    Head of Sales /Sales Manager (Digital Industries)

    What are the responsibilities for the role?

    • Defines and ensures implementation of sales strategy, organization, policies and guidelines, in line with the overall business strategy of the assigned organizational unit.
    • Ensures accomplishment of strategic market research and key customer surveys to identify respective strategic business opportunities.
    • Defines key markets respectively identification and exploitation of key customers
    • Drives and monitors key market development programs.
    • Ensures effective sales setup capitalizing synergies in collaboration within and across Siemens units (i.e. aligned setups, aligned processes, aligned incentive schemes, etc.)
    • Ensures an effective sales organization and infrastructure to foster cooperation with other parts of the value chain (i.e. Marketing & Communication, Product Management, etc.)
    • Responsible for the Sales planning, Target Setting and Target Achievement
    • Acts as ultimate point of escalation to solve mission critical issues and problems.
    • Heads overall assigned sales organization and leads all related management and staff.
    • Lead the team of various sales channels such as Vertical Sales and Area Sales while providing coaching/mentoring support and cementing a growth mindset
    • Steering the entire sales organising through CRM Tools such as SieSales
    • Responsible for all Sales and for driving the Sales Strategy of South Africa as well as Sub Saharan African.
    • Steering of the Partner Network
    • Ensures successful driving and implementation of Sales Strategy respective go to market for Siemens Digitalization
    • Ensures successful implementation of BU specific go to market & sales strategies cross selling.

    What do I need to qualify?

    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience across different (Automotive; Food and Bev; Manufacturing) Industries is required
    • University Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Electrical Engineering, automation, computer engineering or equivalent work experience (Advantageous)
    • Demonstrable (Extensive) Sales experience is prerequisite
    • Extensive Management experience in leading team of diverse teams, disciplinary and functionally.
    • Demonstrable experience in Partner Management
    • Knowledge in Siemens automation and drives products (Digital Industries portfolio) is mandatory.
    • Good understanding of future trends like Industrie 4.0 principles/ Digitalization.
    • Should be proficient in English (verbal & written).
    • Must be prepared to travel both nationally and internationally.

    Innovation and Digital Business Manager - DI (Digital Business)

    Siemens Digital Industries is looking for a Digital Business manager that is responsible for “opening doors” for the sales organization and maintaining a strong customer journey based of a suite of digital software tools.

    Drives business growth through innovation by detecting new business opportunities. May have a special focus on digitalization, transferring the ideas into new offerings with clear focus on future growth by generating customer value. Leads a team of Innovation & Digital Business Professionals.

    Responsibilities of the Role

    • Adapt global digital strategy to local ecosystem and customer journey
    • Manages foundation related activities to enable further digitalization of all sales channels

    Ensures required market and competitor information in the digital environment

    • Initiates discussions and decision making about local digital platform activities like E-business readiness, availability of product data exchanges and sales campaigns
    • Manage performance of the digital channels
    • Ensures strategic and tactical changes to applications, processes and content elements required to drive digital business; also to mitigate future risks.
    • Ensure respective knowledge (portfolio, domain, industry branch) of his/her sales organization
    • Responsible for leading an assigned team of Inside Sales reps and ensures adherence to sales and compliance guidelines

    • Overview of digital business sales territory
    • Aligns sales budgets/KPIs for the team and ensures achievements of the target setting
    • Conducts regularly coaching/achievement meetings (e.g., weekly) with Digital Business Sales Team (by support of e.g., sales KPI)
    • Responsibility to develop the overall sales volume for Siemens Digital Industries
    • Monitoring and validation of customer leads on Sales Tools
    • Acts as escalation level for respective cases and issues.
    • Supports in matters of digital channel strategy development, considering of existing ecosystem, and competitor information
    • Adherence local EHS Policies and Procedures

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Relevant Degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering coupled with a Sales qualification
    • 6-8 years’ experience in technology sales and marketing preferably in the B2B industry
    • Experience with digital communication channels and online sales tools (Sales engagement, CRM and Microsoft software suite)
    • Experience working with various business units in collaboration with Sales/account managers and stakeholders of Siemens Digital Industries
    • Experience with applying systematic techniques to streamline processes and reduce manual touch points
    • Experience with project planning tools to develop solutions and strategies for sales activities
