    Stock Clerk - Ward or ICU

    Responsibilities:

    • Reconcile physical stock against the SAP system.
    • Replenish consumable stock throughout the hospital on days identified by management.
    • Generate the material requirement planning (MRP) for all storage locations as per the replenishment roster.
    • Issue, pick and pack replenishment inventory for storage locations or cost centers.
    • Deliver and unpack inventory in assigned storage locations.
    • Capturing of stock and consumable transfers between storage locations or cost centre
    • Monitor and identify any expired and damaged stock in the wards.
    • Identify excess and slow-moving stock in the storage locations allocated to the incumbent and return the inventory to pharmacy where applicable.
    • Review the stock days on the storage location (SLOC) report and adjust stock quantities to material requirement planning (MRP) levels.
    • Review the error log report and ensure that all error logs are cleared.
    • Liaise with Nursing staff in the wards to ensure that all billings are up to date before updating replenishment stock requested.
    • Identify stock shortages and communicate with the Unit Managers regarding these shortages.
    • Manage out of stock and back-order items.
    • Ensure that all relevant stakeholders receive all out-of-stock letters.
    • Ensure manual charge sheets are available during Mobil and Mobit down time.
    • Ensure neat packing of stock onto shelves and consider the principles of FEFO (First Expiry First Out) and FIFO (First in First Out) where applicable to maintain stock rotation
    • Prepare and sequence all stock books for assigned units.
    • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, theft and losses to the Unit Manager and Pharmacy Manager.
    • Assist with the packing of stock in preparation for theatre cases.
    • Follow up on outstanding GRV’s
    • Investigate open purchase orders as well as back orders
    • Ordering hospital stores stock on the preferred procurement system as required
    • Verifying prices on the procurement system
    • Receiving and checking stock with the designated person upon delivery
    • Unpacking of stock in hospital stores
    • Ensuring that the invoices or delivery notes are confirmed, signed and delivered to relevant department for Good Receipting
    • Keep hospital stores secure at all times by ensuring the non-entrance of unauthorized personnel
    • Keep up to date with evolving changes on SAP and OrderCo
    • Take part in all aspects of cyclical and rotation count processes in all storage locations including Hospital stores as per the schedule prepared by management, including but not limited to the following:

    CSSD Supervisor

    Role Summary:

    • The CSSD Supervisor/Clinical Nurse(R/N) - PB Qualified (12 Months) is a professional who remains responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of individualised, holistic and person centered nursing care of a patient, their families or the community, either performed directly or indirectly.
    • The incumbent ultimately coordinates patient care within the concept of the multi-disciplinary health team.

    Unit Manager - Theatre

    ROLE SUMMARY

    • The Unit Manager (Theatre) will be responsible for coordinating improved quality nursing care by ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice. 
    • The incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team. In accordance the incumbent will be accountable for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, and training.

    Financial Management

    • Manage HR costs in such a way as to ensure cost effective quality care including overtime, temporary staff.

    • Perform Strategic planning and set objectives to ensure that operational requirements are met including quality patient care.
    • Conduct short-, medium- and long-term strategic planning with the team and compile an annual Theatre Strategic plan.
    • Assess objectives in line with the annual performance process to monitor progress.
    • Review Action Plan to ensure that objectives are met timeously.

    • Organise Theatre to ensure a safe therapeutic environment.

    Theatre Unit Manager

    Inherent Requirements
