    Graduate Electrical Engineering - Modderfontein

    • You as a Graduate Electrical engineering will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Gauteng, South Africa. You will be trained on the products, systems, and service activities for the grid automation portfolio, and once proficient, you will support in evaluating customer requirements within the utilities, industries, and infrastructure segments to draw up competitive, tailor-made solutions.

    Your responsibilities  

    • Reading tender specifications, proposing the most economical technical solutions to customer requirements, and preparing complete material costing, sales price, and technical documentation as per the tender requirements.
    • Collecting and archiving documentation regarding the offer or order and records assumptions and decisions taken during the development process. Regularly reporting the status of the bids or estimates or quotations using defined tools and collecting and analyzing the reasons for tenders being lost and won.
    • Supporting the sales team in technical clarifications for the submitted offers during the bidding stage or order stage.
    • Technical support for the sales organization in meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
    • Creating of competitive offers for systems and products including their cost calculation, considering market-oriented technical and commercial aspects, and based on the relevant internal guidelines and processes.
    • Active sales support with administrative tasks within the sales process, especially with offer and risk reviews, strategic considerations of the scope of delivery and determination of appropriate contractual conditions.
    • Active development of our solutions, in line with customer specifications and general market requirements.
    • Active support in market development in collaboration with new and existing customers.
    • Identifying potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates, and any related contract agreements across customers or channels. Providing information and or participates in the Risk Review process by Company policy.
    • Supporting in collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements.
    • Should be capable of managing the set target dates & timely work completion.

    Product Marketing & Sales Graduate - Modderfontein

    • You as a Product Marketing & Sales graduate will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Modderfontein, Gauteng, South Africa. Securing sustainable transformer service profitable growth.  Making sure the sales teams look after the whole sales funnel from the activation of the related quotation and bid and proposal and tendering stage to price setting in full coordination with the WCFE organization with the objective of speeding up the decision-making process and price decisions. This role is also instrumental for multi-TRES unit bids and cross-hub tenders’ coordination and responsible for pulling in from the TRES units application engineering teams and technical knowledge to influence technically specs when there is still no RFQ; Responsible for service promotion in APMEA in coordination with the Hub team and Business unit.

    Transformer Service Manager - Johannesburg

    • You as a Transformer Service Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Field Service Engineering work is focused on providing technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment including Identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up. Researching, evaluating, and recommending new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs. Developing on-going relationships with customers to secure future business. May resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems and/or train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased A Team Leader (M2) supervises professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some para-professional employees. Responsibilities typically include Setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results. Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex. Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Service strategy: Driving implementation of the Service strategy condition assessments, bushings diagnostics, Digital portfolio etc. Ensuring corresponding plans are implemented consistently in the Service organization leveraging on the synergies between PGTR.
    • Performance targets: Driving, implementing, reports and monitors performance targets as part of the local unit P&L (OPQ, OTD, CCRP’s, Orders, revenue, productivity, investments, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, etc.).
    • Service delivery: Running the day-to-day service business to ensure profitable growth and improvement of Service productivity. Implements agreed delivery and performance standards to ensure consistency in quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Customer approach: Executing the global service and delivery sales channel strategy within the local unit. Implementing productized Service offerings and materials for marketing purposes and invests in Service Sales to increase market penetration. Building sustainable customer relationships to ensure local client growth, satisfaction, and retention together with Sales. Supporting Sales resources in customer meetings. Driving consistent development of processes and practices based on customer feedback (Net Promoter Score (NPS)).
    • Operational excellence: Investing in improving the quality of existing Service products and in developing new Service products to expand the portfolio in line with global direction.

    • Leading the Service organization and take responsibility for Service Sales, Operations, Profitability and Cash flows a complete Profit and Loss responsibility. Optimum utilization of resources with an eye on any under absorption.
    • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
