supervisor: Job Summary:

    • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Courier Supervisor to oversee and manage the daily operations of courier and export logistics.
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in export procedures, hands-on experience coordinating with freight forwarders and courier companies, and a clear understanding of waybills, shipping documentation, and handover protocols.
    • This role also requires close internal coordination to ensure orders are processed and shipped accurately and on time, as well as managing freight cost communication with customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Supervision & Coordination:

    • Supervise daily courier operations including pickups, drop-offs, and deliveries.
    • Coordinate the timely and accurate handover of shipments to export and courier companies.
    • Ensure proper packaging, labelling, and documentation of all outbound shipments.

    Order Management & Internal Coordination:

    • Proactively chase and follow up on internal orders to ensure all shipments are accurately picked, packed, and invoiced in time for scheduled handovers.
    • Work closely with warehouse, sales, and finance teams to ensure readiness of orders in line with the daily dispatch and export report.
    • Maintain clear communication across departments to avoid delays and ensure smooth dispatch operations.

    Export Logistics Management:

    • Manage export shipments, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and internal policies.
    • Prepare and verify waybills, export documents, and customs paperwork.
    • Obtain freight quotes from courier and freight companies in order to facilitate customer freight approvals and ensure freight costs are paid.
    • Monitor and track international shipments until final delivery.

    Vendor Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, courier companies (e.g., DHL, FedEx, UPS), and third-party logistics providers.
    • Negotiate rates, resolve service issues, and ensure optimal service levels from external logistics partners.
    • Act as the key point of contact for all escalations and service issues related to courier and export shipments.

    Process Improvement & Compliance:

    • Identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy.
    • Ensure all logistics activities are in compliance with company policies and export/import regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of shipments, handovers, and courier logs.

    Team Support & Reporting:

    • Train and supervise junior staff handling shipments and logistics.
    • Provide regular reports on courier performance, delays, and logistics KPIs.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a courier/logistics supervisory role.
    • Proven experience managing exports and dealing with freight and courier companies.
    • In-depth knowledge of waybills, shipping documentation, and handover procedures.
    • Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and Incoterms.
    • Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
